I was curious why it says sweet on purpose😅. It's not like the popular fluffy fluty It's a solid sweet sake 👘. So, you know... It was great with light red bean paste sweets, cheese, teriyaki, etc 🎵. Today is Valentine's Day!👩‍❤️‍👨 This Sake paired very well with the filet mignon I prepared for my wife. There is a full mouth feel with umami. There is a light smoke flavor and wood. The aftertaste is short.

Cowboy bought me this as a souvenir from Niigata! Yay! Yamahai is great! The design is cool too! It's crisp and mellow, and I drank a bottle so fast... I want to drink it again!

Special sake that I got as a gift when visiting the shuzo. It is new year blended koshu released from the brewery every new year time. It blended the Daiginjo from year 1989, 2001 & 2013. Surprisingly, its still very light body - unlike other koshu which makes you too full. I like the aroma, while soy sauce and umami is significant, you can also feel the raisin, dried grapes inside. On palate it leans more towards coffee, toffee & dark chocolate. Serving hot is a good choice too.

According to the official website of the Japan Famous Sake Association, the rice is Nihonbare and Yamadanishiki. The lees are submerged and when mixed, it is slightly effervescent and petite. Rabenten is not often seen at liquor stores, but since it was at a department store, I bought it. The Yamadanishiki sake was sold out, so I chose Dewa Sanzan. It is quite gorgeous and fruity. The second half is a little spicy, but it is easy to drink.
