I saw "Tsuki Yoshino" for the first time. After much agonizing and worrying among the several available, I chose my favorite Miyamanishiki.
It is not sweet or heavy, but has a gentle balance that makes you feel as if you have taken a step back. It is tender or modest, and goes well with ryokan cuisine in Bessho Onsen, where there is no sea. ❗️
Tonight I paired it with a home Chinese dish published by a Japanese expatriate who has recently become a favorite of mine. It also goes well with lightly prepared dishes centered on saltiness and rape seed oil. ‼️
Sakaeya had several varieties lined up, but ah, I'd love to compare each sake rice. I'll have to check it out next time I'm in Nagano. Thank you for the food 😋.

Shinshu Spring Color SAKE Festival.
The sunlight ☀️ was so strong that I looked for a shady spot, but everywhere was occupied and not available. We weren't prepared for the heat, so the sunlight 🌞 hit us directly 😱.
I decided to drink before I fell down and next stop was Tsukiyoshino. First time here too.
Sake rice is Hitogokochi.
The color is slightly amber.
It has a sweet taste like an apple in the mouth. It is sweet and sour with a little acidity. The sourness is quite restrained.
It is similar to Suiryu, a sake we have had so far.
The sourness extends to the aftertaste, and it has a nice clean finish.
Refreshing and easy to drink 🍶.
It would be more refreshing without direct sunlight 🤣.

Apple aroma. Quite sour when rolled around in the mouth. The soft and refreshing taste is typical of Tsukiyoshino. It enhances meals.

The first sip was a slightly sweet white wine in aroma and mouthfeel.
There is no cloying taste, and the sweetness remains with a clean aftertaste.
It has just the right amount of bitterness and astringency, making it an interesting sake with a unique balance.
When I asked the owner of a maniac liquor store for an interesting sake, he recommended this one.
It was a sake I could drink with a grin on my face.
I decided to buy some sake from Ueda and bought a packet for the first time in a long time. The red label is nice.
The color is slightly yellow, almost no sweetness, and deliciously dry. If it were available at a sushi restaurant, I would choose it.
