Recently, Shichiken is also famous for its sparkling sake. I once had a very gorgeous and delicious sake at a restaurant, but I think it was probably a limited edition sake for early spring. This one I bought at a supermarket. It's not very glamorous and has an alcoholic taste, but it's quite tasty as a food sake.

There was a slightly crazy event where you could enjoy unlimited sake tasting at over 30 participating stores in the Nihonbashi area with an oinoguchi in hand. I drank so much that I don't even remember what it tasted like, but here are some of the tasty ones that remain in my memory. It's an unfiltered sake, but it's easy to drink and has a gorgeous taste. I tried other Raku no sei, but this one was exceptional...

Asakai, which I bought along with HINEMOS as a spring-like sake. This one was sweet, but rather light, with a slightly medicinal flavor.

I went to Karuizawa with my family and stayed at a cottage, so I bought this sake at a nearby outlet. It comes with a lid, or rather, a sake cup. I bought it for myself, not as a souvenir. I'll open it right away." It was a junmai sake, dry, the exact opposite of what I like, so I drank it just for the atmosphere.

The brand is based on the concept of "sake recommended by the hour" called HINEMOS, and the 4 o'clock (YOJI) product was redesigned as a cherry blossom. The whole brand itself has a stylish design that looks like wine, and I can't wait to try them all! And this cherry blossom one is honestly just sweet. For those who are not comfortable with sake, this is a sweet sake that doesn't look like sake and can be enjoyed with gusto. Sweetness is welcome, but for me, I would have liked a little more acidity.

Happy New Year! I was looking at alcohol at the store and found something appropriate for the new year! It's an unfiltered sake, but it's easy to drink and has a well-balanced taste. I also got some really interesting sake cups the other day, so I decided to combine them with the sake and ring in the New Year with a good new year's celebration!

I was too busy looking for something affordable to drink for fall, so I bought a hiyaoroshi version of Kamizen Josui for fall. I decided to try it because I was sure it would be good, and of course it was easy to drink. I would recommend it to anyone. (On the other hand, it is not a sake with a lot of character.)

This year's summer sake choice, following Houken, is also from Hiroshima. It is easy to drink with a slightly dry, refreshing taste and a slightly sweet ginjo aroma at first sip. As the name "Ryoufu" suggests, it went well with the hot summer weather.

Beau Michelle A summer-only sake with a wine-like name, bottle, label, and a history of Nagano sake called snow fantasy in summer. It is a summer limited edition sake called "snow fantasy in summer". It is a draft sake, and when I shook the bottle to open it, it started to bubble up.... This is the kind of sake that must be consumed quickly or it will be absolutely useless! I thought, and it was empty in 2 days lol. When I drank it once without shaking it, it tasted like a dry cider with no sweetness, and when I drank it after mixing the cage thoroughly, the sweetness came in well like champagne. As the label design suggests, it tastes fresh and delicious without being sake-like!

A story about how Hyogo sake might not be right for you. When I was having a drink with a friend from Hyogo, I looked up what sake is available in Hyogo and found names I had heard of, such as Kiku-Masamune and Okuharima. I had a strong impression that Kiku-Masamune was not my favorite sake, having tasted it all at a sake fair held at a department store once. I wondered how Okuharima would be like, and the result was... I still didn't like it. I guess you could call it a rice taste, but it was heavy and had a strong alcohol taste. It was the exact opposite of gorgeous and refreshing, and if I had to say it was like a sake, I would say so, but anyway, it was the exact opposite of my own direction.

I bought it because my senior uncle at work said he liked it best. Well, he said he prefers junmai to ginjo, so I knew his tastes were quite different from mine. It tasted less like a refreshing easy-drinker and more like a full-bodied rice flavor. In other words, it was mellow rather than sharp.

I enjoyed the white bear light nigori, so now I bought the spring rabbit. But this one was not so good. I was surprised that the cork flew open like champagne when I opened the bottle for the first time (but it was not fizzy)!

What is this too cute label? I ordered this outrageous label when I asked for an in-stock sake at a store I often visit, so I ordered it immediately. Gahaha. The taste was normal. It tasted like a pure rice sake, which is not my favorite... lol.

The label is cute white or red. The label is pretty, with a white or red color. I thought it was quite aromatic for a junmai (pure rice) sake. The fruity sweetness makes it easy to drink. As the name suggests, it should be mixed with ogara-mi, but I forgot to do so... Of course, it was totally different when I forgot and when I mixed it, and I realized how delicious ogara-mi can be.

One of my coworkers is from Tsushima, so I told him about Shiratake and he told me that nigori sake is delicious, so I bought some. (They send me a dozen every year from my parents' house... give me at least one bottle to try!) ) and it is actually quite tasty. I don't drink nigori sake very often, but this one is a bit addictive. It is slightly effervescent when opened, and has an easy-drinking sweetness that is typical of nigori sake. It also has a nice aftertaste, so you can drink it in large gulps!

Happy New Year 2023! The first one of the new year is Miyakanme, which I wanted after seeing a picture of it posted by a friend on a social networking service. The label is stylish. I drank it in the New Year with gusto, but although the aroma was good, the sweetness was less than I expected. It is definitely my favorite type of sake, but I was not as impressed as I was when I drank Raifuku or Kuroryu.

I've heard a lot about the name Drunken Whale, and there are many different kinds! This Ko-iku No. 54 is made entirely from Kochi sake rice "Gin-no-Yume". It is not my favorite sake, but it was easy to drink without much alcohol. I decided to buy it because it was sold as a set with a sake notebook in collaboration with NOLTY. I also found a picture book at the online store, so I bought it.

If the label is cute, you will want to get it. This sake comes in many varieties, and the labels are all fashionable. It tastes like regular sake, but the ease of drinking it the moment it enters the mouth is extraordinary. It comes in easily, just like Kozen Nyosui.
