This was my first Koganezawa, a gift from someone. It is a Junmai Daiginjo made from Gohyakumangoku, so I had an image that it was quite refreshing, but it tasted just as it should. But it also has a strong umami of rice and is easy to drink without any peculiarities 😆 It is easy to pair with meals and I was off in no time 🤣. It was easy to match with meals and we finished it in no time 🤣.

Last sake I bought last year as a Kumamoto souvenir. If I have a chance to visit Kumamoto again, I would like to visit Aso and Kikuchi area 😌. When opened and poured, it has a sweet aroma like sugar and sugarcane. The mouthfeel is crisp and immediately afterwards has the plumpness of rice plus the sweet and spicy taste of brewer's alcohol. The flavor is stable from start to finish, with a delicious standard taste! The unadorned taste is a perfect accompaniment to a meal 👍. Hakone Drink Comparison Set (2) On March 1, after a year-long event, I went on a trip to Hakone as a way of consolation! The local sake was served to compare with Japanese kaiseki. It was my first time to try Hakonezan! This is the spiciest sake in the group. It is a dry ginjo-shu as you might imagine, but it is moderately rich and very good as a mid-meal drink. Of course, it goes well with ingredients as they are, but it also goes well with dishes that have been added, such as those using dashi (Japanese soup stock)!

Is Hakone Ginjo the name of the brand? However, I am not sure because the name does not come up at all when I looked it up on Google... I haven't had a fire-brewed ginjo-shu in a long time. The ginjo aroma is pleasant. It has an elegant aroma and sharpness, and is the smoothest dry sake of them all. It is very good as a food sake for Japanese food, and goes well with white fish and vegetables. It is also good with sashimi!
