OSAKA-JO SAKE SQUARE 2023(´¦) Very sharp and refreshing, a dry sake with a thick body that is not light. A junmai sake that tastes great chilled. No strong character, but good for everyday drinking I imagined that Frog's ginjo-nama-zake next to it would also be good, but my weak liver stopped screaming and I gave up on it! This is the first time I've seen this warehouse. The rice used is Maikaze. As the name suggests, everything, including the yeast, is from Gunma, and it seems to be an annual event. The mouthfeel is mild. It is bitter-sweet with a slight banana aroma. It gently finishes with a hint of umami. It seems to have a lot of depth. Well-balanced and cohesive sake. I️ would like to visit Funao Falls too!

After a few drinks, it was quite late, so I headed home while eating a golden dharma bento commemorating the 140th anniversary of Takasaki Station. I will close my Gunma trip with "Akagisan" and "Funao Taki"! Sweet and sugary aroma like sugar. The taste is smooth and silky, and while it has a Gunma sake-like quality, it tastes more like a sweet sake derived from brewer's alcohol. There is nothing outstanding about it, but it is a perfect match for ekiben (boxed lunches), with its unobtrusiveness, slight sweetness, and crispness!

🐟 This is the first ayu we tasted at the ski lodge. It was refreshing and sweet, and was a nice palate cleanser when drunk in the middle of a meal. It's a shame that I could only drink one cup of it. The label is cute too 🐟

Myokayama is my first time. I bought it with Yume brew. The impression is that the acidity is strong at first. The rice is sweet and fresh. It has a little bit of cemedine. I would like to drink it with nabe (hot pot) or strong dishes. I did some research on this brewery and found out that it is owned by Oizumi, a pachislot-related company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. It seems that Oizumi has a chain of izakaya (Japanese style pubs) and they serve sake there. It seems to have lost its cemedine taste and become sweeter than when I first opened it.

Although it's next door, I haven't had Osaka's sake yet. I was thinking of Akishika or Katanozakura for Osaka, but I found this one at AEON today while shopping. There is no outstanding sweetness or spiciness, but a well-balanced taste. It's a good sake for eating. When I paired it with yuba and fried eggplant with sesame oil, I felt like I could drink as much as I wanted 😋. Good sake in the neighborhood too👍.

OSAKA SAKE & FOOD EXPO 2024 (2) Gindagawa, which I have had a cup of special honjozo or something before. Was Gintagawa sold in Niigata? I thought it was a classic type, but unlike the image on the label, the acidity was noticeable and it was a bit modern? It looks like it would go well with Western food 🍴.

It is too strong by itself, but it becomes delicious when combined with snacks. At home. This is the second one in the Hokkaido series. Kokushi Muso is a metaphor for being so good that no two people under the sun are alike. I was expecting it to have a strong alcoholic taste, but I was betrayed in a good way. It has a fruity aroma and a refreshing, clean taste that goes well with any meal. I think I'll end up drinking too much of it. But the words "Hokkaido Limited" are magic. I feel like I got a great deal just from this word.

The aroma and sweetness are mild, and the umami of the rice can be felt well, giving it a mildly juicy impression. It goes well with meals and is of course delicious on its own. It went well with crispy grilled chicken (salted and teriyaki flavors), turnip and chicken in cream sauce.

Shiga Local Sake Festival in Otsu 2025④. Sato Shuzo and Kohama booth. This time, all the sake were made with Yamadanishiki. ◉Kohama Junmai Ginjo-shu Unfiltered Nama-shu Nama-shu Fruity aroma. The aroma is fruity, with a slightly bitter chocolate flavor and a rich, mellow flavor. This was my favorite type of sake. Kohama Tokubetsu Junmai Sake A standard sake. It is often served at restaurants that serve funazushi. A good food sake. Junmai Ginjo Namazu Jiyu Read as "ume naru jiyu" (literally, "while being born, it is free"). Nama-zake. I think they said they use a yeast that produces high malic acid. Pleasant acidity with a fruity taste. They also make ume (plum) sake and a blue colored sake that is a ginjo-shu.

My favorite Chiba sake "Iwanoi" is brewed with ultra-hard water (hardness 240). It has the delicious flavor of Omachi and the moderate bitterness and sharpness of hard water! The taste is deep and the acidity is dignified! It can be drunk as it is, or as a food sake...no...food sake🍶 is better 🙆I'm sipping it with boiled gammo and sashimi...🙆I'm sipping it with a side dish.
