Good evening! 🙋 It was cold in the coastal area of Iwate Prefecture today, perhaps because of the "Yamase". Yamase means that the wind coming in from the sea brings cold moist air, so fog and cloud like mass comes in and makes it impossible to live without a stove. 😱 It is totally tricky. Now, the drinks I served at an industry group get-together. The third was a summer-only junmai namaizu from the Rimori Sake Brewery's Sake Isshuji in Okayama Prefecture. This is a summer sake from Sake Issuji pushed by Kibune's president, Mr. Murai. This is very tasty! 👍 Clean and silky. And slightly sweet and tasty in the mouth. The feeling of it disappearing smoothly in the back of your throat is wonderful! Is Rimori Shuzo okay with a price of 1,375 yen for such a delicious sake? I feel like saying, "I don't think anyone would complain if we raised the price even higher! I don't like dry sake, but I recommend this one! Very tasty! 🎉

Next is Tenmei Tamboshibori Junmai Daiginjo. At 16% alcohol by volume, it has a slightly firm, sweet-tasting mouthfeel. The taste is as good as the description says, a mix of sharpness and mellowness. The sweetness comes first because it is after the clear dryness of Ten Frog. It was delicious. 🎉

Good evening! 🙋 It is a little cold today on the coast of Iwate Prefecture. Even though the double-flowered cherry blossoms have fallen and the azaleas are in full bloom, it's still not possible to put away the stove yet because it's not uncommon for the maximum temperature to not reach 15℃. 😅 Well, this time, we had a general meeting and get-together of an industry group last week, so I asked Mr. Murai, the president of Gin-no-Sake Kibune, to help me look up some things for us! 🎉 I opened the cardboard box, and lo and behold! There was a bottle of Ten Frog in it! 😱 And it's clear dry! Whatever it is, they say it's suitable for long-term aging because it's fire-aged and the gas pressure doesn't change and it's not cloudy. 😁. But now that I have it, I have to serve it to you all! (LOL) Pouring into small glass cups! Oh, the bubbles are so lively. No oily bubbles, and it looks beautiful. At 8 degrees alcohol, it has a light, light mouthfeel. Everyone was bursting with smiles and saying "Delicious! with smiles on their faces! 👍 It was very delicious! 🙋

Next, the three grains of Daimine, Summer no tsukimi. Last year, I forgot to ask Mr. Kibune for them, so I could finally drink them this year! I was so excited and opened the package. I was so excited and opened the package 😁. It has a light schwa sound and a light aroma. Light and gorgeous on the palate. Very nice gentle balance, different from Akabu's SAKURA. 🎉 It tastes great on a day when the temperature is over 20℃ and it feels a little bit like summer. Very tasty. 👍 P.S. The fourth photo is an azalea blooming by our front door. If you live west of the Kanto region, the azaleas may have already finished their full bloom, but here it is the beginning of the season. It is a gorgeous season. I hope you enjoy it!

Good evening! 🙋 Today is a refreshingly sunny day here on the coast of Iwate Prefecture. On a day like this, I would like to relax, take it easy and drink in the daytime without thinking about anything, but that's not going to happen. 😅 The day ended with moving around here and there. (Chuckles). Now, I drank SAKURA by Akabu at home a while ago. When I took a sip, it had a light acidity and a hint of sweetness that made me think of cherry blossoms. It balances nicely and makes you happy. 😄 My wife repeats "It's delicious" and drinks it smoothly. It was very delicious! 👍 P.S. The fourth photo is a sake barrel seen from the reception of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, which we visited a while ago. A great number of dedicated brands are lined up. From Iwate Prefecture, Nanbu Bijin and Drunken Sen. Niimasa from Akita Prefecture. Takashimizu is used for the sacred sake. When you open a bottle of Goshinzake, it has a very good ginjo aroma and is full of it...😅

Next was Yaezakura Dry Junmai by local Izumikin Shuzo. For a dry sake, the rice flavor was well expressed, which matched the yakitori and was very tasty. Basically, I thought that Tomifuku's main sake that they purchase from Sakamoto Sake Brewery is the sake that makes people say "dry but tasty". 😁 As an aside, the reason why they put a sticker on the label saying Izumikin Holdings is, well, as a countermeasure in case of succession, let's create a holding company and manage the group there, I guess. The stock price of unlisted small and medium-sized enterprises is not so important, but if it is valued at a certain level, inheritance tax will be very difficult to pay 😱. I was talking about the need to take taxation measures in order for the sake brewery to continue to operate properly. 😅

Apart from drinking with my sons, I had some business to attend to and stayed in Morioka. I went to Yakitori and Mifuku as usual. 😁. I don't come here that often, but there was still some Hyakushun in the fridge, so I thought, "Oh no! I thought, "Oh no!" and chose another brand. 😅 I went extremely orthodox and ordered a Junmai from Akabu. The menu said Junmai Ginjo, but what came out was Junmai. I thought it was okay and took a sip. Yes, it has a beautiful sweetness and a slight sourness. It is very tasty when served with tsukune, which I always order! The counter was nice, but the air conditioner was blowing from above, so the one facing the kitchen was a little bad. I'm not sure what to expect 😓. I think the usual window side is the right choice.

