Softer the second day, but a big flavorful drink with a bit too much cotton candy sweetness for me. Has an intense bitterness on the finish as well. Not my favorite.
When I went sightseeing in the old town in Hida Takayama, I stopped by a store that was not a sake brewery but a direct sales store where I could sample sake for a fee.
It is located right in the middle of the tourist area.
This is the Oda Sake Brewery, the originator of Onikoroshi.
Older Sake Brewery Kamiminomachi Branch
You put a coin from the server and drink it.
A coin is 300 yen for 36 ml.
Hida Boast Onikoroshi Junmai Namaishu
It is fresh but dry with a strong alcohol taste.
Junmai Ginjo Hida Takayama
I selected this sake by looking at the sake level, and found that it was the same as the one I drank at the Japanese Sake Festival. It had more flavor than the previous sake and was a true sake.
There was a signature of Wakako Sake with "Pshu". 🖊️
Good evening, Nemuchi-san 😃.
When I hear the word "Onikoroshi" I always think of Nihonmori or Kiyosuzakura's sake sold in paper cartons, but this is the original Onikoroshi👹 from the brewery where "Onikoroshi" originated😳.
I learned a lot by looking it up 😊.
Aladdin, good evening 🌛This is the original Onikoroshi 👹I was able to drink it all up without incident 😁Although it was not my favorite type... 😅It seems that even the venerable brewery where it originated became part of the traditional brewery group as time went on 😓.
Overall 5 (out of 10)
I bought it from Older Brewery😃.
I can feel the alcohol taste along with the spiciness, probably due to the high alcohol content.
The alcohol taste goes away and the spiciness and astringency remain.
It has a classic image.
I enjoyed it chilled.
I was impressed by the aroma of the wine.
-Aroma: Aroma of alcohol and some ginjo aroma
-Aroma: Astringency and spiciness on the nose.

Dry Daiginjo. I was surprised that it was drier than I expected. As expected, the taste lived up to its name. At first I thought it might not be my favorite, but as I got used to it, it became more and more delicious. It goes well with seafood.
The purpose of our visit to Hida Takayama was to tour a sake brewery🎵.
One of the things we were looking forward to was to taste "Hidahomare," a sake brewing rice produced in Gifu Prefecture.
We compared many different types of sake at the brewery, but "Onikoroshi" was dry with a bitter taste unique to Hidahomare, so we bought it immediately!
It was heavy and spicy, and according to the store owner, many sake drinkers like to buy it.
As the label says, it is a heavy and heavy sake. It is also great with fried food and other spicy snacks 👌.
Sake alcohol 18-19%, Sake degree 10, Acidity 1.9,
Amino acidity 1.9

Gifu Prefecture, Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture, Japan - Oota Shuzo Brewery - Genso Onikoroshi Junmai Sake
This is a junmai sake from an old town sake brewery in Takayama City. Hida's sake is a dry, royal roadside sake with a robust, drinkable taste.
It does not have a particularly gorgeous aroma, but it is a sake that can be drunk well.
