First time in a week at a craft beer and sake restaurant in Chigasaki. Last week, the city was a mess due to the Southern concert, but this week, I can drink calmly. After quenching my thirst with a craft beer on my way home from tennis, I followed the guidance of the store lady and sipped on a cup of sake. This sake comes at the end of the day and is very, very tasty with a strong rice flavor. It has the wild and refreshing taste of sake.

I came to Chigasaki early in the morning to play tennis, which was in high spirits due to the 45th anniversary of the Southern music band's concert. We started with hamo (Japanese conger eel) tempura and Masumi next to the huge line of people waiting to go to the venue. It was a refreshing drink, but not a violent kind of refreshing, and a very good choice for a first drink.

I left my Tokyo home at 5:50 a.m. to play tennis in Chigasaki, then took care of some business in Yokohama, and returned to Chigasaki to go to my favorite restaurant when it opened at 15:00. First, a sake with an unfamiliar name by Laughing Shiki. It is a sake with a subtle sweetness and a rich rice flavor with a clean aftertaste. It was a good start.

Today, I had planned to go to a famous sake izakaya in Otsuka (famous for its sake "Jyushidai") in the rain, but the metropolitan bus was delayed for 15 minutes and did not show up, probably due to the rain. After cleaning up the white squid, shime saba (mackerel), and nikudofu with beer and highballs, I finally settled on a daiginjo from the Hokushin style. It was a very tasty sake with a good aroma, fruity sweetness, and a nice sharp aftertaste. Tomorrow morning, I will leave at 5:50 a.m. to play tennis, so I will return home in one gong, savoring the aftertaste of this Hokushin-ryu.

It's been a while since I've had a drink in Kyoto. I've been drinking at my favorite sake bar in Shichijo since light. There is an autumn sake on tap, but I start with a summer sake. Despite the name "Sarasara," it is a delicious sake with a well-balanced flavor, with a taste of rice and a hint of sweetness.
