I was going to start a series of Kijoshu with Pon-chan's recommended yellow Yoshida Kurau, but no matter how hard I looked for it, I finally couldn't get the yellow one, so I'm going straight into the Kijoshu drinking comparison 😅. Today I opened a bottle of Senkyu's Kijoshu 😀. We have a wide variety of sake to compare: Tengu Mai (which we opened earlier) lukewarm, Rebirth and Itsukashi Pink Nigori 😀. The Senkou kijoshu was a bit sweet, but still tasty 😀. I thought Gobashi was pretty sweet too... but the kijoshu was sweeter than that 🤣. Tomorrow, I think I'll have a bottle of sake in between that goes a bit better with kan 🤣.

Final Nigorinpic for the 2nd Nigorinpic I love the concept of Sengoku and this sake was chosen for the second Nigorinpik 😀. We compared the supernatant and the ori-tartered version and both are delicious 😀! The ori-tagashi is more fruity, but both sakes have a hint of Sentori first 😀. I think it's because of the assemblage, the various tastes are mixed together in a good way and the core taste of Sengoku brings it all together 😀. It was a very satisfying sake that was suitable for the end of the Nigorinpik 😀. Among the sakes we compared, I was surprised to find that the Honkin Nigori was more fruity on the second day of opening 😇. I didn't know much about it before, but I think Honkin is a very powerful sake 😀. Now that the Nigorinpic is safely over, I would like to hold a drinking and cheering event tomorrow with today's connection 😀.

Purchased at Imanaka Sake Shop. This is a nama-zake available at Banshu Issen at this time of the year. When the bottle is opened, it makes a nice popping sound. The aroma is not much, but it smells like melon. It is medium-bodied in the mouth. It has the umami of rice. After a little while, the spiciness comes and it goes down your throat in a dry taste. I drank it with motsu nabe (a hot pot of fish and vegetables), but I felt it didn't go well with it. But when I drank it with some salted squid that was on the side, it went very well with it (laugh). It was delicious again today.

I managed to finish work early for the three-day weekend, so I called up Kaorin and went to the starry sky stand at Namba Parks 😀. I was told that there were quite a lot of people there yesterday, so I went at 3pm when the event was about to start and was able to enjoy the sake without incident 😀. We had Tobiroki special junmai, Hakurakusei special junmai, Yokoyama Princess Michiko, and Honorikegetsu pink nigori...all sake is delicious outside ❤️ When we got home, Kaorin and I were wondering what we should drink today... Usually I'm too nervous to open a bottle, but since I'm in a good mood with sake today, I decided to go ahead and open a bottle of the Shinmasa connection... Shinmasa Akizakura (Cosmos) 😀 We opened a bottle of the Shinmasa first to compare the two. We compared it with the previously opened Sanchi no Gononozo and Shinsei no Sanchi (Earth) 😀. The Cosmos has a flowery aroma that smells like a flower when you put your mouth close to the sake 😀. The taste is not as sake-like as Earth and easy to drink, but the flowery aroma is just amazing 😳. The taste, of course, was as good as Earth's. ❤️

I wanted to try it once, the birth soil connection 😀. It's Sansho (Earth) from Sansho 😀. Compared to the Sundo, the Earth was a very strong Sake 😀. But while feeling the solid Sake, I also felt the same fizzing sensation on my tongue as the Sundo, but it didn't ruin the balance of the whole... that is a great perfection by Shinsei... 😳. Of course, it was doubly delicious 😀. Today was the anniversary of my late mother's death 😢. I got a call that she was in critical condition and rushed to my parents' house in Shimonoseki while I asked my wife to register my marriage 😅. When I arrived at my parents' house, I reported to my mother that I had remarried and she told me that she was happy for me 😭. Today, I'd like to offer a toast to my mother to thank her for giving birth to me 🍶.

