First issue #7 @ 2024 I bought it because the price was reasonable for a Junmai Daiginjo. Junmai Daiginjos are sometimes too clean and lacking in cleanliness, but this one is not like that. It also goes well with the pickled mackerel. I am addicted to a delicious way of eating shime saba (mackerel) that I got at an izakaya (Japanese-style bar) I went to at the end of the year. Just put gari and shredded shiso leaves on top of the seared shime saba and sprinkle with roasted sesame seeds. It's easy and delicious 😋.

It was the Doll's Festival🎎, so I got up early and went to the market to buy clams and sea bream. Dinner was clam soup and chirashi sushi. Since we are going to the market, we also want to drink good sake. This is the only sake in the fridge. I bought it to drink at Christmas, but I haven't been able to drink it because of various reasons. ⛄️ It's a good combination and good timing. It has a sourness and a shwashiness that is typical of Sengoku that lingers on. It is a delicious sake 🍶.

It's been a long time since I've been in Takachiyo. Fresh and refreshingly sweet like white peaches, not yellow peaches. The sweetness is so refreshing that you can drink it even with a meal. Delicious 😋.

It is said to be a commemorative sake for the Wind Forest train service. It was 2251 with a serial number. Polishing ratio 91%. Thank goodness it has a taste chart for stupid tongues. First I felt sweetness, then lactic acidity. It has a unique lactic acidity like Camembert. I paired it with a salad of island tofu and spring vegetables that I bought at the deli, but I should have bought the camembert. The salad was good, too.

Limited edition sake bought at Nitoshi's brewery opening🍶. An assemblage of Ni-Toshi's barrel sake. I don't know what they mixed. Of course, there is no way to tell with my stupid tongue 👅. Well, as long as it tastes good, that's all that matters. The taste is typical of Ni-Rabbit, where sweetness and bitterness coexist. Compared to the sweet one from the other day, the sweetness is moderate, so the bitterness is also felt well. Delicious 😋.

First issue #5 @ 2024 I had an image of Yamashiroya as dry and a bit expensive, so I had never had it before. It was totally different from my image. It had a sourness, like a Sengoku type? Perhaps it was because it was a draft sake, but it had a tangy carbonation sensation on the tongue. I felt like I was betrayed in a good way. This is delicious 😋I will buy it again.

This time my purchase was not at my usual store, but a store I rarely go to. I love the manager here, I can feel his love for alcohol 😊. I asked him for a recommendation for a sake 🍶 to go with my meal and he recommended this one. He said they just came in yesterday. It's called Gin no Iroha, which is a new variety of sake rice from Miyagi Prefecture. The label also sparkles 🤩. When you drink it, the sweetness comes, finishes with bitterness, and disappears quickly. It is refreshing with little bitterness. Delicious 😋.

I went back to my hometown on Saturday and Sunday, but my parents had some business today and asked me to manage dinner by myself. Since it was urgent, I decided to go out for a drink alone for the first time in a while, but all the restaurants I had my eye on were full. I finally managed to get into an Italian restaurant and had a quick bite to eat. My friend had already had dinner and was already having a drink, so we settled down with some snacks and sake. There is a Jikin. And all of them are the same price. Then, Jikin. It is still delicious. No doubt about it. Sashimi is also delicious. Thanks to my friend who came on such short notice. We had a lot of good conversations and it was a great holiday.

This year, the rice used for the sake has been replaced by 2038 Honorific Fuji, and the label has been redesigned. When you drink it, there is a distinct sweetness at first, but the bitterness comes later and disappears. It has a sweet taste, but it is dry. Since it is dry with a clean aftertaste, it went well with Hamamatsu dumplings (🥟). I think I like this kind of sake lately. By the way, recently chilled dumplings are easy to cook and delicious. They are surprisingly inexpensive.

