I bought the second sake from Iizuka Sake Shop. SP stands for Summer Premium, not Special. I was not sure which one to buy, the stag beetle label or this one, but after listening to the proprietress, I decided to go with this one. It has been a long time since I have had Raifuku, but it is as delicious as ever, with a slight modernity, but still sweet and umami. Well, I have been drinking Shuroku, so I don't feel like it has been that long...

Previously on "The Huaberdashery Channel": I thought I was buying Hanamup. This is the third sake I bought at Izumiya. There were so many other sakes I wanted to try that it was hard to narrow it down, but... It has a pleasant fruity, clear, transparent flavor with a strong sweetness and umami, and I am very glad I bought it. I drank it up quickly. I would like to try another spec if I see it, but I wonder when I will see it again.

Sake #2 purchased at Izumiya: I had to buy Nabeshima because I hadn't seen it since the subtle pre-priced Green Label at the end of last year. They also had that green label, but I had never had this one. It is rather sweet and tasty, no doubt, but I have to admit that it is not as good as I thought it would be, even if I am not sure if it did not go well with my meal and snacks or if I had raised the bar too high. I don't know when I'll get a chance to buy it because I don't have that many opportunities to buy it, but I'd like to revisit it with different specs.

When I visited Izumiya for the first time in about a year, I was troubled by the number of things I wanted to try. After much deliberation, I first chose the Classic Sentori. I wanted to try it at least once before it was gone. I took a sip and found that it had a different lightness from the Modern and the sourness of the Sentori. It is delicious on its own but a bit lonely, so I think it is suitable for a food sake, but this sake, which seems to go with many things, could also be called one of the ultimate food sake (my personal opinion).

When I went out to buy Kaygetsu, which I had tasted last time, it was closed as usual, so I went to Bic Camera to check it out and found the sake I was interested in, so I bought it. It was the first Tokushima sake I had ever tasted, and it had won the gold medal at the Delicious Sake with a Glass of Wine Award 2024. I was expecting a refreshing wine like Kouji, which won the same award. It was delicious, but the sweetness was a bit off my taste buds (I found it a bit bitter), but I got used to it a few days after opening the bottle and it didn't bother me much anymore.

I bought it at Iizuka Sake Shop when I visited Tsuchiura for the first time in about a year since a certain manga event. The love for Raifuku is so strong here that you can find anything you need (except for Raifuku, of course), so if you are ever in the area, be sure to stop by. Unlike the Raifuku I had imagined, this is a dry sparkling sake with a refreshingly dry taste. If you're not careful, you can end up drinking a lot of it. I have to slow down now that I have to take a re-inspection... The reason I visited Tsuchiura was to go to Chiyoda PA on a business trip, but it was tougher than I expected to travel more than 30 minutes by bicycle in this hot weather; It was probably the first time in my life that I felt the danger of heat stroke.

At my usual liquor store. Last year, I passed on the Discovery Series because I would have to drink Kangiku forever, but this year, I decided to try at least one of the four varieties. I wondered what the true value of sake made from rice Fusakogane was. I had a stereotype of Kangiku as being sweet and tasty, but this one has a juicy acidity reminiscent of citrus fruits. I didn't feel the sweetness that much. I would like to try the other ones in the series, but maybe next year? There were no other customers at the time of purchase, so the manager told me a lot about the store. It was especially interesting to hear what he said about the advice he received from Eiko Fuji when the chrysanthemum was not selling well. I guess that's why they don't sell products all year round! I was also curious to know what Kaygetsu tasted like, so I asked them about it and they let me try it. It was delicious, so I will buy some on my next visit.

I bought it together with Genmai. Actually, for a few days after I bought it, I mistakenly thought I was buying Hana Yuu ^^^; I looked up the label and discovered it. The color was quite yellowish, and when I took a sip, I was surprised by its richness and juiciness, which reminded me of plum wine or something. The official website described it as apple juice. To be honest, I didn't like the taste, so I drank it slowly, half a glass every day; Actually, there was another sake I opened before this one, but it had a hole in the stopper and was made last April. When I poured it into a glass, it smelled funny, and when I drank it, it was unusually sour and undrinkable. I hope it won't happen again.

I heard that there was a liquor store nearby that sold Genmai, so I went there to try it out and found that there were no restrictions on purchase, so I bought a bottle. I was very grateful. When I took a sip, I was surprised at how rich, sweet, and juicy it was. I had imagined it to be dry because of its name^-^; it was so dense that I took the time to savor a sip every day, and it was very delicious. I would love to buy another spec if they still sell it. I also bought a cream cheese made with Hakkaisan sake lees at this liquor store. I used it as a side dish for Jusui, and it was really delicious. I would like to buy this again.

I bought it at Isetan in Shinjuku with Yamori. There was a special section and I could tell from the clerk's voice that he wanted to sell it to me, so I bought it without thinking. I had a certain trust that they wouldn't try to sell us something that was not good (no basis). I thought it would not be modern in any way, but in fact I found it to be sweet and tasty, a bit like a classic (just my opinion). If you drink too much, you will feel a little bit of a stench, but in just the right amount, it's totally enjoyable. Thank you very much for the drink!

