Year-end party, bring your own series 4, Hokuriku version. This is delicious. Japan and Hokuriku are very big. [Sakahomare is an original sake rice developed by Fukui Prefecture. It is very rare to find because of its small production. For this occasion, I went to Fukui to buy it. Sakahomare seems to be used for daiginjo, and many of them are expensive. If you don't consider the cost, it is really delicious. It has a mild aroma and elegant rice flavor. It is like a good sake, and the second and third cups are always better. In Fukui, there is also rice for rice called "Ichihomare," which is also delicious.

I had the 2nd day off after the New Year, but I worked from the 3rd to the 6th, including the night shift. I also went home to my family, so I went to a hot spring to work out and had my annual drink at my parents' house 😁. Snow Kirara was a summer gift from a colleague. I have never had this sake before, but I thought the size, the font on the label, the color, and the total cuteness of the sake 🩷. It was very easy to drink in this summer heat👍.

This is also our first time to visit this brewery. I'm glad to see that they have a lot of unpasteurized sake. I completely forgot about the bad things at work and went into drinking mode. Just like the label on the back, this sake has a lot of flavor, but it's not heavy. Even though it was nigori, it didn't feel sloppy. It was an easy to drink sake.

For my fourth cup, I decided on the "Koshihikari" which caught my attention! The palate is clean and refreshing, but as you taste it, it mellows out a bit with a banana feel. The acidity tightens it up so that it does not interfere with the taste, so it is well-balanced and easy to drink👍.

Yamatsuru is the closest sake brewery to my house, but I haven't had much of it lately. The last time I drank it I got the impression that it was peculiar and not really my cup of tea, but not this Junmai Daiginjo! Clear and fruity, good balance of flavors. It's also gorgeous😋. The price is reasonable for a Junmai Daiginjo, but I think it's worth it🧐 I can't underestimate local sake 😚

Low-polished Junmai-shu from Yamatsuru, a local sake brewery in Ikoma, Nara. The name is Choyao. It was a gift, but it looks like it will cost a fortune💧. I heard it was brewed using a method described in a wooden letter from the Nara period. I wonder if it is true. Anyway, let's try it. Wow! It is indeed as rich and sweet as I had heard! The sake level is a whopping -40❗️ But the aftertaste is refreshing. Surprisingly easy to drink and delicious 😋. It's pretty good 👍I'll have to try this one too 😙. But I wonder if people in the Nara period really enjoyed this kind of sake 🤔.

It is a versatile sake that also makes it delicious! I once thought that Kichiemon Nakamura was a great sake because my brother is a Kabuki fanatic, and this sake may have the same weight. If it's a regular sake, I imagine it would be a Junmai sake, and it would be a very bad one at that! I would definitely like to try the junmai sake! Mr. Ota is in Shinjuku! Mr. Ota went to a sake bar in Shinjuku, where the sake was delicious, and to Robeliya, a very deep bar in Shinjuku's Golden Gai. A 30-minute broadcast in two bars is too short!

Today is the annual New Year's Day visit to Kawagoe Naritasan Naritasan, and then to celebrate the golden wedding of my wife's parents. Dinner. The drink menu consisted mainly of wine, but there was also sake on the menu, and Naozane was recommended as a mid-meal drink. Yesterday was the first youth baseball coaches meeting in two weeks. A big senior coach bought us some sake from Tokushima, so we had it 🙇️. My first Tokushima sake ️️! It's a dry taste, but you can feel the sweetness too👍. It's well balanced and perfect for a midday drink😍. My senior coach lives in Shikoku for work now and can't come back every week but I asked him to bring me some good sake from Shikoku🤣.

The second bottle of Hohsui Shuzo purchased at the Hankyu Brewer's Festival was a hiyaoroshi 🐰✨ with a 60% polishing ratio of Bizen Omachi rice. It has a mellow mouthfeel and a full flavor that is typical of Omachi rice, and is delicious!

There is no description on the 300ml bottle, but according to the official website, it seems to be called Shiboritate Nama-nihan-shu. It has a good balance of sweet and spicy and is easy to drink. It is truly exquisite. I think it is similar to the Shiroshika Classics Limited Nama-Nihan-shu. It's definitely better than the first unfiltered draft I opened.

Comparison of nigori sake from Wakayama's favorite brands (1) We compared nigori sake from two of our favorite brands, Minakata and Chokyu. First, let's start with Minakata 😄. The first one has a fresh and fruity aroma like apples and a strong fizzy feeling. It has a full, sweet flavor and a crisp, refreshing taste, and is just as delicious as one would imagine 😍. It's been quite a while since I've had Nanpo, but I don't remember it ever being out of place and I think it's a good brand with a high level of quality 😁.

The first Minakata I've had in probably 3 years, given to me in a 300ml bottle ☺️The 4-pack bottle has a picture of Minakata Kumagusu and the brand story on it, but with 300ml there's no room for that... 😅. It has a thin banana 🍌 aroma with a slight tang of alcohol behind it. After a slightly sweet attack, the aftertaste is a good mix of bitterness, sourness and spiciness. The aftertaste of bitterness lasts quite long. It will go well with both meat and fish without any conflict. The quality of the sake is similar to Kido's Junmai Ginjo. Is it because it is a sake from Wakayama Prefecture?
