This is a seasonal sake from spring to summer of Onikoroshi, the main brand of the Uota Shuzo brewery. It is a junmai daiginjo unfiltered raw sake that is stored in a snow cellar. It is sold at the brewery, at a roadside station in Kiyomi, Takayama City, and at supermarkets in Takayama City. The color is hazy with lees, and it has a rich aroma of rice like doburoku. The rich flavor is reminiscent of onikoroshi, and the sweetness spreads out from the rich umami. It is one of Misobagi's favorites with a long-lasting aftertaste.

Rice used is Dewa Sanzan As indicated by the alcohol content of 19 degrees, it is a gut-punching wine. ‼️ And it has the same throat and mouthfeel as you would expect from Muroka Nama-no-Hara Sake. The sweetness also comes through perfectly. It has a great impact, but it is sharp and has a clean finish, so it does not feel too heavy. However, if you drink it too fast, it will take its toll later on. It was a fun drink. ❣️

Hakone Drink Comparison Set (2) On March 1, after a year-long event, I went on a trip to Hakone as a way of consolation! The local sake was served to compare with Japanese kaiseki. It was my first time to try Hakonezan! This is the spiciest sake in the group. It is a dry ginjo-shu as you might imagine, but it is moderately rich and very good as a mid-meal drink. Of course, it goes well with ingredients as they are, but it also goes well with dishes that have been added, such as those using dashi (Japanese soup stock)!

This is another brand of sake from the brewery that brews Hakoneyama, a sake made from rice produced in Takao, the name of a local place in the town of Oimachi. I thought it was Mt. Tonight, our first series of impactful jackets here 💁. It's Taxi Driver🚕🚕🚕🚕. It was shipped from the brewery in April this year, but what a H30BY (R0BY) and it's a 5 year aged sake 😆. The aroma of old sake, which also smells like Shaoxing wine, is in full swing from the moment the bottle is opened 🤣. It was served cold, but it is easy to drink because of its acidity. It would be good to drink it warmed up in the fall. ☺️ I wonder if it would go well with Chinese food since it has a Shaoxing sake-like flavor, and I'm going to research how to drink it based on other sakewa reviewers 💪. But it's a very intoxicating drink so I'll stop after one cup 😓.

First drink. Weak fruity feeling that I didn't imagine from the label that has impact. But it is also full. There is a miscellaneous taste (my personal feeling) like the Yamahai brewing style with low rice polishing, but it is a moderate level, so I feel it is unique. It has just the right amount of sweetness to satisfy my preference for sweetness. I enjoyed it with a plate of delicious sashimi (´ω).

This sake was tasted along with the Junmai Ginjo I posted earlier. We were there when the store opened on the first day of tasting and sales, so all the sakes were unsealed, so we were able to sample them in fresh condition. I recommend going on Wednesday when the store opens 😆. It is Rokumaru with 60% rice polishing ratio. It is the same as Shinomine. It has more richness and umami than Junmai Ginjo. It is suitable for warming up.

I bought this sake as a souvenir from Yamaguchi Prefecture. The owner did not recommend it, but I bought it because of its name and appearance.