I bought it at a liquor store that is relatively close by. I really wanted to visit this store to get some Ura-Koshi, which is exclusive to this store, but they didn't have such a thing. I can't come here very often because I have to take the bus from the station, but I would like to visit again. But lately, visiting liquor stores I've never been to is becoming my hobby... It was labeled as sparkling, but unlike my own expectation (like the microbubbles of Tasake), it tasted like nigori sake. This is totally delicious. After all, Yamamoto never misses out, does it? I drank it on my way home from a bike ride to a nearby liquor store (different from this one) in the heat of the day, and it was great.

I bought it at a nearby Daily Yamazaki. I had not been able to pick it up since it was always available, but I finally made up my mind to drink it because I saw Mr. Sakelabo buying it at Tsudanuma Seven. Well, I'm from Chiba, so I had to try it at least once. As it is often described as a "calm chrysanthemum," it doesn't have an intense sweetness, but I can't help but think that this level of sweetness is just right for me at the moment. It is delicious and easy to drink. I also appreciate that it is easy to manage by fire-quenching. The results of the physical examination I had in June showed that I had a problem with my liver, and I will be retested in three months.......

Purchased at Isetan in Shinjuku. I had always wanted to try Tokyo's sake, so when I saw it on the shelves, I had to buy it. It was my first visit to this store and I enjoyed looking at the good selection. However, the staff were very passionate and it was hard to take my time to look around. But that's OK. I drank it without much prior knowledge of what it was like, and found that it did not have a modern feel and was quite sweet. I like Kangiku, so I was totally fine with it, but I think I'm starting to prefer less sweet sake these days. Maybe my tastes are changing. The original reason for my visit to Shinjuku was to see a performance by my friend from junior high school, Kaminarimon Kosukeroku, for the first time in about 10 years. It was quite fun to watch his rakugo performance, which included storytelling, magic tricks, and street performances. I am not familiar with rakugo at all, but it was interesting. I am not familiar with Rakugo at all, but this was also interesting. After the performance, I told the staff what had happened and met the performer himself. It was an unexpected petit reunion, and I felt that it had been a while since I had had a good time from the bottom of my heart.

On my way back from visiting the National Diet Library, I stopped by Kitasenju to purchase some items. It is much smaller than the main store (which I have never been to), but the selection is quite good, and I had quite a bit of trouble deciding what to buy. I was planning to buy some sake here as a gift, and I wanted something fire-brewed, but I was a little disappointed that there were not many items on display at room temperature. The bottle opened without incident despite the warning to open the bottle. It had a modern taste with acidity and was very good, but to be honest, I felt like I was drinking Sengkyo from the middle of the bottle. (This is my personal opinion.)

This was my fourth visit to Bando City for the last day of a manga collaboration event. Since I would not be coming back for a while after this, I decided to buy Shurei, and this time I bought the unfiltered, unpasteurized sake. I also toured the remaining facilities of the Otsuka Sake Brewery, which I had passed over the last time I was here. Looking at the labels that are no longer available to the public, I felt a little sad. It is a fresh version of the Shu-green I bought before, with sweetness and umami, and a bit of bitterness in the aftertaste. It reminds me of Raifuku, so I would like to go buy some more to check it out. I would like to go back to Tsuchiura for some other reason.

When I visited the station, it was open, so I bought some. We tasted about 4 or 5 other brands of sake, which made us lightly intoxicated. I heard a little bit about a certain sake brewery, and I thought their attitude of not pandering to the latest taste was very graceful, but if they kept reducing the number of stones, they would eventually go out of business...or they were willing to do so. It has been 4 months since I last tasted Koshi. It was a bit gassy, sweet, and tasty. I have known Kouji since I was in elementary school when I collected sake lids, but if it had tasted the same as it did back then, I might not have found it tasty. Thanks to the efforts of the sake brewers.

This is the third collaboration sake by SENKYO & SAKELABO. Learning from the lesson learned last time, we tried to make a reservation as soon as possible at the reservation start time, but the number of bottles was limited differently at each store, so we made a reservation for two bottles at Mashidaya in a hurry. This time, there were more stores handling the sake, so there was plenty of room to spare, although the sake seemed to have sold out by the end of the day. The Modern and Kirifuri are good, but I think this collaboration sake is my favorite. It is very satisfying after it goes down your throat after you put it in your mouth. I am happy that I was able to buy two bottles this time so I can still taste it. However, the span between the 2nd I am not sure if the span of time between the 2nd and 3rd bottles is a little too short. I'm grateful for that, though.

Like Blue Label, this one was also purchased at a liquor store in Mito. It was quite hard to bring back two bottles and various souvenirs from Mito. It is very sweet and sour, but I think it is a little too sour. I think it is a little too sour, and I get tired of drinking it. Well, it may be just right because of its small volume. There seems to be a four-pack bottle, but it might be too much for one person to drink... I was able to reserve a bottle of Sentori Hello World this time, too.
