When we sat down, I was happy to see that Kyushu sweet soy sauce was on the table 😄. Ordered the konoshiro from Amakusa, Kumamoto! Amakusa has exceptional sashimi 🐟. This time of year, it's oily and delicious! Wrapped in shiso leaves and served with sweet kanro soy sauce 👌👌👌 I want to try Amakusa's local delicacy, "konoshiro sushi with the whole fish" 🍣. Too bad I didn't have time to go to Amakusa this time 😭 It seems like the further south you go, the sweeter the food gets? I'm from Taiwan. I think Taiwanese food is pretty sweet. Especially in the south, Tainan, all the food is sweet like a lot of sugar 🫢. Oh, I forgot to mention the alcohol, 🫠. They opened it right in front of me, punched out. It's gassy and moderately interesting to drink as you roll it around on your tongue. Fruity sweetness and juicy like a grapefruit! 14 degrees Celsius is low for an undiluted sake. Very easy to drink! Sake from Saga is delicious! Saga's female detective is also very strong 🥸. To those who live in Kyushu I can't believe how easy it is to drink such delicious sake! I'm really jealous😄.

Souvenirs bought at the Iimori Sake Brewery during a walk in Hizen Hamajuku The mother was so kind! We also visited the nearby Yutoku Inari Shrine 🦊🙏. The underwater torii (torii gate) is a mysterious sight! It was a fun trip! Kyushu is a great place to visit. Now, Nabeshima's purple label! I've had Nabeshima-sama many times, but this was my first time to try the purple draft! It smells like black grapes! If you sniff carefully, you can also smell the sweet aroma of whipped cream! Slightly effervescent, not too sweet. Complex layers, with a little bit of alu flavor that comes afterwards. Freshly opened, so the taste is still a bit hard. The taste is gradually opening up. The other day, NBC Nagasaki broadcasted an interview with Onohara Shoten, a long-established store of karasumi (dried mullet roe), and introduced how to eat karasumi! I'm going to try making it myself 🤭. Prepare karasumi and rice cake Sandwich the rice cake between the karasumi and negi and wrap it in nori and eat it😳. Oh, it's too good 🥽! Too delicious 🥹. It was on the all-you-can-drink menu, so I ordered it without thinking! When I smelled it, it had a gorgeous aroma! Sweet, beautiful and full of fruitiness. It also has a strong umami taste and a bitter aftertaste. The aftertaste was bitter and clean! This is easy to drink and extremely delicious! It's my favorite so I couldn't resist 🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭. It's sticky, rich and very tasty! Beautiful sake and good snacks👍 I'm so happy!

The last drink of the day is Nichinichi I have always liked Sawaya Matsumoto and of course now I like the new Nichinichi! Slightly effervescent and citrus greef-like sweetness and bitterness Light and gentle Goes well with any food and this is a great food sake 🥹. The next day we went for a drive touring in Aso! Comfortable😄Kimoe 😆😆😆. We drove from Kumamoto via Minami Aso, Aso Panorama Line and Aso Milk Road 🚗=3 The road condition was very good and the scenery was amazing and nice! The golden grassland was like a carpet! No matter how many times I drive this road, I never get tired of it! Thank you for the beautiful weather and such a beautiful view 🤗.

The fourth drink was No.6 R. It's been a long time since I've had it. The owner recommended this drink. He said, "We sell it cheap." 😆 Chilli with a gassy feeling. Fruity, mild sweetness and sourness Delicious paired with grilled chicken 🤤. Next morning, we first drove to Aso🚗🎶. I felt the grandeur of Aso🌋😮😮 and enjoyed it! On the way to sightseeing, we went to "Jigoku Onsen Seifuuso" for a day trip to a hot spring ♨️ Mixed bathing with swimsuits, a rarity in Japan! One day trip bathing fee includes bathing suit and rental bath towel! The road was narrow, it was raining lightly in the morning, the mountains were covered with clouds and fog, and it was truly an unexplored region! When I went there, it was early in the morning and the bathhouse was almost completely reserved 🤭. The "sparrow's bath" here is a rare foot gush. Bubbles kept coming up from the bottom. It felt so good! It was fun chatting with two local men! It was a wonderful memory of my trip to Kumamoto 😚. Seifu-so was devastated by the Kumamoto earthquake in 2016 and was restored in 2019. Now the bathhouse rooms and all the buildings are so new! Please visit to support the recovery 😊.

