Yamahai junmai aged in oak barrels for one year. It has a slightly mellow old sake-like flavor.
However, the drinkability of Hiraizumi is maintained, and the peculiarities are not that strong. I felt it was a good entry point for old sake.
Slightly rounded fruity nose.
Light and angular texture on the palate.
Light sweetness with a clean yet soft acidity,
The taste has a subtle fruity sweet and sourness.
A refreshing sake that makes you want to drink it smoothly.
Taste level 3.5/5
Good evening, ma-ki-san.
This is the first time I drank Hiraizumi.
I've never had a taste of Tobirazumi before, but the Kugu Type-B was delicious 😋.
I want to try Marufei next time 😊.
Purchased at a liquor store near Tenjin Station
(Just after opening the bottle)
Drink cold
Clear and colorless
Mild sweet and sour aroma
Strong sweetness and sourness in the mouth.
Delayed rice flavor
After that, a strong dryness appears and the taste becomes sharp.
Slippery and smooth on the throat.
As time goes by, the sweetness and acidity weaken and the taste becomes clear.
Warming up to lukewarm
The aroma is not strong.
The sweetness and acidity remain the same, but the sharpness of the flavor increases.
Heat sake to hot.
The aroma becomes stronger.
The sweetness is almost gone, but the acidity is still there.
The flavor of rice can be felt more easily.
Taste quickly becomes sharp and less dry.

Hirasen 2024 Sake Specified for Exhibit
I was looking forward to the sake go-around again this year!
We had planned to take the afternoon off with our spouses and entered the event! (6/7)
This is the second of the three restaurants we visited.
🍶Ponju Building & Hiraizumi (Akita)
The sake was a lethal one... After consulting with the brewer and choosing the best one, we decided to go for the rare "6BY sake" 😇.
The taste is elegant with mild acidity and sweetness!
The reason why I visited only a few breweries this year is because the Ponshu building is owned by Hiraizumi! I've been looking forward to this for a while 😍.
I want to drink more than just sake! But my lethal dose is limited to 2 gou...so this year's go-around is not a go-around and my sake limit will be consumed here 🫣.

Hiraizumi Maruhi Vol. 6 Nigori Sake Miyamanishiki
I was looking forward to the "Sake Go-Around" again this year!
We had planned to take the afternoon off with our spouses and entered the event! (5/7)
This is the second of three restaurants we visited!
Ponju Building & Hiraizumi (Akita)
Marubi's nigori sake. Delicious with a slight lactobacillus taste!
(I stayed behind, at this time my husband went-around to Orihara Shoten 🚶)
The reason why we visited only a few shops this year is because the Ponchu building is owned by Hiraizumi! I've been looking forward to this for a while 😍.
I want to drink more than just sake! But my lethal dose is limited to 2 gou...so this year's go-around is not a go-around and my sake limit will be consumed here 🫣.

HIROSEN HITEN HITEN 䴏 TSUBAME
We were looking forward to the sake go-around again this year!
We had been planning to take the afternoon off with our spouses for a while and entered the event! (4/7)
This is the second of three restaurants we visited.
🍶Ponju Building & Hiraizumi (Akita)
Tsubame, I was told that there is no longer a domestic supply and the bottles are for export! We had a precious cup. Delicious!
(My husband was drinking Sour Girl at this time. (My husband was drinking Sour Girl at the time, which was also delicious!)
The reason why we visited only a few restaurants this year is because the Ponju building is Hirasen's. I have been looking forward to this for a while 😍! I've been looking forward to this event for a long time 😍.

Hiraizumi Marufei Vol. 5 Hiyaoroshi Hiyaoroshi Ippozumi
I was looking forward to another "sake go-around" this year!
I had planned to take the afternoon off with my wife and I for a long time and entered the event! (3/7)
This is the second of three restaurants we visited!
Ponju Building & Hiraizumi (Akita)
Sour and sweet, delicious!
Of course the brewery staff, but we also had the pleasure of meeting some of the guests, such as the brother of the brewer who worked at Tobirazumi for a month, and the proprietress of Furea, the restaurant next door where we had visited earlier, who came to have a "go-around" for a cup of sake. ☺️
The reason why we visited only a few shops this year is because the Ponshu Building is in Tobirazumi! I've been looking forward to this for a while 😍.
I want to drink more than just sake! But my lethal dose is limited to 2 gou... so I decided to consume my sake limit here instead of going around this year 🫣.
Preferred ★★☆☆☆☆☆☆
Akita Sake Party in Akita
The 12th cup: Hiraizumi
We went back to Hirasen to see if we liked Marutobi or the other Hirasens.
The sake was stronger than Marutobi, but less acidic.
It was good, but I found that I definitely preferred Marutobi.
Even though I knew that I preferred Marutobi, I went back to Sugahisa and bought another bottle of Hiraizumi (Yamahai Hyakuda).
Hiraizumi Kugen Type B

HIROSEN HITEN HITEN CHIDORI
There was a Chidori! The color is very different from the one I had at home 😳 ...and now that I look closer, it says the brewing year is 2020!
Delicious 😋.

HIRASEN HITEN HAKUCHO Type C
So, I bought it at the "Young Dawn 2025" event because I was told that it would be sold in advance at the event!
It's a sweet and sour brew made with No. 77 yeast, Yamahai yeast, and white malted rice...