Next is Hanamup Akita Sake Komachi Junmai Ginjo. Actually, to be honest, I don't think Hanamup is that good. 😅 I guess it's a very good sake for those who like sweet, but as a lover of sweet and tasty sake, I find Hanamup a bit monotonous. I know it's a bit of a big deal for an amateur, but I was wondering if it would be more interesting if it had a bit more sourness or bitterness in it... I had Akita Sake Komachi. Oh, it was a bit firm coming on the palate, but it was surprisingly refreshing in the mouth and easier to drink than I had expected. It goes well with yakitori (grilled chicken) with a strong flavorful sauce. My eldest son and his wife drank it very quickly and it was empty in no time at all. It was a good drink 😁. And I'm already getting ready to open a bottle of white wine. 👍 We were happy to have a good time. 😁

Good evening! 🙋 This week, the weather has been sunny and even has the atmosphere of early summer in the coastal area of Iwate Prefecture. Someiyoshino and weeping cherry trees are over, but yaezakura (double-flowered cherry trees) are in full bloom, and azaleas have started to bloom as well. As the temperature rises, stink bugs, a.k.a. hexer bugs, also appear and it is very difficult to get rid of them. 😅 Well, I'm a little late, but here is an update on the family get-together for a drink. It's hard to make opportunities to drink together, so our style is to give them a bang-up good one when we can fit it into our schedule. But this time, we also want to drink wine! We have two brands of sake to satisfy the request of "I want to drink wine this time, too! The first sake we opened as a toast was Akabu's AIR. I am a sucker for limited editions, so I managed to get one and served it to everyone. 😁. One sip and ah, it tastes like an "adult rumney soda". It has a light mouthfeel and the acidity is so good, I always wonder how they can make such a variety of flavors of sake. It's so delicious~, and while I was saying that, it was empty in no time. 😅 It was very delicious! 🎉

Shinsei Ten Frog. Anyway, I opened it as a reward for me and my wife who worked hard to clean up during Golden Week! 🎉🎉🎉 On the tag that was hanging, drink it at the end of December! but I thought it would be a waste of money because it would be a waste of obake? and it was sleeping in the back of the fridge. 😁😁 It took me almost 10 minutes to open the bottle, but I managed to pour it slowly into a glass without any spills. Mmmm, beautiful bubbles! 👍 Very nice on the palate, a paradise of sweetness, flavor and acidity in the mouth! 🎉🎉🎉 What a happiness. I enjoyed the last day of the holiday weekend while soaking up the exhaustion! 🙋 Thank you for everything, my eldest son! Also, get him to give me a good one sometime! P.S. I'll post another update on the family get together for a drink this weekend. 😁 This one was selected by President Murai of Kibune. It was another great one! 👍

Next is Asakai's fresh-stored sake. Well, it is a honjozo. It's been so long that I forgot what it tasted like, so I ordered it. We had it at a yakiniku restaurant called "Mororokaku" in front of Morioka Station. At first, I took a sip... 😓. Well, it tasted astringent or something, and it didn't go down smoothly. I wondered how it would taste with grilled meat. So I grilled some meat and tried drinking it, but it just didn't go well with it. I can't say whether it would have been better to have it heated up. Well, I guess it's just like they put it there because it's a local sake? I gave up and switched to a highball. 😅 By the way, we were told that reservations are not available during Golden Week, so we waited in line for an hour. My second son, who was coming back from Tokyo, arrived at Morioka station at 9:00 a.m., so the only place open was a yakiniku restaurant if we wanted to give him a good meal. The only two restaurants in front of the station were Mororokaku and Pyonpyonsha, so we had to be prepared to wait in line. At Seiroukaku, the rule is that if the waiter calls you and you don't answer, you have to cancel immediately! So we were glad that we could get in earlier than expected. However, we were able to get in at 8:30, so we had to wait in line for a while for "Yaki-Yasai (grilled vegetables)" (smiles).

Good evening! 🙋 Golden Week is over. I feel like it was a vacation that ended with just a lot of tidying up and cleaning. 😅 In between, I played and drank with my kids and grandkids...just like the theory that fun goes by so fast...lol! Well, there are some drinks that you can't open unless it's a time like this. 😁 I think I bought the Junmai Daiginjo from Kamikawa Daisetsu online. It is a junmai daiginjo and has a very clean taste. It has a nice balance of sweetness, umami, and acidity, each in gentle harmony in the mouth, while still being refreshing. I was drinking it while saying how delicious it was, and before I knew it, I had only about 1 gou left to drink. It was very delicious! 🎉

