I was curious why it says sweet on purpose😅. It's not like the popular fluffy fluty It's a solid sweet sake 👘. So, you know... It was great with light red bean paste sweets, cheese, teriyaki, etc 🎵. Recommended to drink at room temperature or lukewarm, but it was also possible to drink it a little chilled 👍✨.

Rice used is something from Kasama That's one word for the wonderful ‼️. I feel it's sophisticated and seamless. Full of flavor with a clean aftertaste. The price is high, but the level is also quite high. ‼️

Today is Valentine's Day!👩‍❤️‍👨 This Sake paired very well with the filet mignon I prepared for my wife. There is a full mouth feel with umami. There is a light smoke flavor and wood. The aftertaste is short.

Smoky, complex as recommended. I would drink it again.

Special sake that I got as a gift when visiting the shuzo. It is new year blended koshu released from the brewery every new year time. It blended the Daiginjo from year 1989, 2001 & 2013. Surprisingly, its still very light body - unlike other koshu which makes you too full. I like the aroma, while soy sauce and umami is significant, you can also feel the raisin, dried grapes inside. On palate it leans more towards coffee, toffee & dark chocolate. Serving hot is a good choice too.

This is the first time I've bought bamboo island since the new system was put in place. According to the official website of the Japan Famous Sake Association, the rice is Nihonbare and Yamadanishiki. The lees are submerged and when mixed, it is slightly effervescent and petite. Slightly sweet and bitter. I wonder if it is better to drink it while it has gas? Once the gas is gone, the bitterness will make it hard to drink 🤔. I wonder if it would be sweeter to drink the alcohol by itself?

OSAKA-JO SAKE SQUARE 2023 It is a very crisp, dry, deep-flavored Ajiginjo. The aroma is subtle. The mellowness is more apparent in junmai sake. This is also a good sake. Rabenten is not often seen at liquor stores, but since it was at a department store, I bought it. The Yamadanishiki sake was sold out, so I chose Dewa Sanzan. It is quite gorgeous and fruity. The second half is a little spicy, but it is easy to drink.

This Sake is fruity, crisp and has a long aftertaste. The flavor is like a young pear with a hint of licorice. The acidity gives this a bright and full mouth feel. I am surprised at how long the finish is for this Sake.

To close out the summer. Looking back on summer. Finding the Bentsen Natsu Ginjo After all, the Bentsen suits me. It is crisp and has an indescribable sweetness. I want to call it "Benten Umami", not "Japan Blue". Yamagata's local sake.
