When I went to Kobe Kita Aeon today, Daimon Shuzo was there. I heard that it was brewed with Gohyakumangoku (five hundred million stone), so I decided to try it. This is my second sake from Osaka. My favorite robust dry sake. It is delicious.

This Sake is a nice change from what I have been drinking recently. It has a sugary sweetness similar to a ripe muscat. There is a Medium mouth feel followed by a slight dryness at the finish for a clean aftertaste. Delicious. 😋

I thought it might be limited to direct sales, but I was able to buy it at a liquor store. If you go down the shopping street near Okamachi Station, you will find an old shopping center with a supermarket in it. This is a community-based liquor store that is housed in it. They carry a wide variety of sake brands such as Yukitsuru, Asakayousei, Katanozakura, Kaygetsu, Sakura Masamune, Ootsuru, Shiraoi, Haginoduro, Shikizakura, and others. They seemed to be putting a lot of effort into craft beer and wine. The rice is Gohyakumangoku and Koshibuki. The rice is lightly cloudy to the point of being orikara. Basically, it is spicy, but the entrance is clean, and it tastes good with a firm umami and acidity in the latter half.

Purchased at Takatsuki Hankyu. To be honest, they have a smaller selection of alcoholic beverages than Umeda Hankyu, but I think their lineup is more tasteful than Umeda. Umeda relies more on on-site sales. You can also buy Kuninonaga and Kiyotsuru at Takatsuki Hankyu. Grape and banana-like atmosphere. Not too sweet and spicy, but clear and beautiful. I wrote "clear," but considering it as a dry wine, I wonder if it is a mellow dry type. I said it was spicy, but there is a moderate amount of sweetness. La Chante the other day. I first learned about the sparkling LaChante when I visited Akita. Poured into a champagne glass, the beautiful appearance of bubbles rising from the glass is champagne itself 🥂. It is brewed with 100% Akita-Komachi and water from the Ou Mountains. It tastes like sweet champagne 🍾. But I personally didn't like the aroma. It smells a bit like glue for a moment after you take a sip from the top of the bottle. It's so perfect that it's hard to believe it's made from rice, but compared to real champagne (not that it needs to be compared), it's less subtle and has a strong rice carbohydrate feel (which is a good thing).

Spring Tokaido Sake Brewery Tour (2) Dragon Boat Festival🎏 is Kabuto-chan. The second bottle is Suzukabuto. It is junmai ginjo new sake. It is safe to say that this one went out with a real mission. The rice is Ginbuki, a sake rice from Shiga Prefecture, just like the first bottle, Hatsuzakura. It is served cold. It has a slight yellow hue. The top aroma is very mild. It has a juicy aroma reminiscent of fresh bamboo grass, young dried grapes, and oranges. The mouthfeel is round. From the bluish alcoholiness, the juicy orange aroma and acidity are gently developed with a smooth and robust rice feel. The taste is sharp with a tangy, bitter and pungent flavor. The refreshing acidity typical of junmai ginjo-style sake, the familiar rice flavor, and the sharpness of the aftertaste are all nicely integrated. It is a moderate, not too hard-core food sake, and the more you drink, the more you will want another glass. Purchased when Nemuchi and I stopped by Hankyu's Depa basement on the way back from traveling SAKE. I found the sake that Mr. Sakeran was drinking, so I bought it. I have bought a sake with the same label, but I think it tastes different, so maybe it was the Gohyakumangoku version? There is a trace of sweetness, but the basic taste is dry. It has a strong extract. It's not my favorite line of sake, but there is something about it that I can't dislike 🤔.
