Fukuhara Sake Shop hanpukai Sweet grape aroma, clean aftertaste with no cloying taste. The best part of the hanpukai. I was able to learn about delicious sake from a brand I knew nothing about. I enjoyed it with mackerel stewed in grated radish and chicken stewed in a sour tomato nut sauce.

Purchased at Seicomart in Otaru This sake has a mild aroma, mild umami and a little bit of cemedine. It has a strong umami flavor. I enjoyed it with roast beef from Ichibo. It goes well with lean meat. Sake is also delicious in Hokkaido.

It is the kind of sake that makes you go on to the next cup. We enjoyed it with edamame (green soybeans), miso soup, half fried chicken from Narutoya, and zangi.

We enjoyed it with deep-fried tofu, miso soup, fried squid, and spicy lotus root. I appreciate the limited edition sake from the hanpukai because it is fun to find delicious sake.

Mr. Yamada, a sake dealer in Seibu-Ikebukuro I was able to capture Kuwagata. I felt it was more umami and gassy dry than sweet. We enjoyed it while watching the Itabashi Fireworks Festival and eating grilled edamame, kushikatsu, gyoza, yakisoba, and beef stew. You can drink it in the hot summer.

We enjoyed it with stir-fried leek tofu with dried bonito flakes, grilled mackerel with sesame seeds, and clear soup. It is a beautiful sake with a great lack of miscellaneous flavors.

Purchased after hearing it was back in stock after last year. It has a melon-like aroma and a sweet-tart flavor, The astringent taste comes soon, so you want to drink the next one. I don't know the detailed specs, but it's very good. You don't feel the 16% alcohol content, so be careful not to drink too much. We enjoyed it with steamed chicken with chives sauce, bacon soup, and grilled edamame.

Wakamatsuya Purchased as a set with Junmai (special junmai notation). The taste is the same as the special honjozo. It is light, dry, and easy to drink. We enjoyed it with grilled eel on the day of the ox in Doyou. The special junmai is a junmai with a different bottle color. This one had more flavor and was more drinkable. It feels a little heavier than the special honjozo.
