Hakurei was sold in the bargain section at the supermarket. I bought it by accident. It tasted clean and dry. It was a good purchase.

At the Hakurei Sake Brewery booth, we were allowed to compare the Vivid series. This is the best part of the tasting event😋. Blue, green, and red, all delicious and interesting. I had a short chat with the brewery owner as well, as I had visited there before. Personally, I prefer the sweet red.

I had wanted to drink it for a long time, but the timing was never quite right... The manager said it was his favorite drink in the restaurant! It is a pale yellow color with silver tints and a hint of green. It has a spicy top note with a hint of alcohol, but the aroma is very refreshing, perhaps because of the acidity. When you drink it, the slightly carbonated texture on the tongue is pleasant. There is not much noticeable aroma, but the acidity gives it a refreshing mouthfeel. It may not have much sweetness to begin with, but the acidity helps to make it dry. Despite its dryness, it has a strong flavor, which is probably due to the strong umami that can be tasted from start to finish. Dry sake is usually considered "spicy," but perhaps because of the strong umami, it does not feel too spicy. Interestingly, it is a sake that does not have much bitterness, which may be why it is so light and easy to drink despite its 17% alcohol content. This is seriously very, very good! I wouldn't say it's for everyone, but I think it's a must-try for sake drinkers who like umami!

Rice used is Yamadanishiki After opening the bottle, I wondered if it would have been better if I had let it sit longer. I regret it after opening the bottle. Long time no post! Took me a while to drink 2 squares 🤣. I bought it at my usual Marunaka Ohashi Shoten. I let it sleep in the refrigerator. The price was 1,396 yen (720ml) I'll be back soon! I love the fruity scent💕. I'm not sure what to make of it, but I'm sure it's worth it. It's a good sake that's easy to drink, but you can still taste the sweetness and flavor of the rice. It's a dangerous sake for someone like me who is weak in alcohol. Today's pairing is Daikon and Chicken Teriyaki. It's good as a single item, but it's also recommended as a sake for a meal. Hiyaoroshi is the best👍.

Tonight, I'm posting my second bottle, this one I've been letting go for about 2 years to contrast with the first (Miyazumi Junmai Nigori Nama) 🍶. Actually, I bought it at the same time as the previous Junmai, but when I drank the Junmai, I took it for granted that this was a sake that should be aged for a long time 😪💤 and it has been in the bottle for a long time until now 😌. The aroma is grain-like, or Western liquor-like, or mature aroma, and the smell alone is enough to make you feel drunk. 😵‍💫 I think it's better to drink it at room temperature or warmed than chilled because the initial smell will disappear. Maybe I'll give it a try after tomorrow. It's good to enjoy long-aged sake sometimes. ☺️
