It is that time of year again! This year's Mr. Summer Time was a grand presentation event, inviting circus members to the Kanmei Sake Brewery for a mini-concert of sorts. I couldn't go, though. The aroma of this year's product is a little subdued. I like that mewashi aroma, though. The mouthfeel is strong and dark, and the harmony of umami and sweetness is wonderful! It is a departure from the low-alcohol, light summer sake style, and is more like a munchy, dirty summer night. Despite the strong flavor, the sharpness of the sake is very refreshing, so it is easy to drink. Of all the summer liquors, this one is my favorite. Thank you very much for your kindness!

First brand name Kita no Hana. It is a backroom deal with a sake teacher. Even if I say it is a backroom deal, he will sell me any rare sake at the same price I bought it from the liquor store, and even if I tell him I will take care of the transportation costs, he stubbornly refuses to accept it. I told them that if I sold them at a higher price, the liquor store would take me on as a reseller, and after that, they would never sell me rare sake. The fact that you can normally drink Jyushiyo at home is based on the mutual trust between the seller and the buyer. Kita no Hana, the label is very attractive. I don't detect much of the Kamitatekoso, but there is a round, unfamiliar aroma in the back of the bottle. The mouthfeel is moist, calm, and elegant with sweetness and soft umami, and the rounded aroma in the aftertaste is fruity. The acidity and bitterness are both moderate, and it has a mysterious sharpness that just flutters and closes. It is really a round, gentle and mysterious sake, and this must be one of its balances. On Sunday, I visited the Taste of Morita Co. This is the family brewery of Akio Morita, the founder of Sony. I was attracted by the Aji no Yakata limited edition and bought a bottle. It tasted a little sweeter than I expected and was easier to drink than I expected. 1,650 yen

There are only two sake rice study groups left. I've been posting them chippy-chippy, so my notes and my memory are no longer connected. But there is no doubt that they were delicious. The ninth bottle was Kami no Ho from Mie Prefecture. The first bottle was a Saku no Kami no Hoho, which got me hooked on sake rice, but it tasted completely different. The aroma is banana, I guess. It has a slightly sweet taste with a refreshing dryness from the microbubbles. It goes on and on... a never-ending type of sake. The next post should be the last in this study of sake rice.

This is my first Suehiro❗️ When I went on my trip to Aizu, there were signs everywhere Sake by Suehiro Sake Brewery😊. The aroma is subdued! The taste is more refreshing than I expected. It is a very easy to drink sake with a nice umami flavor👍. It was a well balanced sake that would go well with a variety of meals. It was a delicious sake!
