Report on the SAKEWA Kansai Chapter 2024 New Year's Party🔟. Next up was Sogen. Since I had not been able to drink enough Ishikawa sake since the earthquake at the beginning of the year, I was grateful to have it. It had a good balance of sweetness and umami, with a high nutty aroma and solid taste🥜. As the sake was packed during the blackout, it was a memorable drink.

SAKEWA Kansai Chapter 2024 New Year's Party Report: 9️⃣ After a seat change time around here, we decided to have some makgeolli that Nemuchi-san had selected from the refrigerated case🥃. The label is loose for Tate-no-kawa, and is it in line with the recent Showa-retro boom? I thought it would taste rich, but it was a bit sweet and sour and felt refreshing in my mouth💡.

SAKEWA Kansai Chapter 2024 New Year's Party Report: 8️⃣ I often see it but never drank it 🌕🌕 after the rain I didn't know it was the #1 Hiroshima sake to begin with💧. It has a melon-like aroma and a bit of sweetness that flows smoothly. It says it's super dry, but it's not chipper or spicy, it's soft to the touch and easy to drink👍.

SAKEWA Kansai Chapter 2024 New Year's Party Report: 7️⃣ Next is Japan's driest? s Yamaboshi. When it gets "super" it's like a rice shochu? I imagined it would be like rice shochu, but I was wrong. It smells like magic ink and flows smoothly on the tongue with a tangy 💨 I was surprised by the different aroma from what I expected. The aroma is sticky, so it would go well with fried food 💡.

The meeting with Mr. Gula ⑰. I think it was the one that 🐰 rabbit asked for. I think this is the second time since Usagi-san let me taste it last year at the brewery. It's spicy but sharp and has a really nice sharpness, so it's gone from my mouth before I know it. If I were to drink it myself, I'd say it's about the right level of super-hot. I didn't drink it myself, but there were others who drank Tengu Mai, Takachiyo, Takeyuki, Shichu, Ame no Tsuki, Himezen, Garakudai, Tsukiyama, Toyo Bijin, Tenka, etc. 😊.

The meeting with Mr. Gula ⑯. Choice of sake for heating and room temperature There is a liquor store that sells sake, but they only sell sake bottles. The liquor store itself sells only sake bottles 😅. Junmai Daiginjo specs, but they dare to label it as Junmai. The fact that it's raw with no carbon filtration on the back is also surprising. The rice is Miyamanishiki, so I have high expectations 😆. It's a little refreshing, but fruity and fruity. It's spicy, but with a gentle sweetness. I was surprised because I didn't expect this type of sake. The meeting with Mr. Gura (15) I know Bon is delicious, but I tend to put it off because it's easy to get😅. I think we'll be drinking it again for the first time in about 2 years. It's so refreshing and clean! I think it's a standard sake of Bon, but it's gorgeous and has a good balance of sweet, spicy, and acidic tastes. The yeast is KZ10, an in-house yeast. It's a little less impressive than some of the other sakes we drank that day, but it's a standard sake for evening drinking, so I guess it's designed to have that kind of quality. At 2,750 yen per bottle, it's a very good value for money sake!

The meeting with Mr. Gula ⑭ Rumiko's sake, which I've avoided in the past because I drank RIE STYLE and Ei from the same brewery and found them to be quite dry. It's like a summer sake made by adding water to unfiltered unpasteurized sake. This is my first Rumiko sake, but I think it's too dry and not enough for me... Also, this sake is too hard for me... I'm not going to drink Rumiko's sake at home anymore 🙄.

SAKEWA Kansai Chapter 2024 New Year's Party Report: 6️⃣ Next is Daishinshu, a famous but only occasional drink. I thought it would flow like water because it's a super dry Jun Dai, but it wasn't. It was like a refreshing muscat water, aromatic and sweet at the same time, and disappeared in a flash. Not so much sweetness, but the aroma was strong🍇.

The meeting with Mr. Gula ⑬ I've had 18-mori before, but this is my first time to drink Tagaji. And it is a test brew of hiragana. It is a gorgeous and quite sweet sake. A little dry and sweet. It must have been gassy when it was freshly opened. It's a blend of several yeasts, with a bit of aromatic yeast.

The Party Surrounding Mr. Gura (⑫) Do you like Osaka? It's been a long time since I drank Oubai. Nemuchi-san and Sakeran-san's table drank first and it was well-received, so I drank it. It has a refreshing feeling like muscat and melon, but it's rich and I think it's pretty good.

The party with Mr. Gura (11) I've had it in the past, but it's been a long time since I've had it. We shared some of the sake that the table next to us had ordered! I didn't take any pictures, so I had to borrow a picture taken by Umaisan! It's a summer sake, but it's very drinkable and juicy sweet! It has just the right amount of bitterness and sharpness, making it an ideal summer sake for me personally! I think I prefer this one to the Yokoyama Gojuaiyama I drank the other day because it is sweeter!

Gura-san's party (8) We drank this kind of sake because there are some perverted sake freaks. I don't think aged sake is a perverted sake but... I like strange kinds of drinks😅 Aged at room temperature for 20 years😳 It didn't have a front label on it😅 The color is dark because it's aged at room temperature. It tastes surprisingly beautiful. It's rich and seems to go well with ice cream and Japanese sweets. I have a feeling Hirupeko and pyonpyon will like it🤔.

The meeting with Mr. Gura (7) I remember tasting this at last year's traveling SAKE. Thick like makgeolli or doburoku. It's thick and gassy. It's about 20 degrees Celsius, so a dangerous one. I felt it had a pretty strong alsobe feeling. Fire-brewed nigori is easier to drink. I've been drinking Tochigi Ai🥰 since March.

The meeting with Mr. Gura (6) Natsu Jun reminds me of Jun Natsukawa, a gradol 😆. I think I said it before and I think someone else said it too 🙄. It's Nanada's summer sake. I'm not an active summer sake drinker, so this is my first time drinking it! It's refreshing and a little muscat-like. Well, it tastes good, but is it a little too refreshing for me? I like summer sake like Yamori. I was taking pictures of the back label, and there was silent pressure to take pictures of the food too 🤣.

The meeting with Mr. Gura (5) Hana Yuu, which we don't often have a chance to drink because it is basically a bottle of sake. It has a rich peachy sweetness. But it is light and refreshing. I would like a little more umami. I didn't feel any pungency though, so it might be easy to drink. I think I prefer Dewa Sanzai.

The meeting with Mr. Gura (4) Mr. Rainfall, who seems to be in a lot of trouble. The sake was a limited edition sake from SakeBase, a liquor store in Chiba, Japan. SakeBase also has a special order of Kaze no Mori, which is awesome! Although the rice is polished to 90%, it has a clean taste and is easy to drink. It tastes sweet and sour with a lactic acidity.
