. The second sake I bought at Hakurei Brewery. This sake won the gold medal in 2023 at the [Feminaries World Wine Competition], selected by "female" wine experts from around the world. It is a very sweet sake with a minus 20 degree Celsius! It certainly has a gentle taste that can be perceived as white grape juice, and I can understand why it won the award. When we spoke with the brewery, they told us that they produced a few bottles the first year, but they sold out quickly and sold out the next year as well, so they made more this year. It is easy to drink for sake beginners, and for lovers of umami sake, it is easy to drink as a food sake. The clear, sweet flavor is very tasty during this hot and humid season!

. . Koda Premium Unfiltered Nama sake from Hakurei Shuzo! It was hot again today! I bought this at the Hakurei Shuzo brewery in Maizuru. It is refreshing and citrusy on this hot summer day. I drink it on the rocks, as it has the punch of unfiltered raw sake. I bought other sake as well and will review them again.

. Toichi's raw sake. It has a pleasant fruity mouthfeel, yet firm. The final aftertaste is a little tangy, making it a long sip of sake that can be enjoyed all the way through to the end. Serve with homemade taco rice.

Kido's (Kid's) summer gale at ‼️ On a steamy, rainy day like today, I'm in the mood for a refreshing drink, so this is exactly what I'm looking for, a light gale that runs through my mouth like a gale. While it has a slightly tangy mouthfeel, the tangy acidity rises to the back of the mouth and the aftertaste quickly recedes, making it very easy to drink. ‼️ This looks good as a light main course.

. . Eikun's Nama sake! It is a really well-balanced, lovely sake, very full, with depth and umami. I can drink it all the time. I have to work tomorrow morning, so I will enjoy it over the weekend with a little moderation. I drank it at the store run by Saito Shuzo (the brewery) before, but today I bought it and drank it at home. It is really delicious.

. . Shirokiku Honey Trap from Shirasugi Shuzo! I've had Shirokiku many times, but this Honey Trap is the best of the bunch, I've never had it before. It is refreshing, sweet, grapey, fruity, with a sizzling, slightly fizzy, complex aftertaste that is quite a nice balance. It is a good drink for a slightly humid day like today! It was truly a honey trap that I fell for! I paired it with dried sparkling firefly squid and dumplings that I received as a tax-deductible gift from my hometown.

. Biwako no Whale! It is a raw sake. It is very fruity and very flavorful. The taste is so attractive that you will want to drink as many glasses as possible! At the legendary Izakaya Kamima in Kyoto. We had tempura and sea urchin for entrée! We had a great time drinking with the manager!

. . It was a challenging day of business travel in the wake of the typhoon. I got home safe and sound, so I had a light tired sake from Fukuoka that I had picked up on my business trip in February. The moment I opened the bottle, the cork blew out! and the cork blew out! 😊. It is a sparkling sake with that much oomph. It has a robust flavor with a clean aftertaste that makes it easy to drink in gulps. I will be careful not to drink too much and enjoy my Saturday night on the weekend!
