Sweet aroma. Fresh and sweeter than expected. Unique sweetness like candy. Unique but interesting and delicious. The sweetness is like a floppy candy. More fruity than I expected, too. I think the Asahi Nikki Jusui Brewing I drank in the past also had a unique sweetness.

Sakemonogatari in Kansai(*) It is a hiyaoroshi of honjozo with a slightly sweet taste and a sense of grain! It is well balanced, probably because it is a honjozo. I would definitely like to drink it with an appetizer! The rich umami comes in smoothly, and the finish is crisp and tight. Purchased at Yamasho in JR Ashiya station. I mentioned before that this liquor store is based in northern Kyoto and has a wide selection of sake from the Tango area, but they also have Kumi no Ura. It is rather sweet. Muscat and lychee-like flavor. It is fire-brewed but fresh. I'd like to try some of their fresh sake. I'm sure it would be delicious. According to the internet, it's unfiltered raw sake. It's true that it's on the lees for a fire-brewed sake. Sediment is noticeable.

I bought it at a product show the other day. I had never heard of this brand, but I tasted it and liked it. It was 19 degrees, so I drank it lightly on the rocks. I paired it with stewed daikon radish and shellfish sashimi as the cold weather deepened. It was moderately dry and went well with sashimi.

We were told to drink our brewery's sake hot, so we tried heated sake for the first time. It was an aged golden color with an aroma of honey. When I first drank it, I was choked up, but when I regained my breath and drank it, the richness of the sake came through. Unlike the aroma, the spiciness of the wine is more pronounced, but as the temperature drops, the sweetness comes out. I enjoy the change in flavor, and I feel like I don't get drunk at all.

Last week I visited Dewano-Fuji at Hankyu Department Store, but I went to Umemoto Sake-ten in Nishinakajima because I thought I could find more variety at a special distributor. (Note that they have moved from the location shown on the map of Sake-no-wa, and they have a corner bar inside after 4:00 p.m.) I was a bit lost, so I asked the waitress and she let me try a sample. Melon-like fruity sweet taste. Slightly refreshing? It was delicious, but Junmai Arabashiri seemed rarer, so I bought that one 😊.
