I would say it is an average sake, nothing wrong but nothing special as well. A bit if fruitiness and rice sweetness, but very plain with nothing for drinkers to remember. Perhaps it will perform better when pairing with food, but not for sole drinking. Too monotone from my view.

Thanks my friend for bringing this very fresh premium sake! A real delicious one, fruity aroma and clear fruity sweetness - i would say melon alike. It is not the very refreshing style that I have tried before - but comes with some complexity of honey / rice sweetness as well. Medium after taste which is very enjoyable.

Absolutely delicious sake, and very difficult to buy as well. Just with the chance I visited the brewery which takes 1 hour train from Iwakuni and try their delicious sake! Great quality, the signature pineapple freshness immediately pops up and it tastes fresh and juicy. Then it comes slightly rice sweetness and the after taste is long enough that doesnt go away. Great one.

I would say if it is just a sake at normal JDG price, it would be perfectly fine. Rich fruitiness, melon like, clean and slight rice sweetness, but with a little bit awkward bitterness. I dont think it blends very well which does not give me a great point to memorise. Perhaps the quality control of nabeshima is not so stable recently - i think it does not worth the high price.

First time drinking the famous newspaper sake! Obviously you can expect it be a rich sake - but its sourness is not an sharp one, but more reminder of yogurt, cheese and also showing some cooked rice presence. Strong umami, mushroom and nutty feel. Long aftertaste.

Quite fresh and fruity. Not much other taste anyway. Also some rice sweetness with good aroma. Also an above average one, just mot many memorization points.

Long time no drink a Kijoshu - surprisingly it is not very rich, which is easily drinkable. Quite rich sourness like yogurt and lactic acid - together with some rich sweetness. Again better to be paired with food :)

It is a Ishikawa style sake - rich in texture and more bitter in taste. I think it will be better pair with oily and meaty food, else it will be a little bit too much. The umami and minerals at the end will be a diverse one - depends on whether you like it or not.

This sake needs to be rest for a while. When first opening, it comes with a wood smell and taste that is too sharp. After resting for around 15 minutes or more, this taste becomes softer and blends better with the sake itself. There are slight fruity banana taste, perhaps due to the Namazake nature. It also comes with some tangerine bitterness - not unpleasant. Overall an above average sake that is good as the first launch.

Junmai Ginjo made with locally grown Omachi - very nice domaine terroir concept worths some appreciation. It is not the typical Junmai Ginjo that you would expect - the sourness is elegant and reminds you of fresh cheese and cream. Further digging into the sake, it comes with slight umami - also with toffee candy, caramel taste. It makes a nice pairing with fatty food and meat! Great balance!

If you ask me I would say I am a bit disappointed. The sake is full of fruity aroma, while giving you a complexity of tastes - apple & pear fruity sweetness. However, the sourness is also quite prominent, in the form of cream yogurt and fresh cheese. Spot of bitterness as in roasted nuts also found. When it is placed for a while, the sourness becomes more and more overwhelming and affecting the balance of this sake. Would like a purer one instead.

Not the first time I drink this sake - but this time it has been stored for 1 year. The fruity smell is still there but I could spot there is a bit of sourness like yogurt and cream. I would think it is due to the ageing issue. Slight umami is also spot. Alcoholic feel become more bitter than usual, it seems better to be drink earlier than waiting for a year!

Snowy feel clean and transparent. Easy to go ginjo type fruitiness on melon, apple and pear. Slight rice sweetness which is clean. Light and crispy finishing. No prominent alcoholic bitterness, good one to drink!

Very nice one and also one not easy to buy. Clean and transparent sake, which is such an easy one to drink. Very smooth fruity style, slight rice sweetness, crispy ending. Nice explanation of what kire is!

Standard ้›ชๅฅณ็ฅž style - pure, sweet and elegant. With some fruity melon smell and taste, together with rice sweetness. Easy to drink, not much a burden. Nice one

Again a sour one to match with fatty and oily food - not a sharp sourness but still quite elegant I would say. Serve it in normal temperature maybe a bit better I think.

Thanks my friend for taking this all the way back from shuzo! Obviously it is a sourer one on lactic acid side which I think is good to match with things that are bit oily and fatty - like meat. It comes quite smooth with a little bit of nuttiness. Will be too much if drink solely.

Weirdly I have not drunk a lot of abe in my life - so this is the first time I log this. It gives me a taste of tropical fruits on smell and palate, a little bit sourer than what I expect but perhaps it is a replication of wine domaine style. I also like the slight rice sweetness and umami coming with this, but I guess it is more designed to lair with different food.

Not the first time I drink the Sparkling Dassai - but the first time I mark a record here. Very fresh one as it is manufactured in Nov 2024 - standard Dassai sweetness with melon, sugar, pineapple feel, also some sort of rice sweetness. Fresh drink with bubble feel to make it quite fresh. Always good to be served as a starting drink!

Sake specially made for WEEKS 2024 in Osaka - lucky to have a chance to try this in Hong Kong! Very delicate style and a bit dry - still shows a lot of ginjo smell and taste. Clear and transparent, clean and I think is a good match with steam seafood. Also I think it is not that hard like other kaze no mori, much softer in feel :)
