I was on my way back from cherry blossom viewing today. It was raining heavily 😨. Today's sake is "Takumi". It's a sake from Kyoto. My first sake 😀. Color is clear, aroma is faint ginjo aroma 🤔Mouthfeel is modest sweetness and slight bitterness. Refreshing spiciness. At first I thought it was a complex tasting sake, but as I drank it, the sweetness started to come through and it was very tasty. I had it with sashimi and kabuto (sea bream). The weather was bad but it was a good day 😆.

Today's sake is "Koei Kiku Anastasia Green" 😋. The color is clear and the aroma is similar to sweet grape? In the mouth, it has a slight sourness, bitterness, and sweetness like grapes. It's easy to drink and delicious 😀 I usually finish 4 gou of it 😅It's not too sweet, and I would recommend it to intermediate level sake drinkers. Today I paired it with oyster nabe, but it seems to go well with anything 😊I would love to drink this sake at an izakaya with friends while chatting 😋.

Today's sake is "Shichihon-yari Ki-no-Kan" 😊Shichihon-yari is my favorite sake 😆. It is made from 100% Tamakae from Nagahama in Shiga prefecture and brewed in a wooden vat. The color is clear and the aroma is like maple syrup 🤔The taste on the palate is elegant bitterness, sweetness, slight sourness and a strong spiciness. I like Nanamotojari after all 😋. I paired it with sardine sashimi and fried squid today, but I think this sake would probably go well with all kinds of food. Thanks for the delicious sake😃.

The color is clear and light nigori with a hint of folds 🤔The aroma is very subdued and citrusy? The aroma is very subdued and citrusy, and in the mouth it has a subdued and refreshing bitterness, sweetness, acidity, and spiciness. It is a delicious and easy to drink sake, suitable for sake beginners 🤔If you like sake, it might be better to have a little more richness 😋. I'd like to try Wakatsuru's Yao Shizuku next time 😊.

100% Kame-no-o, one time bottle-fired fresh sake. The color is clear and the aroma is weakly yogurt-like. When you put it in your mouth, it has a pleasant sweetness from the bitterness and spiciness. Delicious! Yuzawa city is famous as the birthplace of Ono no Komachi 🤔Ryoseki sake brewery also has a building registered as a national tangible cultural property. I'd like to visit there next time 😊. I wonder if it goes well with Inaniwa udon? I'd like to give it a try 😄

It won the first place special prize in the Junmai Ginjo and Junmai Daiginjo category of the 2020 Fall National Sake Competition👍. The color is clear and the aroma is rummy. Refreshingly good aroma 😊In the mouth it has a refreshing bitterness, slight sourness/sweetness, and then spiciness. Easy to drink 😋. I heard it was Yokoyama Taikan's favorite sake. It's very good with sashimi or maybe wasabi, but it's sweeter when paired with it 😆Great sake 🤩.

Today's sake is Hououmida Black Phoenix Junmai Ginjo Bottle Warmed and Hiiri. This sake was given to me. Thanks 🙇. It is made from 100% Aizan. The color is clear and the aroma is a fresh sweet floral aroma. The aroma is fresh and sweet with a floral aroma. Very tasty 😋We had it again today with a hot pot 😊Happy 😆. Kobayashi Shuzo is a sake brewery in Oyama City, Tochigi Prefecture. It's a town next to the town where my parents lived until I was in college, though they've moved out now. It's famous for the "Oyama Critique" where Tokugawa Ieyasu decided the Battle of Sekigahara 🤔The drama is also about Ieyasu😅I'll visit next time I have time *.... ^)↝

Today's sake is "Raifuku Junmai Sake Sakura". Slightly cherry color light nigori 😋. Spring is here 😊It's the best time of year for sake 😄I'm so happy 😆Bottle and label are spring-like cherry blossom color👍. The rice used is 100% Gohyakumangoku from Ibaraki, and the sake is junmai namaishu with Sakura yeast. The aroma is almost like cherries? The taste is refreshingly bitter and sweet on the palate. Chikusei is a town near where I used to live when I was in high school...I didn't know about it back then 💦It's very emotional 🤔. I'd like to pair this with spring vegetable tempura 🤩.

