Apparently this is the first Senbon Nishiki at Nozomu. With the rice situation getting worse, it might be a good idea to try different kinds of rice! The aroma is melon... maybe strawberry. Sweet and sour! Chocolatey sweetness in the second half. As the day goes on, the sweetness becomes more intense.

Okabe Brewery's annual summer event Drink and enjoy "Goyen-date" brewed with Miyamanishiki, which was grown by everyone! Slight aroma of green apple and pear Fresh sweetness that is typical of unblended sake. Well-balanced with astringency and acidity, perfect for drinking while eating! It goes well with a variety of dishes made with local ingredients, such as yakitori, dumplings, stewed fish, soba noodles, curry, and so on. Above all, the atmosphere in which everyone enjoys the same sake is a perfect marriage! It rained like a legendary festival at the end of the party, but it was a fun summer memory! We are grateful for the connections we made through sake!

Left. Today is the summer festival of Tsuki no I, the so-called "kurabiraki" (opening of the brewery). A wonderful event where the brewery opens its doors to the public and you can drink various kinds of sake along with local delicacies! Review of one bottle out of the many we drank The summer festival sake is said to be sake that has been purified at the Oarai Isozaki Shrine, but anything is fine as long as you can drink it! After a soft sweetness, it is full of flavor, just like Tsuki no I! It goes well with edamame (green soybeans), motsu (pork cutlet) stew, and curry. It is a summer sake with a lot of alcohol. Purchased at the warehouse when I visited Ueda City in May. The president of the brewery was probably the one who explained it to me in detail. Chose Yamae Nishiki from the Tomisui series with different rice, which was recommended to be ready to drink. Muscat aroma and Fresh acidity typical of nama-shu! It is best to drink it chilled! The astringency and herbaceousness in the aftertaste invites you to drink the next one. There are six breweries in Ueda City, but rather than a rivalry, they respect each other and each try to bring out their own individuality.... I remember you telling me something like that.

Visit the Sake Fair for the First Time One of the largest gathering of sake breweries in Japan I was so engrossed in drinking that this is the only decent picture of a sake bottle I was able to take, so here's my review. Shun no Uten from the Yamanashi Prefecture booth Gentle and mellow Not flashy, but gently cozy. I had it cold, but I'd like to drink it warmed. The brewer recommended heating it up. The other prefecture that impressed us was Ehime, which exhibited a sake made with the prefecture-developed Sakurahime yeast, Shibari, Kagawa Prefecture was also impressed with their Sanuki Olive Yeast, also developed by the prefecture, In Fukushima Prefecture, the legendary Mr. Suzuki served us drinks, In Miyagi Prefecture, I was able to meet Yuriyan from Koganezawa, whom I had longed to meet, Three hours of excitement! I had planned to visit booths all over the country, but I ran out of energy with only two prefectures left! I hope to be back next year and have more time to enjoy the event!