Today and tomorrow is the first day of the brewery open house at Maruishi Brewery, which brews Ni-Utari. I went there to buy the limited edition sake. The opening of the brewery starts at 9:00 a.m., so I went there just in time to see the long line of people waiting to buy the limited-edition sake. I completely underestimated the popularity of Ni-Hare. It would have been a shame to come all the way here and leave without buying anything, so I stood in line for about an hour, hoping there would be some left. I bought two bottles and opened a bottle at my junior's house. It was sweet. Sweet, but refreshing and not unpleasantly sweet. It was delicious, but I was very selective about what to have with it because I knew it would be sweet, but it seemed to go surprisingly well with a meal.

First issue #4 @2024 Dinner today was lasagna. Drinking dinner while watching the Bahrain 🇧🇭 match. I thought a sparkling wine would go well with Western food, so I opened the bottle. The owner of the liquor store told me to be careful because it was going to blow, but it didn't take me long to open it. After opening the bottle, I noticed that it says to keep it in the fridge for a year 😅... I drank it, and it's already champagne 🥂 It has just the right amount of acidity, with a nice carbonation and astringency. This is delicious. I'm not sure if I should drink too much of it. Oh, they scored me... 🥺.

First issue #3 @ 2024. It is late when I get back from my parents' house, so I will have a lunch box from the supermarket for dinner. I open a bottle of this sake. It seems to be written "Hatsu" and read "ubu". According to a liquor store's blog, it is the strongest food sake. Well, it is very refreshing without being so assertive. When it is warmed up, the acidity comes out, but it has a nice sharpness. I prefer it warmed up.

Returned home for legal matters. We gathered with relatives and family for lunch. We had delicious food and beer at a sushi kaiseki restaurant 🍺. At night, we had dinner at my parents' house. They prepared beer and sake for us, but we drank a lot during lunch, so both were in moderation. They had prepared Takasago for us to drink. I wonder if it's my dad's favorite these days, I feel like he buys it often 🤔. It is said to be dry, but I can feel the sweetness as well. After that comes the bitterness. You can drink it neatly.

Since the other day, I've been in the mood for a sake that is easy to pair with side dishes. I'm going to buy some dry sake, which I usually don't choose. I have an image of light and dry sake, so I have probably had it at an izakaya before, but I had never bought it before. This is my first brand. Tonight's meal is tuna and sesame buri. I opened the bottle immediately. Yes, it is light and dry. Just as I wanted. Just as I wanted it to be. Next time, I'll try heating it up.

I was supposed to go shopping this weekend, but there was no more alcohol in the fridge 😕 Well, I thought that abstaining from alcohol for a week was not a bad idea, but I bought some at Seijo Ishii, which I stopped by while I was out playing with my kids 😥 and also with some fashionable snacks. It's been a while since I've had Kuheiji. It has just the right amount of sweetness. It's sweet, but not too sweet. It's not light, but it's refreshing. Good balance. It is good to drink with snacks. I like this kind of sake.

New Year's party with usual junior staff. I had never had this brand before and my junior said it was delicious, so I bought it to drink at the New Year's party. For snacks, I had boiled rice that my junior made for me, potato salad and pressed mackerel sushi that I bought at the supermarket. The sake has a sweet taste, but it quickly fades and the aftertaste is refreshing. It is indeed delicious 😋 and a strain I also like. It's easy to pair with snacks, and it's a great sake 🍶.

Happy New Year 🌅. This year, too, we will start drinking at the beginning of the year with Kaiun. I will have a cup of osechi and ozoni in the morning. The morning is the same as usual except for drinking in the morning. This is the first time for me to drink Honorifuji nigori, but it is refreshingly sweet, not cloying, and easy to drink. It is delicious. This year, I'm going to make a day off from drinking in moderation and reduce the amount of alcohol 🍶 while taking care of my health.

Safe? We finished our work for the year. My children got sick on Christmas Day, and the sake I was going to open is now on standby. I'd like to reward myself for finishing work with a nice sake. The sweetness and bitterness come to the forefront, with a bit of acidity. It was a sake to drink with light snacks rather than with a meal.