The moment I took a bite, I was surprised I was so happy and impressed! It's that smell! It's like being in the Mori Sake Brewery! The aroma of sakekasu (sake lees) that fills the air! The third drink is Katakana Ryuriki. It's fun to meet a sake I've never seen before 😚. I think Ryuriki is also good since it's the year of the dragon 😆. I checked and it's a sake from Hyogo Prefecture. It's a solid sake. It's crisp with no aftertaste. The rice has a great umami flavor, but it's super dry. Excellent with chicken patties! The fatty flavor of the patties is great! Goes great with dry sake. The restaurant uses a lot of local ingredients, which made me from overseas enjoy eating there! Kumamoto's famous red eggplant 🍆 fresh, fluffy, and extremely delicious! Kumamoto's ginkgo nuts are also great 💕 I love them 🤭! Sake is so good! By the way, the sake here is cheap! 600 yen per glass! Shinsei is a little more expensive but it's only 700 yen 🤭🤭🤭. Photos 2 and 3 are of Shimabara City, Nagasaki Prefecture, a town where carp swim peacefully 🎏☺️ Picture 4 is an unmanned food stall in Unzen Hell Tour. Put a cat there to watch the stall 🤣🤣. Second glass of Fukkai Nigori My favorite drink on this Kyushu trip😍. This is why I bought two bottles to take home 🤭🤭. Like the famous Hiran, Fukkai is a sake from Hirado, Nagasaki Prefecture! Fukuda Shuzo's new brand, the brand name has changed from "Fukuda" to "Fukkai"! Isn't it awesome that their debut is nigori? 😚. pitchy for a microbubbly, slightly sweet soft and tasty acidity clean and nice mineral and greeful bitter aftertaste very dry and suitable for a medium-bodied wine If you see it, please give it a try! Unzen in the morning, wander to Shimabara city, and take a ferry to Kumamoto in the evening. 🛳️ Dinner was at a yakitori restaurant which we reserved in advance. Yakitori is made from Higo Akadori chicken, Kuro-satsuma chicken, Koudoro chicken, and Amakusa Daioh chicken. Selected as one of the 100 best yakitori restaurants for the first time in 2023! The owner was kind enough to seat us right next to the yakitori stand so that we could chat 😆. The quality of the meat, the charcoal heat, and everything else was of a very high level! Chochin is the best 🤭! I ate four of them 🥺. It was a great memory! The aperitif was Sundo! Sundo is so beautiful and delicious! Shuwa shuwa and fizzy! I can't stop drinking! It has a light but not outstanding acidity. The alcohol level is low, so it was a dangerous sake that made me lose my pace. The second picture is from Unzen Nita Pass looking towards Kumamoto. It is a great view of the Ariake Sea 😎😎.

Nabeshima is purple label💜 and orange label🧡. Which one are you? This purple label is from last year and not fresh new sake, but still fresh and delicious! I love the slight effervescence 😆. Melon-like aroma and refreshing sweetness! Yum yum 😋. After seeing the night view, we met a cute white cat on the way to Megane-bashi bridge. It followed me all the way and played hide and seek 🥹. Next morning, we left for Unzen Hell. Steam was rising in the air! The pungent sulfur smell is amazing! Lots of mangy cats! I've been well healed 😄! Of course I went to the hot spring in Unzen ♨️ Seiunso recommended! The inside is brand new and very clean! The spring is a sulfur spring. The smell is not as pungent as in hell, much milder! And the color is a nice blue milky white (Tiffany blue) ⤴️ And then to Shimabara via "Nitadoge", one of the 100 most famous roads in Japan! Running through the spectacular scenery🚗=3 We visited "Hakuryu" introduced by Mr. Himura, a gourmet! Ordered Chashu-men and Han-cha 👌 The pork bones are rich but not smelly and aromatic, and the fried rice is excellent! Seriously delicious💦. One of the 5 best ramen I've ever had 🤭. Cheap price, clean restaurant, friendly staff! It was around 3pm and there were still many people waiting in line!

