Good evening, this is the second one for the New Year, and again, as if I'm a bedtime story, here's one from over a year ago: 💁‍♂️ Shinshu Turtle Age Hexagon 2023✨🐢✨ Lot No 1244/1456 I've been putting the flagship sake of the same brewery away for a while now, but I'll drink it on New Year's Day 🤗. It will be my first Hexagon as I have probably never had it outside 😉I can't stop excited ☺️ This one is made with 100% Yamadanishiki from outside of the prefecture. It has a gorgeous ginjo aroma of white peach and melon. The taste has a nice acidity that is typical of Shinshu Kamerei, but at the same time it has a viscous, elegant sweetness like a fruit nectar 😋😋😋 (I think I prefer this one... 🥰). The flagship of Shinshu Kamerei is a must 🤩🤩.

The opening is done quietly 🫡 When you pour it into the sake cup, the bubbles like light snow rise and disappear, so you can feel the wintery atmosphere: ⛄️☁️ The aroma is tachi-koso, but the gas is strong, so there is no old smell at all. It has a thin cemetery aroma, nuts, and lemon herb freshness. When you put it in your mouth, the gas pops on your tongue and it is pleasant. It is like a luxurious lemon sour and the dryness of the aftertaste is unbearable and delicious 😋😋😋😋😋😋. I'll gradually update this page with more New Year-like drinks 🙌!

Tonight is the last day of the year and I'm going home and drinking this sake 🙌 Jyushidai Honmaru Hiden Tamagase 2022BY✨ We're having J4D on the last day of the year 😊. I drank a lot of sake this year, but I'm sure my liver will be fine and I'll be able to greet the new year without any problems 😆. Now, this one has been laid down for a little less than 2 years due to a wasting disease, but the aroma is mild with hints of white peach and muscat. The rice sweetness and beautiful acidity on the palate are at a level that makes it hard to believe it is an entry-level sake 😵😵😋😋😋😋😋😋😋. Happy drunken New Year to everyone at Sake-no-wa 🎍.

Tonight, I'm opening my second bottle after yesterday🍶. Another one that has been laid up for about a year and a half: 💁‍♂️ Collage Junmai Ginjo Natsugin Usu Nigori 2022BY✨ After the recent Oragami lot difference, I would like to drink the Natsugin Usugori ☺️ The aroma is not so strong, probably because it is fired. It has a hint of clear melon scent. The sake has no gassy feeling, but it has a strong acidity and a moderate sweetness, with a dry, refreshing aftertaste that is easy to drink and delicious. After the light nigori, there is no major change, but the bitterness has been added and the quality of the sake has become more mature 😊.

Tonight, Hirotogawa is too good to open a second bottle: 💁‍♂️ Senkori ichikkou orikagarami 2022BY✨ Another gem that has been aged for 2 years without following the brewer's and liquor store's instructions😅. The aroma is a bit of an old man's smell 😅😅In the mouth, the acidity is strong, but the taste is matured like honey or pudding caramel 🍯.

Tonight, I've been working on my guessing game for two nights in a row, so my posting has been delayed, but I'm opening this one, which I'm not exaggerating when I say it's the real medalist of the muddylympics: 💁‍♂️ Hirotogawa Junmai Nigori Nama Sake 2024BY✨ The difficulty of obtaining it has increased dramatically over the years and this time we managed to capture it again🕸️😅 It was quiet when we opened the bottle as it had been resting for a little while. The aroma is sweet and full like freshly cooked rice, with melon fruitiness and yogurt lactic acidity 😙 On the palate, the gentle sweetness comes in with a tingling stimulation, and then the muscular spicy bitterness becomes dominant, The taste is so delicious that it makes you smile 😋😋😋😋😋😋. I got the impression that the creaminess and bitterness increased after mixing the lees 🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴. This year's Junmai Nigori Nama was also at the winning level 🏆🥇🏆🥇.

Tonight, I'll open a bottle of sake as a small reward for finishing work a day early this year 🤗 I've already posted a different brand from the same brewery, but this is surprisingly my first time posting this classic sake: 💁‍♂️ HIROKI Junmai Ginjo 2022BY✨ I've been waiting for 2 years to drink it because of the "too good to waste" disease ☺️ but I'm taking it easy because it's fire-infused, so I'll drink it and see how it goes. The aroma is clear and classic, with herbal and chemically-inspired aromas. When you take it into your mouth, it has a deep sweetness and acidity as if it is nestled in without any clinging or self-assertion, followed by a soft rice flavor and finishes with a crisp dryness, but you will not get tired of drinking it, so another sip and more sips will follow 😋😋😋. I would like to try other brands (it's just the season for Nama Sake), but they are hard to find, so I wonder when I will be able to drink them at home again 🤣.

