This was the first time I drank Abe-kan at home. The one I drank in the past was a special sake with a special kijoshu spec, so I don't think it was any different from the first time I drank it. It is dry with a strong gassy and acidic taste. It is not that sweet, but it is easy to drink because of the sourness. I don't think I've ever seen Abe-kan sold anywhere but Edion Namba.

A gift of Tokyo's local sake. The aroma is old-fashioned, with a hint of cemedine...the mouthfeel is full of the flavor of rice. As the label on the back of the bottle says, it is a new sake, so it is fresh, but it has a rough taste, maybe a little dry. I wonder if it is good as a mealtime sake... I'm sipping it with albacore tempura and fish yukke as a side dish.

First Eagle of Koshi. Dry, clear and light. A little sweetness and acidity. The last taste is a bit bitter and lactic acidity. The impression is that it is a food sake type. Souvenirs from my husband's business trip to Fukui I have been enjoying it slowly since the weekend. I guess it is the type of drink I don't usually drink. I felt it was dry. I think I like it better at room temperature because I can feel the flavor☺️. Souvenirs are fun to experience sake that I wouldn't have chosen myself 😊. I had it on a trip to Sanriku. It has a nice, calm taste, and it just keeps going and going. We visited a sake brewery just before the trip and were allowed to taste various kinds of sake, which was a nice experience!

The second day in Miyako, Kamaishi, and Kesennuma🎵 was spent in Kesennuma, the first visit to this area in 38 years. During the day, I was impressed by the ruins of Kesennuma Marine High School, a relic of the Great East Japan Earthquake, and at night, I was thankful to be alive thanks to the seafood of Sanriku. On the second day of our fulfilling Miyagi trip, we had a special menu at the hotel: Otokoyama bonito sake. Normally, I would not buy this kind of snack, but the woman I was with from Ichinoseki recommended it as a great dish. Even if it's not bonito, it washes away the umami and goes well with oily sashimi. It is also good when served cold, as the acidity is more pronounced than with cold sake. Ebisu is also a good omen as it is a sake from the sea. It is a pity that Mizutori-ki Hiyadoroshi was sold out.

At home. This is the second one in the Hokkaido series. Kokushi Muso is a metaphor for being so good that no two people under the sun are alike. The aroma and sweetness are mild, and the umami of the rice can be felt well, giving it a mildly juicy impression. It goes well with meals and is of course delicious on its own. It went well with crispy grilled chicken (salted and teriyaki flavors), turnip and chicken in cream sauce.

This Sake is slightly dry with an earthy aroma. There are flavors of mushroom and wood. Sweetness and acidity are present towards the end. The flavor profile is different from other Niigata Sake I have tried. Guess I need to drink more Sake. 😁
