Rice used is Miyamanishiki I didn't find it too harsh, but my partner, who prefers a gorgeous sweet taste, found it too much for his palate. It is true that the alcohol taste comes first, and the mouthfeel is not smooth. As the day goes by, the corners are removed and it becomes more moderate, so it might be better to go out with it slowly, but I don't dislike it in this way.

Sake for daily use bought at MaxValu in front of Yamagata Station. I drink it at room temperature. The sweetness of the rice softly seeps in. The sweetness is offset by the lack of acidity, and the bitterness is moderate, giving it a gentle impression. It is delicious with a complex flavor. When it is cooled down, the sharp acidity rises and the sweetness disappears. When slightly cooled, it is sweet and sour and goes down smoothly. It is also delicious with a little water. Sake from the Tohoku region is dangerous. All of them are delicious.

Another bottle I bought at Hasegawa-san in Tokyo station. The first time for Otokoyama-san in Yamagata This is also the original label of Hasegawa-san. The rice used is Miyamanishiki, so it's the same as "Junmai-shu Gold Label". Anyway, it was a delicious sake with a lot of fullness. The sharpness isn't bad either, and it's perfect as a sake for a meal. I thought it was good for everyday drinking. That's about all I can say for a 1-gallon bottle...

I went to Yamagata for the first time in a long time😊. I was allowed to drink sake at my uncle's house. Mellow and sake-like sake, just the way I like it for everyday drinking 😊. There was also some Asahitaka at night, but I don't remember drinking it. I forgot to take a picture 🥲.

Purchased at a liquor store in Nakazaki-cho after an event at Ogimachi Park with Nemuchi The design looks like something you'd find in a bottle at an izakaya 😅. Normally I wouldn't pass it up, but I thought it looked unusual and bought it. It's been a year since it was made, but I don't feel it's aged too long. It is light, refreshing and easy to drink.

Type: junmai daiginjo, rice polishing rate: 50%, alc.: 16% Floral aroma, vanilla, marshmallow and a little bit of savoury aroma. Flavor feels dry with sharp acidity and bitterness of alcohol. Earthy flavor lingers for a while. Not too good not too bad. Decent price here in Europe.
Kitanohomare K30 Konjun is a junmai sake from Godo Shusei brewed at a factory in Asahikawa, Hokkaido. The amount of koji used in the brewing process is 1.5 times larger than usual, resulting in a rich, full aroma and flavor that spreads in the mouth. It is a delicious sake that will not be defeated by strong-flavored dishes such as Chinese food.

100% Yamadanishiki from Hyogo Prefecture, with wine yeast. It is said that the name "Sora no Tsuru" comes from a dream of riding a beautiful "crane" soaring in the sky. Wine yeast is great because it makes rice sweet and sour! The top aroma is of grappa and rum raisins. When swirled, it smells of plum. The flavor is very sweet and sour, like plum wine. The color is a pale yellowish hue like lemon pulp, the legs are short and weak.

It is a sake from Akashi City, Hyogo Prefecture. It is only available directly in the city, and there are only a limited number of stores where you can drink it. I found it at a store selling Hyogo products in Kobe Hankyu in Sannomiya and bought it. How does it taste? It does not have the harshness of the original sake. It has a chocolate-like aroma. It has a rich sweetness, with spiciness and astringency chasing after it. The chocolatey and caramel-like aroma that passes through the nose is delightful. If you let it air a little, it becomes more brightly sweet and fragrant. It is simple, but quite flamboyant. How about if you heat it up? It tastes like chestnuts and is easy to drink! The spiciness that comes out volatilely and the refreshing sweetness that comes in quickly. It has a rich and expressive taste. It is really good. The aftertaste is also refreshing and sharp with a nice sweetness. I think it is especially good when heated. I have now completed a round of the 70-odd breweries in Hyogo Prefecture (and have 300 reports to my name)! It took me two years to complete this feat. It was a long but enjoyable journey. I will continue to enjoy Hyogo sake (and Fukui sake as well) slowly and carefully, and hope to one day become an evangelist for good Hyogo sake...

a gift It was the first time I had ever had a fresh one in Honjozo. The mouthfeel is like mint? I've never had it before, but it's interesting. I think it leaves a little bit of a cloying taste at the end.

Furusato Tax: Hakuro Taruzu Drinking Comparison (1) We compared 2 bottles of Hakuro Taruhu Jun Daigin set with the Hometown Tax return gift from Tsuruoka City. ✌️ First, let's start with Dewa Sanzan 😄. The aroma is fruity with a hint of sourness. The label says it is mellow and umaguchi, and while it is certainly umaguchi, it is characterized by its sharpness, leaving the impression of acidity and dryness in the aftertaste. It has a strong sense of transparency and is both mildly sweet and spicy, making it a good mid-meal sake. It has a wide strike zone for temperature, and can be served cold, of course, but it also shows its potential at temperatures that are close to room temperature.

Furusato Tax: Hakuro Taruzu Drinking Comparison (2) Drinking comparison of 2 bottles of Jun Daigin set of Hakuro Taruzu with the Furusato tax return gift from Tsuruoka city. ✌️ The second bottle is Rashinban, my personal No.2 brand from last year. Ordered again this year with Furusato tax return 😂. This is an ice-aged Jun Daigin made from the beautifully named Yuki-Onogami sake rice, polished to 33%. The top aroma is tropical fruit🥭 type. On the palate, the sweetness and umami are firm, but the finish is quick and curiously refreshing. The aftertaste is full of ripeness and spiciness, and the taste is delicious from start to finish.

A liquor store in Yamagata recommended this sake to me. I bought it because it's a Junmai Daiginjo made by polishing a rare type of sake rice called Yukimajin up to 39. The alcohol content is high, but the taste is refreshing, sweet and mild. It's rich with flavor but crisp after drinking it 🙂 It smells very fragrant and makes me happy😇