Tonight is Merry Christmas🎄🎅, so here is a sticky drink 💁. AKABU SNOW XMAS 2024 ✨🎄🎅. It's become a seasonal drink, but I wanted to taste it again this year, and now that I've procured it, I'm going to drink it 🤗. The bottle opened easily and quietly. ☺️ If you start from the top, there is not much gas when you pour it into the sake cup. The aroma is clear and thin, with hints of pear and muscat. In the mouth, there is a very slight bubbling, with a good amount of fruity sweetness while maintaining a strong acidity. The acidity is firm with just the right amount of fruity sweetness, but the second half has a mature, full, bitter dryness that will send you into a devil-may-care repeat mode 🤩. The creaminess is enhanced when mixed with lees 💪. This year's SNOW was also delicious 😄

Tonight, Shinshu Kamerei was so good that I opened this bottle of Ohatsu-san as a second bottle in a hurry: 💁‍♂️ Saku-no-hana, hand-packed and directly pumped, made with rice grown in our own rice paddies SPEC-D 2024BY✨. I was attracted by the unfiltered direct pumping of Hitogokochi, which is my favorite sake rice 😅 The aroma has a clear and light citrus and graininess that is typical of Hitogokochi. The aroma is clear and light, with a hint of citrus and graininess, as is typical of Hitogokochi. The mouthfeel is pleasant with chirichiri-gas and clear acidity, and the sweet and delicious fullness of the rice is quickly followed by a bitter dryness that is easy to drink and delicious 😋😋😋😋. I am impressed by the variety of delicious Shinshu sake. ☺️

Tonight, I'm exhausted from the gym, but I'd like to get pumped up with this drink: 💁‍♂️ Shinshu Kamerei Noto Yumemizuho ✨🐢. This is a bottle brewed with rice from the Kazuma Sake Brewery 😊 From the standing aroma, it has a clear greenish wild grass and soft graininess. When you take a sip, unlike the usual intense sweet and sour fruity flavor, the sweetness and sourness with a gentle ripeness like strawberries spread like a sinking feeling in your body. The latter half of the sake has a dry, neat and cohesive quality with a firm bitterness and alcohol dryness. Very delicious and I can't stop drinking more 😋😋😋😋😋😋.

Tonight is the start of Kitchin Drinker with a leisurely weekend to prepare a quick dinner 🤣. The muddy pickings continue, and while Masayo-san was delicious the other day, I'm going to drink my brother's 1.5 year aged one for good measure 💁‍♂️ Abe x Tatsumi Seishukudo direct pumped sake orikagarami 2023✨. This is a straight draft sake, also known as Abe White. The bottle has a sticker on it to warn people to be careful when opening the bottle because it is fermenting in the bottle. ⤴️ But when I was comfortable storing it vertically in a cool place for a long time, as soon as I removed the metal fittings, it exploded 💥 Oh, no 😅 I thought, but the metal fittings caught the stopper nicely😌 No spills, just surprised, but 😵 But the bottle is automatically agitated to keep the bottle on the bottom lees. But inside the bottle, the lees at the bottom of the bottle rose up with automatic stirring and looked like dancing snow ❄️. I enjoyed the sudden taste 😊. When I poured it into the sake cup, bubbles so vigorous you'd think it was sparkling spread across the surface and disappeared 🫧🫧🫧🫧 The standing aroma is a little sweet and juicy, like melon or pear🍈🍐. It has a tingling sensation of bubbles popping on the tongue and a sweet and delicious taste of gentle rice and lactic acid, but it has a dry sake quality and a great lightness, probably because it is a sake with a raw yeast base, which is very delicious 😋😋😋😋. It was a gem worthy of Masayo's Aniki 💮😋😋😋.

Tonight I would like to drink Masayo, my bikini 🤗. Gagakuyo - Hiwa - Nigori 2023BY✨ The taste is clear with just the right amount of acidity and sweetness from the rice, and the finish is crisp and delicious 😋😋😋😋😋😋. When mixed on the lees, the lactic acidity and creaminess increases, making it even more delicious 😋😋😋. I was satisfied with Masayo this time ☺️

Tonight, this will be another long time since I've been to the brewery: 💁‍♂️ Kawatsuru Olive Active Nigori Nama Sake 2024BY🫒🫧. It's the season for muddy nipples, and since Sanuki Kuraudai is quite sweet, I decided to try this one 🫧. There was a bottle opening explosion💥 around the neck, but it opened without a hitch. ☺️ The top clearings were also removed cleanly, so when I poured it into the sake cup, many bubbles were rising🫧🫧🫧🫧 The color is clear with a very light whitish cloudiness. The aroma is lactic and olive, but the sweet and sour taste of Japanese pear is more memorable. When you put it in your mouth, you can feel the gas bursting on your tongue, and the finish is crisp and very delicious 😋😋😋. When mixed with lees, you can taste more olive 🫒ness and bitterness, which is also good 👍.

