This is the sake that got me hooked on sake. I often buy Mita because it is easy to find in Tochigi and it makes a great souvenir. It's also very cost-effective, tasty, and easy to pair with food. I buy it at Shimadaya in Utsunomiya Station.

I had not bought it before and had never drunk it, but on my way home I saw it at Omiya station and bought it because it was cheap. It was amber in color with a caramel-like flavor and a good taste of rice. Next time, I would like to drink nigori.

On a business trip, I stopped by the Harukawa Sake Shop in front of Takasaki Station to make a purchase. They recommended a new brand from Shibasaki Shuzo. Twice-hot, the aroma is subdued but fruity. Amber in color but modern in taste.

I bought Tenbi for the first time when I saw it at Masudaya. I have never had anything from the famous Toji's era, but it was delicious. The aroma is subdued, and although it has a strong alu feel, it has a nice sharpness with a slight gassiness.

First time, Mimuro Cedar. Dioavita. This is a delicious sake that lives up to its reputation. It has a refreshing ginjo aroma and a depth of flavor and milky taste that you would not expect from a low-alcohol sake. I want to make it my regular sake. Masudaya.

I stopped by Matsuzawa Sake Shop on a business trip to Niigata and bought a bottle of Sakura, which is only available at liquor stores in Niigata Prefecture. It has a gorgeous aroma and apple-like juiciness that finishes nicely. I was lucky to happen to buy a spring-like sake.
