I thought about ranking them after drinking them throughout the year, but decided against it.
It is true that there is a distinct difference in taste. And that, I think, is the true appeal of sake made with the help of living creatures.

I drank the same brand for 12 consecutive months. Other than the difference in the print on the label, there is no visible difference in taste every month, even though it is the same brand. I am looking forward to seeing which sake I can drink when, though my physical condition may have something to do with it.
However, there are some sake breweries that always make the same kind of sake, and that's great.
Kikusen from Aoshima Shuzo, which is within walking distance, is so delicious, or rather, it suits my palate. Thank goodness.
Anyway, I'll drink the December one again and announce the best three!
I don't think anyone is asking for it, but stay tuned!
When I enthusiastically told an acquaintance that I wanted to conquer sake from all over Japan at Sake-no-Wawa, he told me that he had a classmate who had a friend who had taken over a sake brewery and gave me a bottle of Kikusen.
Thanks to him, it was my first time in Shizuoka Prefecture🤣.
The taste is refreshing and easy to drink. It is light with a touch of sweetness, and I am sure it is easy to drink for first-timers as well.
It's really easy to drink. 〰︎
I loved it 😋.
The driest I've ever had.
The driest I've ever tasted.
Not much sweetness or fruitiness.
Is it because of my condition?
I'm going to pair it with grilled saury today.
So dry is better!
Thank you again for September!
This is my first visit to Kikusen.
This is a sake from Fujieda City, Shizuoka Prefecture🍶.
This is a sake from Fujieda, Shizuoka Prefecture.
The first aroma is slightly sweet.
In the mouth, it has a mildly smooth sweet umami flavor with a slight acidity.
It is more robust than Isojumma from the neighboring city of Yaizu, but it too is a mellow sake.
It was delicious 🍶✨.
Good evening, Mr. Matsuchiyo 🌙
I found this sake at a liquor store the other day and was curious about how mild it looks 🍶.
Sounds like a nice way to relax and enjoy a long autumn night ✨.
I'll try it next time I see it 😋.
Aroma
Aroma from the moment the bottle is opened
Light on the palate
Very soft, with a moderate sweetness.
The aftertaste is short and refreshing.
I don't usually drink it on the rocks.
But this time it's good on the rocks.
August
The last sake was from Shizuoka, "Kikusen" Junmai Ginjyo Matsushita Rice.
We have not had much luck with Shizuoka sake, so we were grateful that President Murai of Kibune chose it for us.
I was too drunk to taste it properly, but it had a strong attack.
I paired it with fried food, and it was just right.
I don't choose this kind of brand myself, so I was able to taste many things at this drinking party with my business partner and received high praise. 👍
alcohol other than sake, shochu, mirin, beer, etc. (alcohol tax category)
Dry and smooth. Light and a little sweet. The aftertaste is dry. Classic dry acidity. Not so much umami. It goes down smoothly. 85 points
