The rice used is Gohyakumangoku and Nihonbare. If I had to describe it in one word, I would say it's "Omnivorous Japanese Sake Partridge". It has an old-fashioned flavor and an aged feeling like a hiyaoroshi. Spicy and sweet in equal measure, with a long finish. It's a sake that should be served warm. By the way, it's "Hiyaoroshi", but it's shipped all year round.

It was a nice homey sake brewery 😊. It was limited to 100 bottles and they were the last 3 bottles. It's shwashy, sweet and sour. It may be a daiginjo, but it doesn't taste like yamahai and is easy to drink.

Drinking with my wife on our wedding anniversary last week, when we visited Tsushima Tsuru at the Metropolitan Morioka New Wing (laughs). Next up was a Hiyoroshi (Hiyori) Junmai Harazake by Drunken Sen. It's a refreshingly dry sake. The description says to enjoy the mellow flavor, but that's just my personal opinion... (^_^;) Good with sashimi! It was delicious! (^○^)

I tried three types of draft sake at a tasting and sale of Drunken Sen in Hankyu. I couldn't find a picture of the first one I drank, the Honjozo Nama, even though I searched for it. I couldn't find a picture of the first one I drank, but I guess it was because it wasn't winter time and there was no snow. I was told that this was a matured nama sake. It was delicious, with a beautiful, round taste. I had a hard time deciding which one to buy, but the last one I tasted was a fruity special junmai, so I went for that one.

Tasted and purchased at Umeda Hankyu. Sake from the Drunken Sake Brewery. It seems to be a terroir-like sake. It is delicious with a little bit of gasiness and both fruity and rice flavor. Once the gas disappears, the fruity taste disappears and the umami flavor takes center stage. I don't feel much spiciness. I wasn't sure whether to register it as Tagata, but the cap was Drunken Sen, so I registered it as Drunken Sen.

This is the third sake of a three-sake drinking comparison at THE CALENDER BIWAKO TOURISM, a standing drinking space that opened on 11/29 at JR Otsu Station in Shiga Prefecture. This is MONSOON, a kijo sake from the Laughing Season Sake Brewery. I love kijo sake. ☺️ Monsoon has three types of sake with different rice: Ginfukiyuki, Tamakoe, and Yamadanishiki, each with a different label depicting an artistic exotic beauty. This time we are drinking the Ginfukiyuki🌾 raw sake type. The aroma is gentle with a hint of sweetness. The rice aroma is also mild. I imagined it to be a bit more floral, but maybe that's because it's from the server. Smooth texture. The sweetness is fluffy, gentle, dark, and beautiful. The acidity is fine and gentle. The wine is smooth, flowing, and has a sharpness that seems to disappear without any change. The lingering finish is long and slightly complex. The taste perfectly matches the image of the woman on the label. It is sweet, but it doesn't linger, and finally disappears like a mirage. This is a bottle I would like to drink at home someday 🍶.

Thirty years ago, when I was a student, I went on a ski trip to Nozawa Onsen organized by a senior student. My memory is a little fuzzy, but I remember that a liquor store (Nagano store?) near Juonoyu was selling a set of three mini bottles of Unzan for 800 yen as a souvenir. Each bottle was no more than 1 gou, but it was a set of 3 bottles: Honjozo, Junmai Ginjo, and Harazake. I compared the sake for the first time with my skiing buddies. I compared them for the first time with my skiing buddies and found that my favorite was the Harazake. (I bought three boxes of it on my way home from a ski trip (lol). After that, I had several encounters with Unzan, and each time I bought a bottle of the original sake. This time, I was able to buy a fresh bottle that was only about a week old (although it has been open for about 2 weeks now). It has a slight effervescence. The mouthfeel is light and does not give the sensation of being a very strong sake. It has a mild lingering aroma. It is a very tasty sake.

I think it's rare to find unfiltered raw ginjo 🤔. Slightly sweet and nutty. It has a strong sweetness and umami. It's a good combination of modern and classic without feeling like it's been alkaloosoaked. If the label is a little more modern, it will sell well. After 10 days, it became bitter and hard to drink.