This week was a really busy week at work😅. I spent so much time packed in the office that I didn't have time to relax and have a drink at night😅. So the wife made a kind suggestion 😀. After working hard until Friday, let's go to Fushimi in Kyoto to compare 18 breweries ‼️😀. She called me on the way home after finishing today's work looking forward to tomorrow 😅. When I got home, my body felt a little hot, so I took my temperature and it was 38 degrees 🤣. Hi, it's decided to have a domestic separation😅. I opened a bottle of this alcohol by myself for the first time in a long time 😀. It was a delicious sake, even if I subtracted the fact that I hadn't had it in a while 😀. I compared it with Hanayuup and Jikin, which I had already opened earlier, but the sweetness on the palate is somewhere between Hanayuup and Jikin... yet it still has its own flavor 😀. It's been a while since I've been able to enjoy a relaxing drink alone 😀. Tomorrow, the wife will be sleeping, so where should I go for fun 😀.

Purchased at Imanaka Sake Shop. It is a new sake with a gaseous taste and, as is typical of Katanozakura, it has a slightly acidic taste and is clean and dry. I sometimes want to drink this kind of sake. It is perfect for today. I had this sake at a sake event and loved it. It does not disappoint. We had it with everyone after New Year's.

The fridge is open! Following yesterday's Hanayuup, we opened a bottle of Senkyoku today 😀. The name is wonderful 😀. Senkou Ippou... it was a delicious sake 😀. Fruity yet clear 😀. Moreover, it has a sweet and delicious deep taste, and just like Hanayuup, it has a core of flavor 😀. As expected from Tsuru no Issho... I couldn't help but take a sip and shut up 😀. A really good sake makes you forget your words the moment you drink it 😀.

For my second bottle this year, I chose a red from the New Year red and white drinking contest...LOVE PLNK from Chiebijin 😀. At first I was thinking of Ine Mankai, but it was too sweet after drinking it in summer 😅. This sake is said to be made with red malted rice, but when I took a sip, it was so delicious and strawberry-like that I thought it might be a strawberry sake 😀. I think this year is going to be a good year as well, starting off with a delicious red and white sake 😀.

Happy New Year 😀 Thank you for warmly welcoming me as a sake newbie last year 😀. This year, we had a sake red and white party at my wife's parents' house (although we just moved and moved up one floor in the same apartment) while having a New Year's dinner together 😀. The white sake was Katsuyama's Shoryu Senzui 😀. I chose this sake because it is the year of the dragon and because it has a lot of pure gold powder dancing on it 😀. But I didn't think much of it from the jacket, but I was surprised at how fruity and delicious it was 😳! I'm glad I chose this sake as my new year's white 😀.

Awamatsuri (3) Today we opened the main sake of this year's Awamatsuri, Flax Cat Sparkling 😀. Ack! Delicious 😀 This is the first time for me to taste the Flax Cat Sparkling, and as everyone has commented, it is really delicious 😀! By the way, the wife's comment was... here we go... this is not sake... it's a superb champagne... 😀 She says it's the best sparkling sake she's ever had 😀. But it's hard to serve the bubbly that's still left 😅 if they say that much.

Bubble Festival (2) Merry Christmas ㊗️ It's the second day of the Awamatsuri and it's Christmas time, and today is my theme sake for this year, Tanaka Rokuugo Sparkling... Awamatanaka 😀! The alcohol content is a bit low at 13 degrees, but it was so robust and delicious that I didn't mind at all 😀. I could feel the bubbly and fizzy feeling of the bubbles while retaining the taste of the Tanaka Rokuugo that I had been drinking until now 😀. However, it's a good thing that I emptied it all at once this time without comparing it with other sakes, but if I had left it until tomorrow, it would probably lose its fizzy feeling 😀.

Today we opened 2 bottles of Sentori Snowball all at once 😀 This one is a bit quieter than UA 😀. This one is a little quieter than UA 😀. Still, the corkage was a bit like a pop-pop-pop, so it ended up being auto-stirred 😅. I guess it's the same with automatic stirring even if there's a difference between fine or lumpy 😀. Maybe it's because the regular snowball has a twist on the stopper 😀. The difference in taste is so small that you have to put the two bottles side by side to tell the difference 😀 They are quintessential siblings 😀. If I had to choose which one I prefer the UA more, but I think that's just the difference in the schwag I like 😀.

