Caution! This review is based on very specific conditions. It is not intended to be a reference... So, this is my first Tanigawadake Junmai Daiginjo! It was produced in 2019...6 years ago! It was stored at room temperature in the house! When I opened it, the color was like a caramel... The aroma is the same aroma I've smelled before at Kidoizumi... The taste, however, is not bad, with a sense of maturity, and the sweetness and umami of the rice are in good condition! I think it would probably taste better if it were warmed up! I will try it again later! This sake is very strong! And the next day... I tried warming it up. The aroma was okay, but the taste was much better! This is good... the umami is really coming on!

Calbee and Fukushima Prefecture's collaboration for the third stage! This time it's Suehiro Sake Brewery! They say it's "Amai" (sweet), but... well, what do you think? Well... this is sweet! The sweetness comes first, followed by a slight bitterness that refreshes the palate! As the temperature rises, the overall taste becomes rounder, and a light sourness can be felt at the same time. The sweetness is just as I imagined it would be, but it's not too strong, and it's not too bitter, so I think it would be fine even during a meal. By the way, the label shows mysterious characters drinking together... what are these guys?

Good morning 🐥, udon bread! This collaboration is interesting 😳👍It was hard fried potatoes with the first and second version, but I wonder what you are eating this time 😆I drink a lot of sweet stuff so I was curious 😊🎶.

Good morning Pon-chan 🥰Thank you for your comment! I took a closer look at the tiny label with my presbyopic eyes, and it looks like a potato...like a hard-fatty potato in shape, lol. It's quite a tasty drink!

This is the second collaboration between Calbee and Fukushima Prefecture! By the way, I bought 4 kinds of this collaboration at the supermarket, so I have 3 more including this one lol. This cat is also holding a bag of hard fries... do they fit together? The rice flavor and sweetness comes in softly, and then it goes down smoothly...it's so refreshing! I think this is the best for eating... nice, yummy! The sweet and sour taste is the same, but drinking this kind of sake is very calming! Postscript. It was gone before I knew it. 300 is not much.

It's been a long time since I've had Ichinozo's Himezen. I often see the ones sold in tiny cans in supermarkets, but this is the first time I've seen Himezen, and I can't stand still because I'm a sweet and sour person. Of course, the taste is just like Himezen! Sweet! Sour! That is, sweet and sour! I like it! (Lukewarm) It's a little less sweet than the regular Himezen...? To be honest, I can't feel that big of a difference, and I'm too sorry for being an uncle with a stupid tongue... It's 8% alcohol by volume, so I can gobble it up....

I found a collaboration between Calbee and Fukushima Prefecture... I've never tried it before, but I've never tried it before... There is a fox eating a hard-fat fries... I wonder if it goes well with it... The slight sweetness gives the taste of rice, with a hint of bitterness... The aftertaste is rather strong, but not unpleasant. It's just right as a food sake, and it goes well with today's dinner of hot pot without interfering with it. I think it might be good warmed up...

I'm off to planetary exploration (greeting) So, this is Koro's Planet No. 9! Sweet and sour, that's all I have to say, and I can afford to buy it (a little bit). I wonder how different it would be with type-B...? It has a sweetness at the beginning, but it is not too sweet, and it finishes with a chili feeling, a sourness that is not too strong, and a citrusy aftertaste. The citrus aftertaste is interesting... my current sensation is a slight taste of Bon Temps candy. I can't say for sure, since it may change depending on my physical condition, what I had just before, what I ate, and the temperature, but I feel like it's not just sweet and sour, as I feel like I'm drinking it right now! It's a light drink, so I guess it can go before or after a meal... I like it.

Kouei Chrysanthemum is my second wife (worldly talk) So this is Tsukikage. I've had this before, but Shinriki... must have used divine power, this is your first time! It was bottled in February this year and stored at -5 degrees Celsius for about 8 months before being shipped...I'm looking forward to it! The taste is Koei-Kiku's signature sourness-centered assembly. The sweetness comes afterwards, so it is not just sour! I've been told that the taste will change again after opening the package... I'll be drinking this one little by little!

The last of this month's favorite honored chrysanthemum... It is Anastasia orange! They challenged themselves to create a bottle that would allow you to enjoy the gentle sweetness of Anastasia Green and the citrusiness of Dusk Orange at the same time... As a lover of both (especially twilight orange), I couldn't resist! The taste is... oh, I see... The sweetness is indeed light, and from there, there is a sourness that feels like a chrysanthemum, and finally, it finishes with a slight bitterness that is not unpleasant. Anyway, it has a light flavor from start to finish without being harsh, so you won't get tired of drinking it. As the temperature rises, it becomes rounder and you can certainly taste a gentle sweetness... It might taste better if it is not cooled down too much.

It's been a long time since I've had a Hana-yosu! I hesitated to open the bottle for a while, but I opened it! It is THE MATCH! It is a combination of two types of sake rice, Yamada-Nishiki and Omachi... Well, what does it taste like? The aroma is a stable hana-yoso aroma! The taste comes from the acidity, followed by a light sweetness, and finishes with bitterness! Of course, while drinking it, the unique aroma of Huayouyasumi is passing through your nose, and it is very pleasant... Yes, it's good...(sincerity)

Last in the series of Niigata souvenirs! Candy Apple from Naeba Sake Brewery! The label is just so cute! I wonder if it's an apple candy... I can't wait to see how it tastes! The aroma...oh, I've smelled this many times at Kidoizumi! I can smell it a little when I put it in my mouth, but that's just because it's an aged sake. The taste has an apple-like sourness, but the sweetness is just as good as the name! The aftertaste has a light bitterness, but it is not too strong. The apple taste increases as the temperature rises, so it might be better not to cool it down too much. It was sold at room temperature at the store. Yes, it's delicious!

