It tastes like cooked rice. That may be the characteristic of Hiroki. My memory is hazy. Sake Fair 7/6 Sat. Ikebukuro Sunshine Cultural Hall. Each prefecture had its own booth where sake tasting was available. I wanted to visit the prefectures that I had been to for sake brewery tours, and I wanted to visit the prefectures that had their own special characteristics. I realized that there are still many sake that I don't know about, and that I have a preference to settle for Nagano sake in the end. My memory of the second half of the tour is a bit fuzzy. It was fun. But this is the only decent picture I have. I should note that there was a cosplay event on the lower floor, and the area around the entrance to the venue was a pleasant mix of people in fancy dress and drunks. Photo 4 shows the sake-tasting event held a few years ago. I did not attend this year's event.

Good morning, old man😃. I see you went to the sake fair! Seems like quite a lot of sake 🍶 lined up 😊It must be hard to keep your memory 😅 but it must be fun!

Dear Jay & Nobby Our past visits to the venue where you can sample all the award-winning sake (for an extra fee) have been spectacular. If you have never been, I recommend it. You will learn that all sake breweries taste similar when they are trying to win an award.

Otokoyama, Ototo-koyama, the fragrance of dreams (scent of dreams) When well chilled, it has a chemical-like alcohol smell. Manly dry taste. Numbness on the lips. But as it cools down, the aroma of rice, umami and softness. Yumeme. No, this is umeme. Nice dry taste. Purchased at a sake brewery. A magnificent house in Minamiaizu. Beautiful flowers on the eaves. In addition to regular sake, they also sell a "super tasty" daiginjo called Kuboi.

How about ...? Aroma of rice. A little strong, 17 degrees. When it is cooled down well, it tastes good after drinking. I like the sweetness that comes out when it gets close to room temperature. Purchased at a sake brewery. The area is called Uramachi, east side of Matsumoto Castle. The name may sound strange, but it is a very safe town. There is a big aeon nearby, across the Otoba River. When you enter the store, you will be seated and offered a tasting by a chatty proprietress. In front of the brewery, there is a spring named "Onna-Toba-no-Spring" where you can freely draw water. Of course, sake is made with this water. In Matsumoto city center, there are water springs all over the place and you can drink as much as you want. The spring in Onna-Toba is one of them. It is really appreciated during the hot season. Especially in the vicinity of Matsumoto Castle, there are many springs in front of the station and on Nakamachi-dori Street, so tourists should definitely try them. My personal favorite is Tai Man's Well.

envelope containing betrothal money and given as part of a betrothal gift Grape-like aroma. Sweet. Soft, refreshing and light. Gentle sourness after a few minutes of salivation. Taste like sucking grape skin. It is an interesting taste that has no similarity to other wines. Purchased at a sake brewery. It is a limited edition directly pumped sake. The label is just a rubber band. It is located in a great place, a little far from Koriyama. Amazing rice fields and forests. We were lucky there were no oncoming cars.

lessening Young grassy aroma. Slight effervescence, about the size of a carefree soda. Sourness accompanied by Sweetness. Bitterness. Something delicious. The historical Kaei warehouse is located in the town of Aizuwakamatsu, and there is a doctoral brewery that started operation in the Heisei period about 10 km away. Genzai is a series of high-end sake produced in small quantities at the Kaei warehouse. But the brewery is making it at the Docter Kura, or something. I'm not sure. Does that mean only special junmai? We went to the Suehiro Shuzo Kaei warehouse. It is wonderful because it is a gold medal winner in the sake competition while functioning as a tourist attraction where tours of the brewery are given every hour.

Festival of the Seven Herbs of Health (7th of January) The delicious taste of rice. Dry. Mellow and numbing. Taste is strong and drinkable. Delicious. When I went to a sake event in Aizu the other day, I had a nice chat with the owner, who was very low key (some would say drunken). The sake was delicious, so the next day we went to the sake brewery. We had a chat with the owner, who was so low that he was not even talking about this, and talked about yesterday. He gave me a little money when I bought the sake. I am really glad I went there. The brewery is located in a nice shopping district at the foot of Mt. The brand name comes from the "common" sake named after the first generation, which is very important. Oh no.

reed bed Sweet and alcohol-derived spiciness. Green apple-like aroma. Umami. Delicious. But 20 degrees is strong. Purchased at Kineya Sake Shop in Kitakata. This sake seems to be popular among the locals, and Kineya buys it when it is pressed at the beginning of the year and sells it all year round. Because of its high alcohol content, it is recommended to drink it chilled or, if it is strong, on the rocks. It is not sold directly from the brewery. The high point is that next to the brewery is a Kitakata ramen shop (). Perhaps it was because this was the first sake I drank at an event the day before, but I enjoyed it very much. It seems to be mostly for the local market. It was a good harvest.

