I went to Hanshin Department Store before the meeting with Men-chan in Osaka. Hakubanishiki was there tasting and selling their wines, so I tasted Miyamanishiki and bought this one.
I had put it off for a long time because I could buy it at Haretoke 😅.
It has a slightly darker, sweeter flavor from the chiri-chiri-ness. The acidity in the latter half is beautiful and pleasant. It tastes like plums. It tastes better than the impression I had when I tasted it.
When the gas is released, the nuttiness becomes more assertive.
The layout and typeface on the back label looks similar to Tenka and Purple Space, are they in the same family?
Good evening, Ponchan 😃
I wonder what the stylish label like wine means 🤔I think I read it somewhere but I forgot 🤣you wouldn't know it's Hakuba Nishiki if you only read the label 😁.
Good evening Mr. Choroki😃.
Hitogokochi looks good too 😆I only brought Miyamanishiki and Yamaneishiki 😅.
I'm sure Nemuchi-San will be able to help you out with questions about that.
I'm sure Nemuji would be happy to answer any questions you might have 🤣.
It's not Soujitchantan 😙.
According to the explanation of the department store staff, the rice is Sakonishiki. It has a unique and distinctive aroma like herbs. It has a fresh and crisp taste. Finishes with a tangy bitterness. I don't know if it is a summer sake or not, but it has a refreshing taste and is suitable for summer.
I tasted and bought it on the same day as Kessen Sekigahara and Aoi Tenga, but Soumai was the only one that gave me the same impression when I tasted it and drank it at home 🤔.
What a relief😅
Hello bouken, ☀️
I unintentionally laughed at the beginning 🤣.
Tasting and drinking at home can be different 💦 the one I had the other day was more fruity than the tasting and I felt like I got more out of it 😆 but I still prefer the same one 😊.
Good evening, Ponchan 😃.
Thanks for picking up the story 🤣.
I decided to buy it based on the impression I got from the tasting.................... I'm glad I bought the same one 🤔.
The one made with Hidahomare is for the West, while Dewa Sanzan is for the East. Fruity and refreshing. It has a gentle sweetness. It is tasty, but it may make a weak impression if you drink it after a strong sake.
It is a nama-zake, but I think it has a weak nama-zake-like taste. Is it watered down?
Maybe I drank it in the order of Shinjo, Earth, Sekigahara 🤔.
The order of drinking is important 🤗
When I drink it again, it has an atmosphere of light and dry, but the sweetness comes in at once in the latter half of the bottle.
It's light but sweet and delicious when drunk by itself 😋.
After the decisive battle in Sekigahara, we were allowed to taste the nigorigo (a sweet sake).
It was sweeter and tastier than Shirakawa-go, which I had drunk in the past.
The sales clerk said it would be delicious as a sorbet.
The only problem is that it has to be frozen 🤔.
I've been looking at the website and they have a 300ml bottle so I'm wondering if this one will fit in there.
I went to Hanshin Department Store and saw an unfamiliar sake on the shelf. I said yes and followed him 😅. I said yes and followed him😅.
When I moved to the tasting booth, I saw the word "Shirakawa-go" 😳.
I couldn't help but say, "So this is a brewery from Shirakawa-go? I said 😆.
😆 I was surprised to see that it was a different brand of Shirakawa-go. I had never seen it before.
We tasted 4 kinds of draft sake at Kessen Sekigahara.
Happo-tai: Attack of the West (light blue)
Happo-tai: surprise attack by the east (green)
Namaizakari, the first battle of the West (yellow)
Namaizakudai: First Battle of the East (red)
It is said that "Happa-tai" means "Ori-gara-mi," "Seigun" means "Hidahomare," and "Higashi gun" means "Dewa-tansan.
Overall, the impression was good, with a refreshing sweetness. Both of the West Army wines had a fruity taste. The light blue foaming corps was also delicious, but I bought the yellow Seigun because it is brewed in Shirakawa-go and I wanted to choose a sake that was not nigori (nigori) type.
