It's been a while since the new year began, but this is tentatively ranked first in the list of the best wines I've had until today. The spiciness, umami, fullness, freshness, a little bit of a tangy taste felt in the upper jaw, and a sense of icy warm maturity... I felt the ultimate in balance. I felt the ultimate in balance. It's a top choice among Niigata sake breweries in my opinion, and it's called "Qn", which is written "kyun". The back of the label says it is a sweet, sour and fruity light type of sake... it is indeed sweet, sour and fruity... but... in a word, it is very thick. It's Furuboriyumu. It's delicious. I'm looking forward to seeing what they will serve at the sake festival!

I didn't buy it by the packet, but by the label... It's delicious, dry without being dry (some people may interpret it as umakuchi). It is one of the best dry sake. It's fresh and fruity because it's a nama-shu, but it's crisp. The depth or three-dimensionality of it is wonderful. It's delicious!

I was on a business trip, and this is the first time I drank Nilgame. This... is different from Ash in the complexity that strikes the senses... I'm glad to have had this one. I'd like to drink it slowly if possible... I got it at a restaurant in Hiroshima city, which is said to be the place where you can drink No.6. It's a nice place, so if you are in the area, please visit (search for "Hiroshima Sake Bar" and you'll find it).

Today was the ticket sales day for Niigata Sake-no-jin. And this ticket...it was a battle on the net (sweat...). Miraculously, I was able to get a seat on Sunday morning. Thank goodness, I will be able to attend the festival this year, too. Anyway, this is Mr. Makihata, the non-Takachiyo of Mr. Takachiyo. The first impression at the entrance is fresh, no bitterness, something clear. After that, the dry taste hits you. Is this a new form of "light and dry"? I thought, "This is good! If you are tired of the usual fresh fruity wine, I highly recommend this wine.

Shinshu Kamerei is always good, no matter what time of year you drink it. There was also a more expensive version at the local brewery. I wanted to try that one too, but I'm in the process of training to become a sake master, so I decided to try it some other time...and now this time...what can I say, it's natural and the balance is superb. I am sure that everyone will find it delicious. I hope everyone will enjoy it.

I bought it at a certain liquor store in Nagano prefecture (where I found Kame no Umi Semishigure last summer). I think this is my first time to drink it... Well, Nagano sake is of a very high level, not a single millimeter is off. The balance of sweetness and sourness is perfect.

It is a 2023 draft of Ouroboros, a noble brew of sake. I have had Ouroboros for a while at a sake party, but this is the first time to drink it carefully. It is voluptuous and delicious (and sweet, of course). I drank it slowly after opening the bottle because I didn't want to waste it, but I think the taste changed as the day went by. At first, the acidity and freshness are nice accents, and then the taste is rounded and bursting with umami. I can only imagine how it will mature if it is stored for a long time... ah!

Happy New Year! The second and last of the New Year's Eve and New Year's holidays drinks is "Hakurakusei". I think Hakurakusei has a good balance. I feel I have made a good start in my sake life this year.

The first drink of the New Year's holidays is Kidd's. I found it at a liquor store near my parents' house. I found it at a liquor store near my parents' house.
