The aroma is not that pervasive. As it is claimed to be super dry, it is indeed crisp on the palate, with sweetness and flavor spreading in the mouth. It leaves a dry aftertaste in the throat. On the other hand, if you ask me if it is a Junmai Daiginjo, I can't say. Perhaps we are living in an age where the rice polishing ratio is no longer the benchmark for sake quality and taste.

When I was browsing at a local liquor store, I saw that Kamonishiki was available for less than 1,000 yen, so I decided to buy it right away and opened it as soon as I got home. This may be the first time for me to drink Junmai Ginjo at room temperature at home. The sweetness and umami of the rice are strong on the palate. It doesn't have an expansive aroma, but I think it brings out the best of the rice.

I bought it on the recommendation of my favorite liquor store. It was said to have the aroma of La France, and indeed, it had a strong fruity aroma and sweetness. On the other hand, the crisp and dry aftertaste contained some miscellaneous flavors, so it was undeniably lacking in overall cohesiveness.

The subtle fruity top notes are very impressive. Even though it was produced a year ago, the fine bubbles at the bottom of the glass show its high quality. The bubbles are refreshing and dry on the tongue as well.