Hello bouken, ☁️
Happo-tai 🤣 really nice naming 👍I'm curious about Shirakawa-go, I've never drank anything but nigori 😊I'm looking forward to the yellow raw western WW 🎶.
Good evening, Mr. Manachy 😃.
I was caught by the fancy label and naming 🤣.
I thought it would be better if they promoted not only Shirakawa-go but also this place a little more 😅.
Good evening, Ponchan😊.
I thought it's not so bad that Shirakawa-go makes sake and the brewery is in Ogaki city, but Sekigahara is a good location for it 😅If you see it in a department store, please try it 😁.
Good evening bmuken😋.
The other day, I went to a brewery opening and tasted the Sekigahara series.
I was skeptical because I had only had nigori, but it was so good that on the way home, I bought a bottle of Tougun Teppoutai Kisatsu. 😃😋
Good evening, nito😃.
I see you went to the brewery opening 😍I love it 😋.
I had low expectations for Sekigahara because I thought it was "not" Sekigahara, but it was delicious 😁.
I'll buy this one 😆👍
This is 👋, Mr. Bou from Kochikara.
Oh, by the way, you've been to Shirakawa-go! (*bou-san's announcement 😇)
It's very famous, but I haven't tasted it yet 💧.
I'll try the nigori first 💧.
I bought it when it was coming to Hanshin Department Store for tasting and selling.
As I wrote in an earlier post, they may not come back? I wonder if they opened the store as part of a business relationship or something.
This place is also in the same group as Kaganoi and Asakura.
I think the rice is Matsuyama Mitsui. It has a freshness that is typical of a sake made from unpasteurized rice. It has a strong umami of rice. It is a little spicy and alcoholic during a meal. I thought it was not well-balanced.
It is a little sweeter when drunk on its own.
It is sweeter at room temperature, but it has a nutty taste.
I think the fire-brewed one has more sweetness.
If I had a choice between raw and fire-brewed, I'd choose the raw 😅.
I know it's too late, but the flier at the Nishinomiya Hanshin department store said "Gohyakumangoku".
Good evening, Umaisan ☔.
I also found out about it from a department store install 😅 I guess technically you would describe it as plump 😅? Personally, I'm a bit of a nutty type 🙄.
bouken, I'm of the group that makes it raw too ✋.
If there is a special pure one, I'm of the group that makes it special pure 😆✋ lol.
I heard that they have been serving raw for several years in a row, but they won't be making raw anymore. I'm done drinking.
Sakura Uzumaki Tasting Part 2
Junmai Shizuku Ehime
Junmai Daiginjo Kareena Otome
Nigori Sake
Sakikura Junmai Ginjo Namaishu
Karen na Otome is a new product and seems to use Ehime's original flower yeast called Sakurahime yeast.
It is a refreshingly fruity and sweet sake.
The nigori sake was sweet, but I thought it was not the classic type that I like.
I bought a bottle of Sakikura Junmai Ginjyo Nama Sake.
Leaving the Hankyu Department Store, we went to the Hanshin Department Store.
This is the first time I see Sakura Uzumaki Sake Brewery.
I was allowed to sample all the varieties as they may not be coming back 😊.
First up.
Sakurakaze Junmai
Sakurakaze Junmai Daiginjo
Sakurakaze Daiginjo
Overall, it was a gorgeous and sweet sake.
After tasting Junmai, Ginjo, and Junmai-Ginjo, we chose this one.
The aroma is a little banana-like. It is not gorgeous, but it is sweet and delicious, and has a lot of body. It has a sweet taste, but it is a bit classic in Nagano sake.
Anyway, it has a strong taste. It has a strong alcoholic taste.
Good evening, Mr. Sakeran😃.
They sometimes come to Hankyu, don't they?
I tasted it last year and was going to buy it but the guy at the brewery was so reluctant that I didn't buy it 😅I thought he was not a salesman 🤔.
