This is my first time at Sawaya Matsumoto.
It is a seasonal Gohyakumangoku, raw sake.
Sweet aroma like a pineapple.
Very fine bubbles float in the glass.
The mouthfeel is very fresh!
Sweet and sour and very easy to drink.
I had heard that Matsumoto has a bitter taste,
But it is rather easy to drink, almost like a chu-hai (a refreshing drink).
The aftertaste is refreshing and you can drink it all the way to the end without feeling sluggish.
Why didn't I drink it before?
Since it is refreshing, it goes well with fried food.
Pairing: Fried chicken, garland chrysanthemum salad with ham and salted kelp, carrot shirushiri, potato salad, sweet vinegared turnip
