Tenma Taishukai 2024 ④ The day before, I tasted Sakakamatsu from this brewery at a liquor store in Ikuno Ward. He asked me if I was going to the Tenma Sake Festival. I've been to this brewery and bought sake before. I think it was a brewery in Osaka, but closer to Wakayama and near a fishing port. Tokaido Sake Brewery Tour in Spring (3) The last one is Masterpiecea by Laughing Four Seasons. Masterpiece is a sake with the theme of technical study and a retrospective and return to classic ginjo, I tasted it at last year's sake brewery tour and enjoyed it so much that I left without buying it, which I regretted a lot 💧. This year, I was determined to bring it back! This year, I decided to bring it back! Masterpiece has A (Yamadanishiki) and Un (Watabune), and I decided to bring back A this time. I decided to bring A back this time. The color is slightly greenish. The nose has aromas of white peach, pear, melon, muscat-like fruit, lily-like white flowers, bay leaves, and white dumplings. The moment you take a sip, you will be surprised by the smooth, flowing, luscious taste. The fruity, floral aroma has a clear, gentle, full-bodied sweet flavor, and the sweetness is supported by an elongated acidity. The taste is a slow, lingering sweetness, with a greenish bitterness that mingles in the latter half of the taste. The complex sweetness and acidity flow together gracefully and cohesively, just like the name Masterpiece 💕💕. I am glad to have had a chance to taste it again! Purchased at Sake-no-Oyama in Joetsu City in July. I rescued a spring sake that was left behind in the summer. I don't usually drink this brewery, but I picked it up because it is made from 100% Koshitanrei sake produced in Kakizaki. Pouring it into a glass, I noticed that it was slightly colored. The top rise is gentle, but the aroma is of rich rice. Perhaps it is because it was bottled in February, but it seems to have become richer than the original flavor with the passage of time, though not as much as the matured aroma. When you drink it, it has a robust Koshitanrei flavor! There is almost no sweetness, and you can feel the rice straight away. The passage of time also gives the impression that the umami has increased. The alcohol-derived acidity tightens the overall flavor. Since it is unfiltered, it is fresh and easy to drink. When asked what the umami of rice tastes like, this sake is the first to answer. I would like to be the first to offer this sake when asked what the umami of rice tastes like. It is not just sweet and tasty, but tasty and delicious. I have found the next best Koshitanrei sake after Yukihonbai and Kaminari. Koshitanrei is the best!

Hakone Drink Comparison Set (2) On March 1, after a year-long event, I went on a trip to Hakone as a way of consolation! The local sake was served to compare with Japanese kaiseki. It was my first time to try Hakonezan! This is the spiciest sake in the group. It is a dry ginjo-shu as you might imagine, but it is moderately rich and very good as a mid-meal drink. Of course, it goes well with ingredients as they are, but it also goes well with dishes that have been added, such as those using dashi (Japanese soup stock)!
