Today's sake is "Raifuku Junmai Sake Sakura". Slightly cherry color light nigori 😋.
Spring is here 😊It's the best time of year for sake 😄I'm so happy 😆Bottle and label are spring-like cherry blossom color👍.
The rice used is 100% Gohyakumangoku from Ibaraki, and the sake is junmai namaishu with Sakura yeast. The aroma is almost like cherries? The taste is refreshingly bitter and sweet on the palate.
Chikusei is a town near where I used to live when I was in high school...I didn't know about it back then 💦It's very emotional 🤔.
I'd like to pair this with spring vegetable tempura 🤩.
