Here's the second installment of J&N's annual repeat drinking: ‼️ I can't contain my joy at being able to drink again this year 🤭The corners of my mouth are rising 🤭 "Cicada Shigure" 🤗.
As with Tasoore, I looked back at my thoughts on past J&N posts! Here it is!
2022: It's like a cider with less carbonation and more acidity 😋.
2023 - Good acidity with a moderate sweetness, delicious 😋.
2024 This is this! This acidity ‼️ Japanese style white wine😍
Not as onomatopoeic as 🍊tasoore🍊😆I feel like it's a perfect match for J&N's mitts as well as Yamamoto's split, which is in great shape👍
Now, I'm going to try it for the 4th time this year 😙.

And the entrée of the day was tempura of cod sprouts, yams and maitake mushrooms 😋I remember about 30 years ago 😅 when I was deep in the mountains of Gunma at my previous job, I picked wild cod sprouts that grew wild and ate them tempura in abundance 😌.

I corked half of the bottle to Chuaia-san, and next I had Ukiyo Sugata, which has the character "Sugata" as a face on the ‼️ label 🤗.
Then I'll make love to you right away!
It has a mild aroma and a fresh sweet and sour aftertaste with a bit of bitterness😙It's a well-balanced and delicious bottle 😋 It's also easy to drink, which is hard to believe it's 17.3°, so I drank a lot even though it was my second bottle 😅.
And on this day when it was raining all day, my son told me that he watched "JIN" on Netflix and was so moved by it that we decided to watch it again 🤗.
It was 15 years ago, but we were hooked and watched the whole season 1 to 2 in two days 😆.
We ended up crying beautiful tears together 🥹...something about drinking "Ukiyogata" and going back in time to the end of the Edo period...maybe it was a coincidence but it was inevitable 😌.
I was drawn in by the performances of the gorgeous and talented actors 🤨I had a good time watching it 🥺.
And Miki Nakatani's unique phrasing of Nofu... J&N were addicted to it for a while 😆 (sorry for those who don't understand).
I love Tochigi 🥰.

2022 MAJ taught us and we drank it for the first time in March "Zuppa umaimai" Two married couples twilight in delicious sake!
2023 "Uu~u~a~umai 😊" in August when I was about to give up on it
2024 Bought it in May, aiming for "mmmmmmayyyy😊".
This year, I'm excited and ready to try the Riedel glass....

The aroma is sweet and fruity 😚.
What's that? But was it like this 🍊Bayarese orange ❓It seemed to have a bit more bitterness 🤔.
I've heard that if you drink it in a glass like this, you can smell the aroma more strongly and it tastes sweeter 🧐 so I tried to compare it with my usual sake glass 🤗.
I felt that the gugumebi tasted more bitter and sour afterwards, making it more flavorful and tasty 🤗☺️
I think the wide-mouth glass is better for those who want more orange 🍊 and sweetness 😅J&N's subjective opinion 😅

As I mentioned in my last post, we got the two bottles we wanted at Mashidaya Brewery 😊When we were looking at the fridge to buy the rest of the series that we had never had before 😄, we found Oubai-san, who is not macho💪! We didn't hesitate to bring him along: ‼️
I opened the bottle with a 😁spring punch 🎶 while humming Kumiko Oba's Spring Samba 🤗.
The label says "refreshingly dry" but I'm not sure 😊.

The aroma is slightly fruity 😌.
The first sip is refreshing with a touch of fruitiness 😙Sweetness and acidity combine to make a refreshing drink 😋.
After the MLB⚾️ Dodgers game, we walked together again 💦I've been walking every day since the start of GW! Then we went shopping for dinner 🛒 and decided to grill mainly vegetables 🤗 We also added some seafood and meat that would be delicious grilled on a hot plate 😋 The refreshing Dai-bai went perfectly with it 👍.
Well, my son came home on Sunday night, and since it was a special occasion! Yesterday, the three of us went to an all-inclusive inn called TAOYA Nikko Kirifuri 🤗.
It was a short trip, about 40 minutes drive from our house 😆.

The brewer is Mitobe Shuzo of Yamagata Masamune.
The illustrated label featuring Mitsuo Yamagata dancing the Hanagata Ondo dance on top of a portable shrine is eye-catching.
The rice used is domestic rice.
Polishing ratio is 60
As a commemorative anniversary sake, it is brewed with sake instead of brewing water.
The alcohol content is 16%.
Opening note: Despite the ⚠️, you don't feel any gas pressure at all😅.
When poured into a cup, the sake is golden in color and thick.
The aroma upon opening the bottle is mildly fragrant, with a muscat-like pear aroma.
When you take a sip, it has a round mouthfeel.
It has a firm, rich umami flavor, with a hint of bitterness.
This bitterness accentuates the sweetness derived from the rice. The acidity is also present, making the sake crisp and not too sweet.
Personally, I think it is a sake that should be drunk slowly because it is rich, not too sweet, and has a hint of alcohol.
This is one that is more enjoyable when served hiya than when served chilled, as the sweetness is more pronounced.

I wanted Aizan and bought San San Aizan because I had drunk all the OHMINE 3 Grain Aizan.

When the bottle is opened, the aroma is pear-like.
How about the mouthfeel?
After a sip, it has a roundness, followed by a faint gaseous sensation...just in time 😅.
After the gasiness, a refreshing citrus acidity spreads in the mouth. The perfect balance of umami and sweetness combined with the acidity makes for an exquisite taste.

This is the first time for me to drink Nabeshima by Tomikuchiyo Shuzo, which I purchased from Mashidaya.
It was produced in February 2025.
It is a junmai ginjo, and the rice used is Tajima Gouriki, the grandfather of Yamadanishiki.
Rice polishing ratio is 55%.
The alcohol content is 15%.
I was told to be careful about opening the bottle, but maybe it was because it was well chilled or because I let it sit too long😅😅The bottle was opened without any problem.
The aroma is like grapes, green apples.......it's fresh.
When you take a sip, there is no gaseous sensation and the sake seems to be slightly thickened. The mouthfeel is light and smooth. It has a sweetness, but it is not harsh.
In the mouth, the umami of rice and gentle sweetness spreads quickly. The sweetness spreads in the mouth, and then a sharp bitterness finishes it off.
While the refreshing sweetness spreads in the mouth, the sharp bitterness accentuates the deliciousness of 🍶.
Tajima strong, quite delicious 😋.
If I could feel the gasiness, would I have been able to taste the deliciousness with a different palate? That is the only regret I have.