(after the -masu stem of a verb) to do ... to each other Gorgeous aroma, slight adhesive scent. Slight sweetness. Flows refreshingly. Very slightly carbonated, slight bitterness. This is delicious. Purchased at the Gonoi Sake Shop in Aizu Sakashita. The brewer is Akebono Shuzo, located along the same road. According to the brewery's manager (a very smart lady) at the event the day before, the brewery does not usually offer tours or direct sales, but once a year they open the brewery for tours, limited to 80 people. A narrow gate! Whatever, Aizu Sakashita sounds strong.

third month of the lunar calendar Gorgeous, slightly melon aroma. Soft and spreading in the mouth. Tightens with numbness on the tongue, leaving a slight bitterness. High degree of perfection. The kind that everyone can enjoy. No flaws. The rest is a matter of taste. Purchased at a sake brewery. Limited edition sake brewery. A very fine mansion in downtown Aizuwakamatsu. It is a designated historical landscape building of the city. A nice flow line from the spacious parking lot to the store through the beautiful courtyard. On Saturday, June 8, I went on the Aizu Sake Bullet Tour. Aizu sake breweries were waiting for us at a restaurant in front of the station, and we exchanged tickets for a drink and walked around drinking one after another in this wonderful event. The one I drank there was a fresh, cloudy one that was served only at the event. I heard that this is something similar to it, so I bought it later.

Nana-man (woman) At first impression, it had a peachy aroma. Soft and refreshing but not too spicy, with a slight numbness that makes you want to put it in your mouth again. Liked. Or rather, I guess for the reasons mentioned below. It is a summer sake sold in July, so it is called Nanaroman. But in recent years, it has been hot from June, so it is sold in June. It is like a fashion magazine. I bought it at a convenience store in Minamiaizu (Hanazono Sake Brewery has a tremendous selection). At the sake brewery, I bought a T-shirt. Until now, I had an image of Loman and Hanaizumi as flashy sake sold in urban areas. However, after visiting the brewery and talking with the brewer, I got the impression that they are making honest sake rooted in the local community in the deep mountains of Minamiaizu. I deeply regret my prejudice. The brewery does not sell sake, but they do sell goods. I was given a sticker with the same glittering material as the label as a free gift (Photo 4). If you want one, go to Minamiaizu.

Pear-like aroma. Soft, light and dry. Sourness and umami. Bitterness at the end. Delicious when well chilled. Purchased at the brewery opening on May 11. A limited edition commemorating the 160th anniversary of the Ono Sake Brewery. It may still be sold at some distributors. The rice is Yamadanishiki produced locally in Tatsuno. The water is from the underground water of Mt. The eye-catching picture on the label was drawn by Atsushi Hagiri, a manga artist from Kita Ono (currently serialized in Shonen Sunday), in the image of a toji (master brewer)! The "Z" represents the desire to reach out to the Z generation. What a surprise.

Kishimatsu Yamagishi Sake Brewery Co. The aroma of rice is strong. It also has a woody aroma. Soft mouthfeel with a slightly sweet aftertaste. It is unexpectedly quite tasty. One of the three most mysterious sake breweries in Nagano Prefecture (in my opinion). In front of Ina Matsushima station. You can buy it from a vending machine in front of the store. It is highly mysterious to me, but it is listed on the website of the Nagano Sake Brewers Association, so I may just not have done enough research on it. I will be diligent.

formal haut Abe Sake Brewery's challenging positioning of the ★ (Star) series. First magnitude star in the constellation of Pisces in the southern hemisphere. fom-al-haut. "Al" means something like the in Arabic, and is often used in star names (trivia). Oriented sedimentation. Sweet. Calpis soda. Bitter taste remains. Precious sake. I like it. I transferred it to a PET bottle and opened it from Monday to Friday, but the gas is much stronger. I got this sake in line at the Niigata Sake-no-jin (Sake Festival). It is best to drink this kind of sake early. Closed with a crown, this type has a strong effervescence. This kind of sake is best to drink early! It has a fruity aroma, a soft mouthfeel, and a discreet umami flavor. The taste is light and dry, typical of Shizuoka sake, plus a touch of sweetness. We talked to the point that our itinerary got a bit crazy. It was fun, so we left it at that. However, Omuraya's selection of sake was amazing. They have three kinds of new Oni Otome sake, not to mention Onna Nai Kase. There used to be a corner bar, but it is closed now. Too bad. But I was allowed to take a look inside. Ono Sake Brewery's 160th Anniversary Storehouse Opening: Dawn Festival in the village of Takonome on May 11 and 12. DJ played music and local restaurants opened stalls. The weather was beautiful and the crowd was quite large. Local junior high school students are helping out and their guilt is hidden. The tasting tickets (10 tickets for 1500 yen) are very economical, and they pour the wine into the glass. The extra 600 yen for this daiginjo is well worth it. It is so cheap. We also had a tour of the brewery and were told about the extraordinary attention to detail. After all, pre-dawn tastes good.
