A light and dry, with a clean finish. Pretty good Food Sake, pairing well with Kara-age, kimchi and it even amplifies the sweetness of fresh corn. I hope to find this Sake again. 2025/08/11

仙禽 かぶとむし 無濾過 生原酒 Senkin Kabutomushi Muroka Nama Genshu 精米歩合 麹米 50% 掛米 60% アルコール 14% Seimaibuai Kojimai 50% Kakemai 60% Alcohol 14% Initially flavor is fruity with a mildly tangy, yoghurt finish. Kind of refreshing to drink on its own lightly chilled. edamame and fresh corn cut down the sake’s tanginess. Some sashimi like Ikura highlights the tanginess. Surprisingly good match with dessert (fresh peaches and おはぎ)

上川大雪 カレー Kamikawa with Curry 精米歩合 不明 アルコール 15% Ricey aroma. Initial flavor is Mild, slightly heavy body that coats my tongue. Drinking this with curry, the sake does a good job mellowing the (Indian) curry’s spiciness. Maybe next time I can order really spicy curry. It’s a good sake, I’d like to try it another time with Thai curry. I didn’t realize with the first glass but this Sake is actually usu-nigori. Mixing it better makes the Sake a little sweeter and even stronger against spiciness.

Mild fruity and floral flavor Finishes with an acidic sting This is #2 of a two bottle set. Much more mellow than bottle #1 we drank in February. Dominates but doesn’t overwhelm (supermarket) sushi. 十勝 特別純米 辛口 Tokachi Tokubetsu Junmai Karakuchi 精米歩合 60% アルコール 16% Seimaibuai 60% Alcohol 16% 2025/07/06 Drinking at room temperature. Nice and dry but with silky smooth finish. Aftertaste is mildly sweet Maybe not a good partner with corn, the corn 🌽 flattens the sakes flavor.

Well, it has a sake degree of +16, and I can feel the creator's care in its mild and thick taste. Distinctly Rice fragrance as soon as I opened the bottle. Oh very tangy and acidic initially but has a dry finish.

Came back to my SIL’s house (栃木県出身) for some sake with snacks. This is so much better! Yuto is delicious for sipping and also great with salty senbei or fresh strawberries 🍓 Sugita Shuzo is her “neighborhood Kura”, I hope she gets more the next time she goes to Tochigi.

Very mild flavored. In my opinion, maybe not a good match for Yakitori. So far, I’m a bit disappointed with Ranman. The three that I tried tonight all have been “low impact”. I’ll have to try Ranman a different day with different food.
