The end of the year is a regular time for home-drinking sake. This year, we chose Kaze no Mori Rohafu 507, which Kim Taku described as being like champagne. It was my first time to drink a Kaze no Mori sake with 50% polished rice, but it was very tasty with a fresh mouthfeel and fruity flavor that was hard to believe it was sake, as the previous reviews said. It is just so easy to drink that it is dangerous to drink too much of it, but I think it is sake of the highest level. Above all, I thought that Japan is a wonderful country where you can drink sake of this high level for just over 1,700 yen.

It is clearly distinct from other nigori sake we have had in the past. It has a round, fruity heady aroma, a perfect balance of sweetness and nigori's thickening on the tongue, and an extremely refreshing and clean feeling on the palate. It is very tasty.

I entered Kobachiyo, a new bar that opened on July 24 in Musashikoyama, at first sight. The proprietress recommended Houken as the dry sake of the day. As recommended, it was super dry, refreshing, and very tasty.

I ordered a set of three types of sake to compare. It had been a while since I drank sake with brewing alcohol, as I had been drinking only junmai ginjo or daiginjo recently. It was dry sake, which I like, but junmai sake is better without any unpleasant taste.

It has a wonderful clean and refreshing aroma and a wonderful throat. In addition, it is an excellent marriage with fish. It is such a delicate sake that it can be served with rock oysters, toro, engawa, horse mackerel, and mackerel, each of which has a subtle aftertaste. Very tasty.