So, it's been a while since I've been on top of this! Neo-Classics and the like already stick in the minds of HR/HM lovers because of the name, you know what I mean! (speaking rapidly) Basically, it's an acidity-based assembly... The sweetness comes from the acidity and finishes with the acidity. (It may be a little strange since it is after a certain amount of drinking...) There is an alu feeling in the sensation after drinking, so you may not like it here. However, the short aftertaste after drinking means that it is easy to drink, so I think this is a plus. Personally, I like the taste! P.S. This sake is more interesting at room temperature than too chilled...! I recommend it at Hanayakie or chilled!

The perfect blend of white koji sake and kiwi-derived sake in an 8:2 ratio has created an unprecedentedly refreshing and juicy sake! The acidity of the white koji and the fruity sweetness make this a new sake that is easy to drink even for beginners. It's too long... (blank stare) So, it seems that Kamizenjosui has taken advantage of Donkey's passionate price series to create an interesting sake! As the name suggests, it tastes like kiwi, and the white yeast rice flavor is mainly acidic. The aftertaste is also refreshing, so it's good...it's good! The alcohol level is 12 degrees, so you can easily enjoy it! If you like sourness, you'll love this... it's good! And the price is very reasonable! (I think it's about 1,200 yen?)

Souvenir of Niigata No. 4! It's Echino Kanbai, which used to be called "pre-sake" (my father's age, right?)! I heard from an acquaintance that the pink label was very tasty! It tastes very dry! -I kept it at 5 degrees Celsius, but it has a strong watery taste, and the bitterness in the aftertaste is rather strong! However, this sake is sold as it is at room temperature, and when the temperature changes, it becomes more gorgeous! I think the alu feeling at the end may be different for different tastes. I don't know what it is because the feeling is so different from when I drank it at Ponshukan...

August is almost over... It was a hot and humid day with no sound of autumn, so today I'm serving Kankoubai+! I bought it just by looking at the label! Basically, I rarely buy sake that claims to be dry, but... what do you think? It starts off with a strong caramelized sweetness, and then it just goes straight into the bottle! The bitterness is not that strong, and the aftertaste is more of a lingering sweetness. It is a better sake to drink with something to eat than the Eiko-Fuji we had the day before. Sake that is complete on its own is also good, but it is important to enjoy drinking it with something to eat! Yes, this one is good!

Good work Friday, me! This time it's Crimson Glory by Eiko Fuji! I don't know why this name makes me so horny as an HR/HM lover... (blurts out) When I poured it, it was as pink as its name! I haven't had a different color since I drank Ine Mangaka some time ago...red yeast is amazing... It tastes sweet! Sweet! A little sour! I love it! (So sweet!) The sweetness is the main taste, and the sourness is just an afterthought. The sake degree of -64 is not bad... Thanks to the light alcohol content of 10 degrees, it is easy to drink... but the sweetness makes it rather tiring to drink, lol. However, I'm not sure if it can be called sake or not, it's kind of a neo-nihon-shu. If you haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend it!

Happy Birthday me (greetings) So, I'm one step closer to becoming araffi again... Birthday celebration is the third souvenir from Niigata! It's Yuki no Mayubara shochu made by Naeba Sake Brewery, which I had a chance to visit during my trip! It's my first time to try shochu brewing, so I'm really looking forward to it! The taste is... ohhh... If you drink it like you usually drink Yukimayu, you will be surprised at the taste... It is quite heavy. It starts with sweetness, but the alu feeling comes in a big way, and the aftertaste is sweet and tingling a little, and then disappears. Well... this is not quite to my taste... I'll try drinking it at different temperatures... (Note 1) When I raise the temperature, it becomes softer and more angular. The sweetness is more intense and the heaviness is calmed down, but there is still a tingling aftertaste... (Note 2) This is a personal feeling, but... I felt the heaviness and sweetness similar to when I drank Ryujinmaru. The complexity of the aftertaste is quite different... Taste varies from person to person, so please forgive me.

Niigata Souvenir Series #2 Echigo-Tsurukame is famous as the pioneer of wine yeast brewing! It has a caramel-like sweetness, a wine-like acidity, a light alty taste on the nose, and a slight bitterness, and it finishes with a refreshing crispness! It is different from the wine yeast brewed Hato Masamune and Hououmida... It has a very light aftertaste, yet it has a wine-like astringency. It seems to have a characteristic or not...it is difficult to evaluate... I've had a lot of wine yeast brewed sake, so that's how I feel about it, but I think it would be rather shocking if a beginner to sake drank it.

I went on a trip to Niigata! (After the fact) So here it is, the first souvenir, Sasa Sundae by Sasa Shukui! It looked so good and the pop-up said it was "sweet and sour"! I bought it immediately! Officially, it says Sasa Sunday is a sweet and sour sake that makes the most of "acidity". So...I'm going to drink it on Saturday after returning from my trip. Basically, it is centered on the acidity, but it is not that strong... The soft acidity is followed by a slight sweetness (quite slight), but it easily goes away and finishes with a slight bitterness. As the temperature rises, the acidity becomes a little more pronounced, so you can enjoy drinking it at different temperatures depending on your mood. I imagine that this is an answer from a Niigata sake brewery that specializes in light, dry sake to the sweet and acidic styles that have become mainstream in recent years... I have my own imagination! Vector-wise, it is like a light Kabutomushi!

Recently, we have been seeing more and more names of KANKENBAI! This time, we welcomed Mr. Owl! Now, what does it taste like...? It has a grape-like sweetness with a sour and bitter aftertaste. Also, the sweetness stays for a rather long time. It tastes even better when the temperature is raised a little, as it seems that the various corners become mellow. It's good....after all....yummy!
