Drunken Whale Summer Sake. The last time I drank Drunken Whale was so good that I bought it again. It is still delicious. It is not too sweet, not too thick, not too fruity, and well-balanced and versatile. A utility sake to keep a bottle in the fridge.

I have had it, but this will be my first post on sakewa. I had an image of Kunika as light and dry, but it has a sweetness with a banana🍌 feel. It also has a melon-like melon sensation after a day. It has a very good balance and is good as a food sake or a light snack for dinner. A stable Shizuoka sake 🍶.

I used to drink it at pubs, but never bought Oumine because it was too expensive for home drinking. I bought it when the prices of other alcoholic beverages gradually went up and I no longer cared about them. It was like drinking it for the first time, as it had been many years since I last had it. Is this the flavor often compared to muscat? The sweetness is fresh and fruity. It is also different from melon. I haven't had muscat for a while, so it didn't ring a bell, but it tastes good, so that's good 😋. I'm still at a loss for a good analogy. I'll try muscat next time.

First issue #11 @ 2024 I bought 4 bottles of sake with the intention of drinking them during Golden Week, but I was exhausted from tending to my garden and didn't get very far. Moderate acidity and sweetness. It is a firm tasting sake. I had imagined it to be dry, so I was betrayed in a good way. It is a delicious sake.

First issue #11 @ 2024 The last bottle I bought on my trip to Kofu. Chilled first. It's dry with a delicious flavor. It should be delicious warmed up. So today I drank it hot. The aroma is very nice and tangy on the tongue. The umami flavor is also enhanced. Delicious 😋.

first issue One of the bottles I purchased on my weekend trip to Yamanashi. It was so nice to see the peach blossoms and cherry blossoms just in time 🤭 I was able to stop by and shop at a liquor store I wanted to visit. Since we were there, we decided to buy something local. It has sweetness, sourness, and bitterness. It has a sweet taste at first and a bitter aftertaste. The tongue tingles a little. It is a strong tasting sake.

This is your first issue. Purchased at a liquor store that I like to stop by when I go to Nagoya. It has a low alcohol content of 13 degrees. It has a sweetness and sourness that reminds me of apples. Delicious.

This is your first issue. I was in the mood for hot sake, so I chose one that was labeled "dry" on the store's pop-up. When I first drank it cold, it was quite light and dry. It was easy to drink as the flavor and aroma opened up when it was warmed.

First issue #7 @ 2024 I bought it because the price was reasonable for a Junmai Daiginjo. Junmai Daiginjos are sometimes too clean and lacking in cleanliness, but this one is not like that. It also goes well with the pickled mackerel. I am addicted to a delicious way of eating shime saba (mackerel) that I got at an izakaya (Japanese-style bar) I went to at the end of the year. Just put gari and shredded shiso leaves on top of the seared shime saba and sprinkle with roasted sesame seeds. It's easy and delicious 😋.

It was the Doll's Festival🎎, so I got up early and went to the market to buy clams and sea bream. Dinner was clam soup and chirashi sushi. Since we are going to the market, we also want to drink good sake. This is the only sake in the fridge. I bought it to drink at Christmas, but I haven't been able to drink it because of various reasons. ⛄️ It's a good combination and good timing. It has a sourness and a shwashiness that is typical of Sengoku that lingers on. It is a delicious sake 🍶.

It is said to be a commemorative sake for the Wind Forest train service. It was 2251 with a serial number. Polishing ratio 91%. Thank goodness it has a taste chart for stupid tongues. First I felt sweetness, then lactic acidity. It has a unique lactic acidity like Camembert. I paired it with a salad of island tofu and spring vegetables that I bought at the deli, but I should have bought the camembert. The salad was good, too.

Limited edition sake bought at Nitoshi's brewery opening🍶. An assemblage of Ni-Toshi's barrel sake. I don't know what they mixed. Of course, there is no way to tell with my stupid tongue 👅. Well, as long as it tastes good, that's all that matters. The taste is typical of Ni-Rabbit, where sweetness and bitterness coexist. Compared to the sweet one from the other day, the sweetness is moderate, so the bitterness is also felt well. Delicious 😋.

First issue #5 @ 2024 I had an image of Yamashiroya as dry and a bit expensive, so I had never had it before. It was totally different from my image. It had a sourness, like a Sengoku type? Perhaps it was because it was a draft sake, but it had a tangy carbonation sensation on the tongue. I felt like I was betrayed in a good way. This is delicious 😋I will buy it again.

This time my purchase was not at my usual store, but a store I rarely go to. I love the manager here, I can feel his love for alcohol 😊. I asked him for a recommendation for a sake 🍶 to go with my meal and he recommended this one. He said they just came in yesterday. It's called Gin no Iroha, which is a new variety of sake rice from Miyagi Prefecture. The label also sparkles 🤩. When you drink it, the sweetness comes, finishes with bitterness, and disappears quickly. It is refreshing with little bitterness. Delicious 😋.

I went back to my hometown on Saturday and Sunday, but my parents had some business today and asked me to manage dinner by myself. Since it was urgent, I decided to go out for a drink alone for the first time in a while, but all the restaurants I had my eye on were full. I finally managed to get into an Italian restaurant and had a quick bite to eat. My friend had already had dinner and was already having a drink, so we settled down with some snacks and sake. There is a Jikin. And all of them are the same price. Then, Jikin. It is still delicious. No doubt about it. Sashimi is also delicious. Thanks to my friend who came on such short notice. We had a lot of good conversations and it was a great holiday.

This year, the rice used for the sake has been replaced by 2038 Honorific Fuji, and the label has been redesigned. When you drink it, there is a distinct sweetness at first, but the bitterness comes later and disappears. It has a sweet taste, but it is dry. Since it is dry with a clean aftertaste, it went well with Hamamatsu dumplings (🥟). I think I like this kind of sake lately. By the way, recently chilled dumplings are easy to cook and delicious. They are surprisingly inexpensive.