Good evening, this is my second post. The first lot of the season has been released, but I've been sleeping on this one from three seasons ago, as usual, here 💁‍♂️ Sancho Hozu 2021 (Gonoho Brewery) ✨ I'm surprised I didn't realize it had been sitting for over 3 seasons 😱. From the standing aroma, it smells like a well aged aroma😅 (not in a bad way, but it turns into sweet caramel and roasted coffee) and the taste is a concentrated sweet chocolate 🍫 and pudding 🍮 with a good amount of gas 😆. I learned once again that I should drink the sake as soon as possible and not be too sick of wasting it 😓.

Good evening, I posted a little while ago about a different brand of sake brewery: 💁‍♂️ Nozomu Nozomu, Junmai Akita Sake Komachi, Unfiltered, Bottle Heated and Fired, 2023BY✨. It's from a brewery in Tochigi, but I'm not sure if it's a respect for Akita sake or not, but I'll drink it without worrying 😊. The nose has a mild graininess and a slight sourness from the sake brewing process. In the mouth, it's delicious 😋😋😋😋😋😋 The rough dryness of the sake aftertaste is also good 👍.

Good evening, this is my first series of drinking at home, but I bought this one 💁‍♂️ because it was so good when I went out for a drink a while ago. Kamo Kanehide Special Junmai 13 Hi-iri 2024BY✨ This bottle has a low alcohol content of 13 degrees Celsius even though it is a pure sake. From the standing aroma, it has a gentle yet refreshing impression of weak muscat and minty herbs: ☺️ When you put it in your mouth, you can feel the chili on the tip of your tongue, but the dryness of the special junmai from the firm acidity, fruity sweetness and umami accentuates the sharpness of the back end, which I really like 😋😋😋😋. I don't know the sake rice, but since it is from Hiroshima, is it Hachitan or Senbon? Or Yamada? I'm trying to figure it out, but I get the impression that it is similar to Shinshu Kamerei Junmai Hitogokotsuki and will be a regular sake in our house 😊.

Good evening, this is the wrong lot of this one that I had just uploaded a photo of ahead of time: 💁‍♂️ Collage Junmai Ginjo Orikagarami San Namaishu 2022BY The first lot is the Sherlock ORIGARUMI Sanshu 😅 I don't have the palate to tell the difference between the lots, but the aroma is a little matured. The top clearness has a dense sweet attack, but it tastes more like pear than melon 🍐. When the lees are involved, the milky and silky taste is added, like a café latte or chocolate latte 🥺 This is delicious 😋😋😋😋.

Tonight, I'm opening an additional bottle of this one as the sun has been drinking it up so quickly: 💁‍♂️ Sentori Modern Zero 2024BY✨ It's a traditional classic and modern after renewal to the Edo style of brewing. ☺️ It will be a 100% Yamada-Nishiki Nama-Hashimoto unfiltered unpasteurized sake from Domaine Sakura. From the standing aroma, there is no strong aroma but a thin lactic acid aroma and banana aroma. When you put it in your mouth, you can feel the pleasant acidity and roundness of rice and lactic acidity on your tongue 😋😋😋😋. I wanted to compare it with the old version classic and modern but I wonder if it's available anymore 🤔.

Good evening, I guess it's been a while since I've been there, but here's a collaboration sake from this brewery: 💁‍♂️ Nichinichi Homasu 2023BY✨ This one is made with Hohomasu from Hananaka-san, who brews sansho in Kumamoto. I'm getting excited whether I like it or not. ⤴️ The bottle is quite gassy and nice when opened 😊 When poured into the sake cup, it has petit bubbles🫧🫧🫧🫧 Standing aroma is near odorless with a slight herbal, bluish nuance. In the mouth, it is a perfect adult cider 🥤 The gas, acidity, gentle sweetness like pear or apple, and bitterness and sharpness on the back end are in perfect harmony and the sake goes on and on 😋😋😋💮 It was delicious 💮💮.