Ah, yes, there are brewers like that!
On the contrary, they actively offer you sake tasting.
I have a very sorry and bitter memory of saying, "Oh, no, ...... not so much your brewery's sake 💧" 😓......?
(Thank you very much.
I am told that the brewery's masterpiece, daiginjo, is the best of its kind, and the hard work that goes into making it is spoken of with great passion, but I can't say in my heart that I want honjozo sake or regular sake.
I wonder if it would be better to just let it go, but I'm extremely timid and can't seem to do it.
Shinjou-san, thank you very much 🙋.
I don't taste unless I'm supposed to buy something 😅If you brought 300ml or something like that, it would be a big help 🤣.
You can sample a variety of wine and other cask sake for a fee at the corner in front of the sake department at the Hanshin Department Store Umeda 🥹.
The wine is a little dry with a hint of oak aroma and tastes delicious .
You can also get a small amount of cheese for your money 🧀.
It was so good that we bought it by the block in the cheese section .
After the 15th, they will have beer 🍺 for tasting: 🙆♀️
I'd like to leave my liver capacity for sake, so I'll revisit when sake is on the menu👍
This is actually my first time drinking "9 NINE".
I had never tasted the old "9" in the green bottle, so it was a good thing I did.
Dewa immediately!
First of all, the Alc is slightly noisy and lacks sweetness and freshness. So that means it's still hard.
I'll bring it back tomorrow or later.
3rd day
Riedel.
Oh, no, it's mellow wine again! It is truly a classic light wine with a rich, mellow flavor.
I mistakenly thought it was hard because of the sweet/acidic and alc sensations that have not changed since the first day, but I was wrong, this is the peak, isn't it?
The fruit and fresh parts are very gentle, and the umami-specialized rice is suitable for heating up.
However, it is still a Bodai yeast!
It has a mille-feuille of complex flavors, but I think it's a little far from being an accent or noise, so I'll skip it!
The 3rd and 4th pictures
2/24【Tetorikawa Yamahai Junmai
A rare setai (a rare occurrence!).
We are pleased to welcome you all the way from Kure, Hiroshima 😌.
The taste is impressive with a creamy mouthfeel reminiscent of vanilla, round sweetness and assertive umami. I finished 2 cups lightly 😆.
So I was a little bit sad yesterday .........
It was exhibited at Hanshin Department Store next to Inabatsuru, which is a member of the same family (JFLA Holdings). I tasted the special junmai sake and the honjozo sake, and was most impressed with this one, so I bought it.
This sake brewery has overcome many hardships, including financial difficulties and the Itoigawa fire that destroyed the brewery.
It is fresh and fresh with a slight gassy feeling, and has a sweetness that is like a Japanese confectionary, while at the same time having a delicious rice flavor. The acidity is also impressive.
It is very sweet and light when drunk after Chidori Masamune.
I can't find the same sake in a search, so I don't know the details.
After some time, it's starting to feel a bit like a pineapple.
Hello bouken 😃
This is totally unrelated, but there is a tonkatsu restaurant in Ichinomiya city next to where I live named Kaganoui. It's really delicious 😋Sorry, it has nothing to do with alcohol: 🙇♂️
Hi takeshon ⛅.
I searched for it and it looks pretty good 😋.
I used to take day trips to Nagoya so I'd like to try it if I get the chance 😆If Ichinomiya is next door, isn't Isubeki close too?
This sake was tasted along with the Junmai Ginjo I posted earlier.
We were there when the store opened on the first day of tasting and sales, so all the sakes were unsealed, so we were able to sample them in fresh condition.
I recommend going on Wednesday when the store opens 😆.
It is Rokumaru with 60% rice polishing ratio. It is the same as Shinomine.
It has more richness and umami than Junmai Ginjo.
It is suitable for warming up.
He mentioned that this was his first visit to Hanshin.
