While waiting at a liquor store in a mall, I found a corner for comparing local liquors and bought a bottle (180 ml). The wife said it smelled like apple cider vinegar. It tastes like apple cider vinegar. The taste was smooth and the umami spread out well. The rice polishing ratio is 70%, so the taste is quite complex. The acidity comes in later, and it goes down the throat smoothly. There is not much of a lingering aftertaste. The impression is that it is an easy-drinking sake.

I bought this bottle on a hunch that it would be delicious, when I spotted it at a liquor store. The manufacturer seems to have changed its name to "Sakurao Brewery and Distillery" now. The aroma is fruity, like pineapple. The palate is smooth and smooth, with a slight sweetness, followed by a light spread of rice flavor and a gentle bitterness on the back end. It is very easy to drink, with a lingering aftertaste that leaves a strong aftertaste deep in the nose. Overall, this sake is very gentle and easy to drink. We had it with mugwort dumplings, which complemented the sweetness very nicely.

I have been curious about "Yuki no Mayu" for a long time. I found a 300ml bottle at a nearby liquor store and bought it. The aroma is mildly fruity, like a pear. In the mouth, the fruity taste spreads from a gentle gasiness, and the umami of the rice moderately follows. The acidity and the lingering taste in the nose are pleasant at the end. Since it is 14%, it can be drunk quickly and easily, so in a sense, it is a sake that requires caution. The 300 ml bottle is easy to keep on hand and easy to buy, which makes me happy.

I had wanted to try "ICHIHAKUSUISEI" for a long time. I went to a liquor store wondering which "ICHIHAKUSUISEI" to choose, and fell in love with this label at first sight and decided immediately. The aroma was sweet and pineapple-like. In the mouth, the moderate gasiness, sweetness, umami, and acidity spread through the mouth in good balance, leaving a lingering aftertaste on the nose and a gentle feeling as it slides down the throat. Personally, I like it very much. I feel that this sake is easy to drink even for beginners. This one is a reissue, so I would like to try others.

This is the third in the series of spring sake for the wife. We fell in love with the label and decided immediately after tasting it. The aroma is slightly pear-like. The mouthfeel has a slight gasiness with a sweetness that comes in gently, followed by an umami taste that spreads in the mouth. It goes down the throat gently but crisply, leaving a subtle aftertaste. Overall, I have the impression that many of the spring sakes are gentle. It seems that there are many spring sakes that match the wife's tastes, and the series will continue for a while 🌸.

Hakurakusei" is a favorite of the couple. When we learned that it was in stock, we knew we had to buy it because of the glittering label, so we ran to the store and bought it, and finally opened the bottle. The aroma was light, but when you put it in your mouth, you could feel the gasiness and the fullness and strength characteristic of Omachi. It has a bitter taste and a lingering aftertaste. We enjoyed it with grilled pork with miso and miso soup, and I think it is better to drink it as a mealtime sake than as a stand-alone sake. It makes me look forward to eating.

First time at the corner. One of the spring sake that the wife was having trouble with, "Raifuku no Sakura". The aroma was mild. The aroma is mild, but the mouthfeel is fruity with just the right amount of gas. In the mouth, it is fruity with a good amount of gas, giving the impression of spring freshness. The delicious and fruity aftertaste is followed by a sour aftertaste, which is the ephemeral nature of cherry blossoms falling, or should I say, a sense of regret. You will want to pair it with hanami (cherry blossom viewing).

Sake purchased on a visit to Awaji Island. It is a sake from a small sake brewery that can only be purchased on Awaji Island. The name "Shibaemon" refers to a "raccoon dog" that used to live on Awaji Island. I had the impression that another brand was easy to drink before, but this one was also easy to drink and tasted like sake. The aroma was mild, the taste was smooth and smooth, and it disappeared quickly with a mild flavor, just like traditional sake. It is a sake that makes you feel like you are drinking sake. Some people may find it lacking, but for me personally, it is a taste that makes me feel at ease.

The New Year is a month away, and I opened this bottle a month late. There is not much of an aroma before drinking. It has a slight pear-like aroma, a gentle mouthfeel, sweetness, and a good amount of gas. The sweetness and moderate gassiness are followed gently by the umami and acidity, and the finish is pleasant, leaving a moderate lingering aftertaste. Today we had it with ehoumaki and mizutaki, but it is a gentle sake that will go well with almost anything. The "Ni-Rabbit" has come in the form of "Niwu" (Aizan) and the zodiac label (Manzai), so next time I would like to try an Omachi.

Today I went back to my hometown and had a relaxing drink with my wife. I brought a 300 ml "Saku" with me so that it would be easy to take with me. I remember that when I drank IMPRESSION "M" before, it was very gassy, so I went for the regular type this time. The aroma is typical of sake, and the mouthfeel is smooth. The sweetness and umami of the rice spread in the mouth, and with a soft acidity, the sake slides easily down the throat, making it easy to drink. This is really delicious. I drank it with rice crackers, and it went very well with them.

I bought this sake when I visited Ise at the end of last year. It was brewed by Imanishi Shuzo, the brewer of "Mimuro Sugi", to be presented to the Ise Shrine. It is a cloudy sake, so I stirred it before opening the bottle slowly. The mouthfeel is silky like a lactobacillus drink, with a pleasant slightly carbonated gaseous sensation. Then the umami flavor follows, and it goes down your throat with just the right amount of acidity. It is very easy to drink, and you can drink more and more of it. I am looking forward to seeing if it will become an umami type sake once the gas is released.

The second bottle of the year was this one, which I bought as a label at the end of the year. I don't remember drinking nigori very often, so I opened the bottle looking forward to it. From the gorgeous aroma reminiscent of pineapple, a slight sweetness spreads to the palate with a slightly effervescent, fizzy, and acidic taste. After that, the bitterness lingers in the mouth, leaving a lingering aftertaste as it slides down the throat with a crisp finish. A dry, addictive sake with a sweet aroma that is followed by a bitter taste.

We started the New Year with a toast with "Shosetsu" Tenmanguki, which the wife tasted and fell in love with. The aroma is gorgeous, almost banana-like. The mouthfeel is gentle and fruity, but the deliciousness of the rice is still there. The acidity comes later and freshens up the palate, and the lingering aroma leaves a pleasant aftertaste that goes down the throat smoothly. I am happy to welcome the New Year with a delicious sake.
