There are only two sake rice study groups left. I've been posting them chippy-chippy, so my notes and my memory are no longer connected. But there is no doubt that they were delicious. The ninth bottle was Kami no Ho from Mie Prefecture. The first bottle was a Saku no Kami no Hoho, which got me hooked on sake rice, but it tasted completely different. The aroma is banana, I guess. It has a slightly sweet taste with a refreshing dryness from the microbubbles. It goes on and on... a never-ending type of sake. The next post should be the last in this study of sake rice.

Special Junmai Nigori Nama-zake🍶Kami-no-ho🌾 from Mie Prefecture. Seme smell, fresh✨, a little schwag. Sour and spicy. Mustardy 🙄 according to my wife. When paired with the koji-marinated squid (🦑), it takes the edge off and cozies up to you. The power of koji is amazing 😆. Looks like a new brand to be born in spring 2023. After the Daiginjo, we had this sake 🍶♪ It is a slightly dry sake, so it is light and refreshing, but you can also taste the sweetness of the rice. I thought it was a perfect match for the oily soup of the motsu nabe and the champon noodles we had as a finale.

On the last day of the consecutive holidays, I felt like Fukuoka all at once from Akita! We enjoyed Fukuoka sake with motsu nabe and mentaiko (cod roe) as a side dish. The sake was well chilled and refreshing, with a crisp and refreshing taste.

にごり祭りを中断してこちら。オカンおすすめと聞いたので、おせち準備を手伝いながらチビチビ、昭和な感じ。冷では控えめ、スッキリ系で王道辛口酒なのですが、温めると花が開いたように香る。セメダイン香？飲み口も柔らかく旨い、これが燗酒だって感じ。美味しい。

#Hamamatsu# Nagura Sake Shop On the second day back to my parents' house, I first visited Kakegawa's 🍶. We went to a local liquor store and bought a bottle of spring limited edition sake. First time drinking this brand, we had it with my family 😁. I was told that it's good to drink it cold, so I made it very cold ❄️❄️ When I opened the bottle, the aroma was not so strong, probably because it was chilled... When I put it in my mouth, I could feel the coldness and the richness of the flavor. And a good amount of spiciness... It's delicious, I can drink it easily 😆😆😆.

The one I went to a liquor store I don't usually go to after a baseball game and drank after I got home. It tastes like Aizan, but is closer to a classic. It is spicy with a little sweetness. It tastes hotter than when I tasted it. It is spicy even if the temperature is changed. I think it is hard to drink by itself. Purchased at Yamasho in JR Ashiya station. I mentioned before that this liquor store is based in northern Kyoto and has a wide selection of sake from the Tango area, but they also have Kumi no Ura. It is rather sweet. Muscat and lychee-like flavor. It is fire-brewed but fresh. I'd like to try some of their fresh sake. I'm sure it would be delicious. According to the internet, it's unfiltered raw sake. It's true that it's on the lees for a fire-brewed sake. Sediment is noticeable.

A new brand of Kawatake Brewery! Amayadori, written in Japanese as "Amawari"! Sweet like pineapple🍍. It has a juicy and pleasant taste because it's a raw sake with some garnish, The bitterness that comes slowly in the second half is irresistible👍. Mie sake is very tasty.
