We learned of the store's existence through an Internet search and made a detour to visit. Among the many sakes available, we chose this brand, which is not sold in the neighborhood. When the bottle was opened, it had a fruity aroma. In the mouth, it had a chili-like flavor, with a rich sweetness and a good acidity. It was gorgeous and delicious, and I would like to drink a different sake rice. We also had a comparison of the 16th generation Kuroemon sake. All were delicious, but the Omachi was my favorite of the three.

I went out to the liquor store to stock up on summer sake. I had a hard time deciding, but I chose Ugo no Tsuki, my first Hiroshima sake. When I opened the bottle, I noticed a faint aroma of white grapes? The aroma of white grapes? It was perfectly balanced, refreshing and delicious. I thought it was perfect for summer and easy to pair with meals.

I found an unfamiliar sake at a liquor store I sometimes stop by. It was my first Okayama sake. The bottle was opened with no problem, although there was a warning about opening the bottle. The aroma was a little zingy. When I took a sip, I felt some chili, the acidity was assertive, and finally, the alcohol left my nose. The taste is different from my taste, so I will not repeat it.

On the way to the store, I found a liquor store! I looked in the store and saw a hard-to-find brand of Nabeshima sitting there, so I immediately bought it. The bottle was opened with caution, so we opened it carefully. The aroma was mild, and the first sip had a chili-like flavor. The sweetness and acidity are moderate, and the rice flavor and moderate bitterness finish it off, which I liked. It is also good value for money. If I have a chance, I would like to drink the sparkling label.

I went to a store looking for summer sake and bought this one that caught my eye. It was my first Nara sake. When I opened the bottle, the aroma was mild and the first sip gave me a chilli feeling. It is fresh and has a good balance of sweetness, sourness, and bitterness. I think it is suitable as a food sake.

Sogapère et Fis is a hard-to-find brand. I had been saving it for a special occasion, but when the expiration date approached, I opened the bottle in a hurry. The aroma was faint, and when I took a sip, I felt a unique and indescribable sourness. It may be addictive. If I have a chance, I would like to drink another yeast. If I can buy it...

First Gifu sake. When the bottle was opened, the aroma was faintly muscat. The alcohol content is 14.5 degrees and it is slightly light. The sweetness, acidity, and bitterness are not too assertive, making it easy to drink.

For the AQE2025 collaboration, I chose Toyobai to accompany the rice wine. I had never seen it on the store shelves. When the bottle was opened, there was no hint of chili, and a faint aroma of pear. When you take a sip, the sweetness is subdued, and there is a bitter, alty taste with a long aftertaste. I thought it was a hard-core sake that was not influenced by the current trends.

Tasake is not often available, but I was able to purchase the AQE collaboration sake. The aroma was faintly apple, or maybe pear. It had a strong sweet and umami flavor, and because of the high alcohol content (17%), it tasted very doshiri. I have another bottle of another collaboration sake to compare.

My first Aomori sake. I tried something a little different since I have been drinking a lot of standard sake recently. This sake was brewed with malic acid yeast. The aroma was mild, and when you sipped it, you could taste the umami of rice, followed by apple flavor that gently enveloped you.

My first Kyoto sake. I chose Sawaya-Matsumoto's Mori-ba-ri Gohyakumangoku, which I had been curious about. I opened the bottle with a splash. The aroma was slightly citrusy. One sip and it was delicious 😋. It has a chili-like flavor, with an elegant sweetness and a refreshing taste. It seems to go well with Japanese food. It exceeded my expectations and the price was reasonable.

I tried a basic junmai sake from Akabu, which was often recommended at Sake-no-wa. This is my first Iwate sake. The aroma was not strong, and none of the flavors (sweet, spicy, bitter, or umami) stood out, and after swallowing, I occasionally felt alcohol. It must be well-balanced. Although Akabu is a very popular sake, I was not impressed beyond my expectations. Next time, I will aim for junmai ginjo-shu or better.

My first Toyama sake. Hachitan Nishiki from Hiroshima and the sunset at Miyajima, the jacket is beautiful and perfect. You can feel the respect for Hiroshima. The taste is also unquestionable. It was delicious, with a slight gasiness and sweetness that spread to the palate, followed by acidity.