He came to Shinsaibashi Daimaru about 5 years ago (when it was the current Parco building) and drank several kinds of tasting and didn't buy.
I thought I would like to buy something if I saw them again, but I haven't seen them since then...
I heard they are the brewery that revived strong rice.
They brought three types of nama-zake (junmai ginjo, special junmai, and active nigori), and I tasted the other two and bought this one.
The aroma was muscat-like. It tasted like a Hakka-like tang and had a cool, muscat-like aftertaste. It has a unique flavor that I have never tasted before.
This is a Tottori sake, but it is not that spicy. It is dry though 😁.
When I bought it, the brewer said it was pressed yesterday. It was so fresh when I tasted it 😊.
Hello Manachy ☔.
I thought I'd seen the stock after you said that 🤣.
I think it's Chiyomusubi in terms of availability.
Inatahime is often seen in department stores, but it seems to be only in Kansai.
Thank you very much!
I didn't know Inabatsuru was here.
Inabatsuru has a lighter San-in color, doesn't it?
I love 50% pounded rice though it is not raw.
It certainly has an indescribable character!
I tasted it with Gojogawa Sakura when I bought it. It is said to be the base of sake that is aged at ice temperature.
The rice is said to be Aichi no Kaori and Yume Ginko.
It was delicious, but it was more mature than the sakura yeast.
I had my doubts but did not buy it. Thank you for the food.
Drinks at the Remote Off-line Meeting #2
I was torn between the timely Risshun Asa Shibori and this one, but I decided to go with this one because I was afraid I would miss the timing to open it.
I finally bought it, takeshon-san 😭
I've heard good things about it, but I finally bought it. It has a full-bodied flavor with a slight smokiness. Just the right amount of sweetness. I wonder if the unique flavor comes from the yeast? This is the best Isobeki I've ever had!
I don't think it will be coming to Kansai for a while, so I wonder if I can buy the limited edition one in March. I can only hope for one chance to get it in stock at a liquor store in Kobe.
You drank it like it was delicious 👍I bet it was a delicious explosion of flavor 😋The cherry yeast is delicious 👍Promote it because I want everyone to drink it too 👍
Good evening, takeshon 😃.
It's a unique type of taste and it seems to be addictive 😁I alternated it with Jishin 😊I told people in Kansai so I'm sure some of them will post more 😉.
It was a historic victory ⚽
I was so happy that Doan from Amagasaki scored a goal 😆.
Now it is DHC sake brewery.
Slightly fizzy and fruity. Sweet and tasty, with a bit of minerality. It tastes similar to Asakayousei, which is my personal favorite, but there are no distributors in Kansai, so I can only buy it when I come to Hanshin Department Store...
A little expensive, but that's the problem.
Other than that, Niigata in Umeda is sometimes stocked.
Hi bouken, 🌈
I did see Kayama at Hanshin department store❗️I had many refills of Kayama Jun Dai at Niigata Pon Shukan, it was full sweet and delicious 😋DHC Brewery, I quite like it 🎵.
Good evening, good evening 😃.
I think they probably have the blue bottles of Kayama's raw sake almost all year round 😊It's a rare place to buy it in the Kansai area. I got to sample a variety this time and overall it was fruity, sweet and delicious 😋.
At tasting. Fruity, sweet and mellow. It was sweeter and tastier than the raw sake, but it was more expensive, so I decided to buy the unfiltered raw sake directly from Kameguchi in Kayama.
Good morning, boukdn😄
I have tasted it too. It was delicious, sweet and spicy without any unpleasant taste. I gave it up because I had something else to buy 😅.
Good morning, Lutherthemi!
I've always been a fan of this brewery because of their sweet and tasty sake 😁Asakura was also there and I was curious but gave up this time 😭.
At the tasting. Junmai Daiginjo fire-aged Gohyakumangoku. It is mellow, sweet, and beautiful. It has the same label as the affordable unfiltered raw sake sold at Yamaya, but this one was more expensive at 3,300 yen.