Next is a freshly squeezed raw sake from Washinoo. It is an unfiltered, unpasteurized sake made with Ginotome, Ginga, and Hana-no-Mai. If you ask me if it is fresh, I would say it is more of a robust type, so I wonder if it would taste better with strong ingredients. Of course, it is delicious on its own as well, as you can taste the flavor of the rice. Anyway, since we are all lovers of good food and sake, the party went on and on. In no time at all, our 2.5 hour dinner party was over! 😁. I hope there will be another gathering like this 😁. We enjoyed very much! 🎉🎉🎉

The next brand name is Rikuwa 132. Rikuu 132 was produced in 1921 by crossing Kame-no-o and Aikoku rice. Kenji Miyazawa encouraged the cultivation of this rice because of its resistance to cold damage and good taste. As is typical of Junmai, it has a slightly strong attack and a strong flavor of rice. It's also good with fried foods and such, and this one seems to go down a treat. 😅 The first picture is Mr. Kudo, the president of Washinoo. And the one on the right in the second picture is the owner of Tamura Sake Shop, which is famous in Kuji City. They usually have drunken whale, rice and agave. When I first entered the store, I was surprised to learn from someone at the company, "Why is a brand I've only seen on Hasegawa Sake Shop Online normally stocked in a store in Kuji City?" I was surprised. 😱 After this, we had a mooted conversation about craft sake! 😁😁

Good evening! 🙋 It is the second half of the second half of Golden Week. How are you all doing? I was out yesterday and the day before, but today and tomorrow will be a solid day of house cleaning and tidying up. 😅 Well, I've been putting off updating this post, but a collaboration project with Washinoo was held at a restaurant called Tai Sushi🍣 in Tanohata Village! 🎉🎉🎉 As you can see in the picture, a lot of Washio's brand and Tai Sushi's delicious food were served! 🥳 Tai Sushi is now a one-ranked-up restaurant with his son following in his footsteps, and I've been wanting to go there ever since I saw their Instagram! I've been wanting to go to Tai Sushi since I saw their instagram, so I was very thankful for this project! 👍 The toast was Yui no Kou. The label says Junmai Ginjo, but it is Junmai Daiginjo class with a 40% rice polishing ratio. It is very smooth on the palate and has a very nice sparkling spread feeling along with a gorgeous aroma. Pair this with vinegared food or sashimi and the glass is easily emptied. 😁 No, no, it's bad if you pitch it right from the start. 😅 You have to drink consciously! It was very tasty! 🎉

Ochi is Kamonishiki Banshu Yamadanishiki Junmai Daiginjo. Even though it is drunk in various ways, this brand of Kamo Nishiki conveys a strong sense of deliciousness. It is well-balanced but also has a firm mouthfeel, but that doesn't make it hard to drink at all! 👍 It is delicious even when drunk like that! I'm glad to hear you say that! Next was a brand brought in by another person. This is a daiginjo made with wine yeast from Momokawa in Aomori. A little yellow. When you take a sip, you can tell that it is indeed made with wine yeast. The taste is somewhat like an old sake. The alcohol content is 13%, so it is easy to drink. I'm not sure if it's to my taste or not😅 If you're wondering why I'm not sure, it's because I drank Senkou Retro one time before this one. I didn't post it this time because I introduced it a while ago, but when I tasted the acidity of Retro, I thought Momokawa's was a bit too much. If I had drunk them in a different order, my impression would have been a little different, but it is a little hard with Sentori as a partner. It's not bad though 😅

Next was Mikotsuru Junmai Ginjo Yamae Nishiki Unfiltered Nama-shu. The label somehow conjures up an image of sweet and rich, but it was surprisingly smooth and sweet, with a very good mouthfeel. Even those who are not accustomed to sake can easily enjoy this. Even those who are not familiar with sake can easily go for it. Kagamiyama was a bit more acidic, so it was easy to contrast the two, which was also highly appreciated by everyone. It was very tasty! 👍

Good evening! I'm so glad you're here 🙋 . It's Golden Week in the world! I am sure that many of you are saying that. My company started to have a 2-day weekend this year, but the flag day 🇯🇵 in the middle of the week is basically a work day. 😅 Well, it can't be helped, but as expected, the 5th and 6th of next week are set as holidays. 👍 As is typical in the countryside, there are people who help with rice planting and other farm work during this time of the year! This is the reason why they work so hard to make rice. We have a small field, but even if we plant cucumbers and tomatoes, there is no place to distribute them even if we produce a lot of them because everyone around us grows the same thing. 😱 On the other hand, I get them and I am at a loss as to what to do with them 😥. So, it's really only a little bit. Well, the other day there was a social event for an industry group and as usual, I provided the drinks. 😁 First of all, Kagamiyama. Actually, this is the first brand I've ever had. It is a light nigori with a combination of white malted rice and Aizan. The acidity is exquisitely delicious! 👍 The aroma is mature, perhaps because it was cooled down too much. As the temperature gradually rises, the ginjo aroma comes out. Everyone was drinking it happily! 🎉
