Stepping Up to Shochu
Mild alcoholic aroma. A slightly mellow mouthfeel, followed by a mild sweetness and a tangy pungency. A cool hint of aroma rises, and then the spiciness is felt and it is quickly snapped off.
The quality of the sweetness, spiciness, and alcohol make this sake reminiscent of shochu.

I bought this at Kumamoto station on a recent trip to Kyushu. I asked the shopkeeper for a recommendation and he recommended this one. 🍶.
This is my first time to try Kumamoto sake 😊.
It is light on the palate, well balanced and easy to drink 🍶😊.
This sake is only sold in the prefecture, so I guess I was lucky to come across it? I only had a taste of it today, so next time I will enjoy it while savoring it 😅🍶.
This sake was recommended to me at a liquor store in Kumamoto.
It is refreshing, and in a good way, it seems to have eliminated the glamour of today's sake. You can drink it without hesitation.
