Japanese Sake Fest @ Osaka Bay Tower (・ω・`) The effect of oak barrels, or something quite close to whiskey, but the mellowness and acidity of sake is also alive! I know it's just my imagination, but I feel it's similar to the whiskey akashi. Of course, if I didn't know any better, I wouldn't have thought so. I also had a bottle of Junmai Namae in the heated sake corner, but my memory is a little fuzzy on whether or not my brain was getting the alcohol when I got here! I do remember that it was meant to be heated, but that's about it.

Sanko Tenpyo Yamahai Junmai Unfiltered Nama-shu Omachi Michihiro Yamauchi's sake was also hard to get my hands on because of the gutsy, robust image of his sake, following in the footsteps of Katsumasa Takagaki, the toji of the company. We had it cold. The color is a little yellowish. The aroma is sweet, with a lactic acid-like fermentation aroma of Yamahai. The mouthfeel is smooth, smooth, and heavy. The taste is mild at first, but then the juicy lactic acid acidity is strongly felt, with a burnt caramel-like flavor and a heavy grain-like flavor. The aroma on the nose is softly apricot. I was in Akashi on a business trip 🚄 First time I got off at Nishi-Akashi and had local sake heated with Akashiyaki 🐙 which I haven't had in a super long time.　It feels spicy at first but the sweetness comes later 😯 Surprisingly, I like it a lot 😊. I'll drink it again when I go back to Akashi 😁.

Kumamoto's local sake, Sanzanmura Slightly sweet ginjo aroma A light, sweet mouthfeel with a soft acidity. Like drinking fresh green apple juice I drank too much and my memory is fuzzy I'm not even sure of the notes I wrote at the time😅. Anyway, it's delicious! Sake brewed with sake rice grown by a pesticide-free method called "Koi Farming" in Sanzan Village! Using the carp farming method, carp are released into the rice paddies 🌾🌾 to get rid of pests. A few years ago, I drank Manbo from Kumamoto Kameman Shuzo, which was a sake made using the duck farming method🦆! There are many people in Kumamoto who practice natural farming methods 🫶.
