Chitosekuru Junmai Sake Autumn Higuma
Rating 4.4
Rice used: Hokkaido "Ginpu", 60% polished rice, 15% alcohol by volume
Mildness from aging over the summer
A perfect balance of calm sweetness, mellowness, maturity, and soft acidity from the summer spent in the cool brewery. The closer it gets to room temperature, the more it expands in aroma and softens in the mouth.
Scoring ☆☆☆☆
Landed in Hokkaido for the first time in 2 years!
I came here with the same guessing activity ❣️ as 2 years ago 😁
This time, we took the car to Niseko Onsen (hot springs) ♨️
I'm a Subarist, so I'm thankful for that 🙏.
(The car I rented was a Yaris, and I was surprised, even after all this time, at how good the hybrid's fuel economy is((((; ))))
Or rather, I was reminded of Subaru's poor fuel economy🤣)
Niseko, as I heard, has been completely invaded by foreign countries (China), and there are signs everywhere in English (lol).
I felt as if I was in a foreign country 🤣.
While there are many fashionable buildings, we stayed one night at a classic hot spring hotel.
Why?
Because it is a must for our family? Because it had an outdoor hot spring bath with room (this one has a window 💦) and it was off-season, so we were able to stay there for a very reasonable price👍.
Mt. Yotei can be seen beautifully from the outdoor bath😍.
Oh, the Mt. Yotei in the picture was taken from a different location lol.
At the dinner buffet, we ordered some lukewarm sake: ❣️
Chitose Tsuru 🍶.
Yeah, I'll spare you the taste 🤣🤣🤣
I'm going to soak in the hot spring slowly and do my best in my guessing game the next day ۶‼️
Good evening T.KISO🌆I'm jealous of your trip! I'm too busy to do that 🤣.
As a Subaruist, I would say that driving is more important than fuel economy ❗️Fuel economy is about the 10th most important criterion when buying a car🤣❗️
Good evening, T.KISO!
I love your trip to Hokkaido 🚗.
Mt. Yotei is beautiful too ⛰️
I remember how beautiful Mt. Yotei was when I went skiing in Niseko when I was younger: ⤴️
I hope you enjoy the open-air baths and the local sake 🤗.
Good evening, T.KISO. 🤒
I wish I had borrowed GR Yaris.
I wish I could have borrowed GR Yaris.... (I wish I could have borrowed GR Yaris 🤭🤭I can understand the difference of low center of gravity and stability when I drive other cars.
I can understand the difference of low center of gravity and stability.
I wish I could have rented a GR Yaris. 😍😍
Good evening, T.KISO 😃.
Ehhhh! Hokkaido🥹I love it!
I've heard that Niseko is the most foreign country 🥲 and the prices seem to be ridiculously high 😥.
I'm glad you were able to get a cheap place to stay in the middle of all that.
Good evening, Hanapin-san😄.
The car was only designated as a convertible 💦.
You can really feel how easy the Levorg is to drive when you drive another car 🎶.
Good evening, Jay & Nobby😄.
It really was a foreign country 💦.
But the only hot spring hotel was Japanese-only and cheap ♨️ because of the off-season 😆👍.
For the record

The spring stopper is fresh.
The blue color of the bottle is beautiful.
Fruity and sweet with a light taste.
Sweet and light taste
Matures from spring to autumn
It is said to become mellower as it matures from spring to fall.
The sunrise was beautiful!
I hadn't drank the Summer Higuma yet, even though the Autumn Higuma was about to be released! So I had the one that had been sitting in the fridge.
It is a light summer sake with a restrained sweetness. An ideal food sake. It is perfect for a hot day when it is well chilled. It's quite a tasty summer hikuma. I've ordered the Autumn Higuma and am looking forward to it ✨.
Two bottles of #Chitotsuru received from my senpai in Hokkaido.
Tonight we had a bottle of Junmai Namaisake (pure rice sake).
It is soft on the palate with sweetness and acidity like freshly picked fruit. It goes well with grilled chicken and potato salad.
I like this kind of sake that allows you to feel various nuances in the mouth.
I received two bottles of sake called Chitotsuru from my senpai in Hokkaido. Tonight we had junmai ginjo kuradashi nama, a rare sake only available at the Blue Bottle brewery.
The mouthfeel is very mild and soft. The taste is very mild and soft on the palate, yet the flavor is very robust. When it is very hot, you can drink it on the rocks with ice on top.