In the last of the Snowman drinking series, we opened both UA Snowman and Sentori Snowman at once and compared them 😀 The UA Snowman was opened carefully, but it almost blew up and caused a catastrophe 😀. Today's snowman is Amabuki 😀. Amabuki is a Saga sake famous for its fruity taste. I've had many Saga sake like Mae, Shichida and Nabeshima, but this is my first time to try Amabuki 😀. It was really fruity and tasty sake, just as the rumors say 😀. Not that it has anything to do with my impression of the sake, but my wife was taking a lot of pictures of Amabuki's snowman, saying that Amabuki's snowman has the cutest face among all the snowmen she collected this time 😅.

Today's choice is Fuyuhiguma, an entry from Hokkaido. The main theme of this year's event, new sake and nigori 😀. When I was looking for a sake that matched it, I saw the jacket and bought it immediately 😅. It was good that I bought it, but I didn't have an idea of what it tasted like, so I waited for the bottle to open. I was waiting for the first time to open the bottle when bouken, a friend of mine from Sake-no-wa, commented that he had also bought the jacket and was happy with it 😀 I opened the bottle today with peace of mind. It was a little different from the new sake light nigori I've had so far, not only sweet, but it had a firm sweetness, but it had a good bone structure 😀. As expected, Sake-no-wa's information is reliable 😀. I compared it with Tanaka Rokugo, Yokoyama and Kido's new sake, but I can't rate them because they all have their own character and are delicious 😅.

I got a call from the store I mentioned before, which I sometimes visit and have won the right to sell Jikin by lottery three times in a row, and I won the right to sell Jikin by lottery for the fourth time in a row 😀. I had given up on drinking this year's special Junmai nigori sake 😀. The last sake of the New Sake & Nigori Tournament has been decided 😀. Today, in connection with Nagasaki, we had a new sake from Yokoyama 😀. Before I started Sake-no-wa, I only had an image of Saga as the only Sake in Kyushu, but recently I realized that there are a lot of good Sake in Kyushu 😀. Of course, this is my first time to try Iki's sake 😅. We compared Senkou Momiji and Hiran light nigori 😀. Yokoyama is probably classified as a sweet sake, but I had the impression that it was very well balanced and neither sweet nor dry 😀. My wife, who is gradually becoming more and more fond of dry sake, was pleased that it was not too sweet 😀. But today's sake comparison also resulted in the result that it was hard to choose one over the other 😅.

Tonight, new sake light nigori from Hiran 😀! The first week in Japan, I heard about Hiran kijoshu from a friend of mine in Sakewa and cleared Nagasaki with my first Hiran kijoshu 😀. For the second week, I wanted to clear Hiran with a regular sake, so I chose this one 😀. For the comparison, we compared the new Banshu Issen light nigori and Senkyu's UA Momiji and Daimine three-grain light nigori, which had been opened earlier 😀. With a lineup like this, it's hard to decide which is the best 😅. Of course they are delicious, but each of them has its own strong taste assertion and they are all great 😀. Sorry I can only comment that they are all delicious in the end 😅.

I went walking in Asuka-ji in late autumn on Sunday, and I remembered a maple tree that I still kept in the fridge carefully at home 😀. It is a UA maple with red leaves, just like the red maple I saw in Nara in late autumn 😀. The taste is very clear after one sip, but the acidity that lingers on the palate is indeed Senkou 😀 Delicious 😀. Today's new sake light nigori is a bit of a change of course, this low alcohol sake 😀. The wife took a sip and said the usual line...this is not sake ❗️ She says it's not sake, even though it's low alcohol it's still a great sake 😅. But it's definitely delicious 😀 Green apple maybe⁉️ Today's comparison is Sono Kangiku and Banshu Issen nigori... my wife who likes sour and carbonated sake likes this one too 😀. I think I prefer the melon soda type Banshu Issei nigori 😀. But to be honest, they are all delicious sakes, so it's hard to choose one over the other 😅.