Today's sake is "Kozaemon Bizen Omachi Oragami". The color is transparent with a thin layer of lees 😃The aroma is strawberry milk? It's rare 😲 It has a very nice aroma 😀. When you put it in your mouth, it has a strawberry milk-like sweetness with a slight bitterness and a sharp pungency. Very tasty 😋I paired it with a nabe today😊I guess it's almost the end of the nabe season? It's a little cold today with unseasonal thunderstorms, so it's just right 🤔Nabe with sake is great 😁.

Today's sake is "Kankoubai FUYU no Usu Nigori". The white bear label is cute, but I don't know why "FUYU" is in roman characters😅I personally think kanji characters are more gentle 🤔. The color is clear and light nigori with some lees. The aroma is fresh koji aroma...or is it? 🤔It is a mixed sweet-bitter-spicy food sake. I paired it with sea bream sashimi today and it was quite good👍I wonder what I will pair it with tomorrow😆.

Today's sake is Hirotogawa😋. Pure white Junmai nigori sake. The aroma is of lactic acid drink type 🤔The taste is strong sweetness and bitterness on the palate. It is a bit similar to amazake? It is a nigori sake with a strong fizzy taste. Today I paired it with nabe (hot pot)! It's delicious, but personally I think that sake with strong fizz and sweetness would be better with yakitori than nabe 🤔I'll keep half of it and try it with yakitori tomorrow 😀.

Today's sake is "Isshaku Suisei Sasanigori". The color is clear and slightly cloudy with a hint of oriki (ori) 😋The aroma is sweet peach? It has a very nice aroma 👍It has a weak bitterness and sweetness on the palate, followed by a refreshing spiciness. I love this kind of sake 😋🤩I'm so happy! I paired it with Vietnamese style spring rolls today and it went surprisingly well 🤔 Great! This is a drink I want to keep drinking all the time 😄

Activated nigori sake available only at exclusive dealers. It is a nigori sake with an image of a winter landscape with powdery snowflakes dancing in the air. It looks clear in the picture but the next time I see it, it's pure white 😲The bubbles are amazing (surprise!) It looks like amazake 🤩The aroma is fresh and yogurt-like? The aroma is fresh and yogurt-like, and the taste in the mouth is bitter and sour. I thought it might be too carbonated since it was paired with sushi, but it was totally fine (lol). I usually stop at 2 gou of soda, but I drank 1 bottle (4 gou) 😅Dang it 😅.

Junmai-shu made with 100% Hokkaido Ginpu (Ginmai sake) 😋 Nice! It was so cold today that I wanted to drink it hot, but I had it cold! The color is clear and the aroma is like yogurt. The color is clear and the aroma smells like yogurt. Then, a bitter taste, followed by a spicy taste. The label says that the closer it gets to room temperature, the sweeter it tastes. The label says that the flavor develops as it gets closer to room temperature. But it needs to be refrigerated 😅I'll drink the rest at room temperature tomorrow 🤔 but I guess snow is in the forecast for tomorrow 😓.

This is another sake I received, thanks 🙇. The color is clear and the aroma is almost like pineapple 🤔In the mouth it has a refreshing sweetness, a sharp spiciness, and a slight sourness. This is delicious 😀I paired it with sushi today! Well, of course it goes well with sushi😅But...Sushi and Sake is a great combination, but I wonder how it would be with all the sugar 😅But it's good because it's delicious 😅 This is a delicious sake that I would recommend to a wide range of people 😆.

Sake given to me by my sister, thanks! This is a very special sake from a small sake brewery in the smallest town in Shikoku that has been involved in junmai and ginjo-shu brewing since early on. The color is clear and the aroma...what is it? At first I thought it smelled like green plums, but then it started to smell like mountain peaches... 🤔In the mouth, there is a pungent bitterness and a slight sourness. I paired it with steak today and it was very good👍This kind of wine is good with foods that have a strong flavor and fat. I think it would also go well with grilled meat 😋I wonder why you can gradually feel the sweetness after drinking it after a meal 😓.