Nabeshima Cafe Brew Second glass of Kitashizuku Jungin Bottled last June I wonder if it was fire-aged. It's not too sweet and has a slight sizzle. Nice long aftertaste and moderate bitterness 😌. I like to explore interesting places on Google Maps before I travel! On the way to Nagasaki, I stopped by a liquor store called Tsuruta Sake Shop that caught my attention! The big sign says "Nabeshima Special Dealer"! No other sake in the store except Nabeshima😆. No shochu either! The Nabeshima sake lined up on the shelves is a sight to behold! At the back of the store, there is a corner space. Everyone is drinking good sake 😚. After arriving in Nagasaki in the evening, we took a free bus to Mt. Inasa while eating Takumikando sponge cake🍰! It shines like a jewel ✨✨✨! Nagasaki's night view is worth $100 trillion💰. The world's top three nightscapes 😎😎. We also saw a huge cruise ship leaving the ship with a powerful whistle blowing 😮😮😮😮😮. I'm so happy~!

Strolling along the brewing street 🍶 of sake and soy sauce Interesting blend of old streets from the Edo period to the Showa period and tranquil scenery. On the blackboard of a soy sauce shop, it says "founded long ago"! 🤣 After that, we went to Nabeshima Cafe Brew for a set of 3 drinks! I ordered an iced coffee since I was driving! You can drink all the Tobiroki you want, too...! 😆 This is the last drink! A rare Hiroki Black Label! It's my first time drinking it 🎉. It was delicious, no questions asked! (Actually I was too drunk to taste it 🫠🫠. I remembered it being rich and sweet but not too sweet When I visited "Gonoi Sake Shop" last June, I checked out Tobiroki across the street 😆😆. When I got back I regretted not buying "Senshu" as a souvenir 😭😭😭. After visiting Karatsu Castle, it's already dusk We drove to Sasebo Shikamachi, where we were staying, but the roads were pitch black and empty and scary 👻. On the way, we had dinner at a yakiniku restaurant, rare Hirado wagyu beef and terraced rice from Kasuga met! Lucky us 🥹🥹. Better than the yakiniku I had at Daitoen in Fukuoka the other day! And it is much cheaper! The next day we went to Shiiba Sanso Shiiba-no-Yu at Ureshino Onsen, which is a hot spring for beautiful skin! The water was so nice! ♨️ It's fun to talk with a local guy while taking a hot spring 🤣! I bought some "Matsuura pickles" at a store inside the onsen! I'm going to buy some and try it with sake! (I'm going to buy some to go with sake! Thank you for reading this long ramble. 🙇‍♂️

I was pretty drunk at this point and couldn't take a picture of my drink 🤣. I rarely drink such high quality sake! I've never had Jikin Special Junmai on draft before! The balance of sweetness and acidity is perfect! The mildness is typical of the Oragami style 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌. I drank it with a swish swish swish swish swish swish swish swish swish 😆. Even though I was quite full. There are so many delicious things to eat in Fukuoka! First place to go was the long coveted Tempura Hirao 😚. Freshly fried tempura is the best 👌👌👌. On the way to Karatsu, we went to Narukami Onsen "Nananoyu" ♨️ in the deep mountains! First hot spring of the year♨️ Alkaline simple hot spring The water is soft to the touch 😄😄. The water is soft to the touch too! It is cold outside, but the feeling of the open-air bath in the cold is exceptional. After being rocked by the massage machine I had a cup of coffee milk. Then we went to see Niji-no-Matsubara. The weather was a little cloudy, but we had a beautiful view of the mountains, the sea, Karatsu Castle, and Niji-no-matsubara! It was powerful and felt great! 🤓 On the way back, we also visited Kagamiyama Dosojin near the observatory: ㊙️ Ufufu(๑̑◡̑๑)

Juicy and transparent! Youthful and fresh. It has a very elegant taste with a slight sizzling sensation! This is like good water, you can drink it like it's water 😆. My first Shichida! It was a nice encounter! I'm so glad I did 😁 Lunch on the day we arrived in Fukuoka, we were originally supposed to have Yakiniku at Daitoen, we didn't make a reservation because we were unsure of the entry time. When we arrived at the restaurant at 12.30pm, we were told there was a 2 hour wait, so we gave up 💔. When I passed by the front of the restaurant after having drinks in the evening, I went in and asked about it! I was surprised to hear they still had seats 😆. It's been a while since I've had yakiniku 🤤, and it was a super delicious ascent😇. I bought some delicious sake today! Looking forward to it! I don't think you can buy such a rare brand in Kyushu 😎.
