Since I was also visiting Kyoto, I had a second glass of "Ginshari", a Kyoto sake. The aroma is faintly muscat-like. There is no description on the 300ml bottle, but according to the official website, it seems to be called Shiboritate Nama-nihan-shu. It has a good balance of sweet and spicy and is easy to drink. This sake was given to us by a visitor to Kobayashi Sake Brewery in Niigata, which is famous for its signature Akita dog.
