August is almost over... It was a hot and humid day with no sound of autumn, so today I'm serving Kankoubai+! I bought it just by looking at the label! Basically, I rarely buy sake that claims to be dry, but... what do you think? It starts off with a strong caramelized sweetness, and then it just goes straight into the bottle! The bitterness is not that strong, and the aftertaste is more of a lingering sweetness. It is a better sake to drink with something to eat than the Eiko-Fuji we had the day before. Sake that is complete on its own is also good, but it is important to enjoy drinking it with something to eat! Yes, this one is good!

Hi, udon bread 😃. I wonder if autumn is coming ⁉️ 🥵! I guess it means the sake level is + because it's dry 🧐A crisp sake that enhances the food 😋.

Good work Friday, me! This time it's Crimson Glory by Eiko Fuji! I don't know why this name makes me so horny as an HR/HM lover... (blurts out) When I poured it, it was as pink as its name! I haven't had a different color since I drank Ine Mangaka some time ago...red yeast is amazing... It tastes sweet! Sweet! A little sour! I love it! (So sweet!) The sweetness is the main taste, and the sourness is just an afterthought. The sake degree of -64 is not bad... Thanks to the light alcohol content of 10 degrees, it is easy to drink... but the sweetness makes it rather tiring to drink, lol. However, I'm not sure if it can be called sake or not, it's kind of a neo-nihon-shu. If you haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend it!

Happy Birthday me (greetings) So, I'm one step closer to becoming araffi again... Birthday celebration is the third souvenir from Niigata! It's Yuki no Mayubara shochu made by Naeba Sake Brewery, which I had a chance to visit during my trip! It's my first time to try shochu brewing, so I'm really looking forward to it! The taste is... ohhh... If you drink it like you usually drink Yukimayu, you will be surprised at the taste... It is quite heavy. It starts with sweetness, but the alu feeling comes in a big way, and the aftertaste is sweet and tingling a little, and then disappears. Well... this is not quite to my taste... I'll try drinking it at different temperatures... (Note 1) When I raise the temperature, it becomes softer and more angular. The sweetness is more intense and the heaviness is calmed down, but there is still a tingling aftertaste... (Note 2) This is a personal feeling, but... I felt the heaviness and sweetness similar to when I drank Ryujinmaru. The complexity of the aftertaste is quite different... Taste varies from person to person, so please forgive me.

Thanks for your comment, Pon-chan! Well...I drank it in my usual Yukinomayu mood and was surprised to find that it gave me a big thump💦. I would drink it cold anyway, or maybe warm it up...it's hard to handle!

Niigata Souvenir Series #2 Echigo-Tsurukame is famous as the pioneer of wine yeast brewing! It has a caramel-like sweetness, a wine-like acidity, a light alty taste on the nose, and a slight bitterness, and it finishes with a refreshing crispness! It is different from the wine yeast brewed Hato Masamune and Hououmida... It has a very light aftertaste, yet it has a wine-like astringency. It seems to have a characteristic or not...it is difficult to evaluate... I've had a lot of wine yeast brewed sake, so that's how I feel about it, but I think it would be rather shocking if a beginner to sake drank it.

I went on a trip to Niigata! (After the fact) So here it is, the first souvenir, Sasa Sundae by Sasa Shukui! It looked so good and the pop-up said it was "sweet and sour"! I bought it immediately! Officially, it says Sasa Sunday is a sweet and sour sake that makes the most of "acidity". So...I'm going to drink it on Saturday after returning from my trip. Basically, it is centered on the acidity, but it is not that strong... The soft acidity is followed by a slight sweetness (quite slight), but it easily goes away and finishes with a slight bitterness. As the temperature rises, the acidity becomes a little more pronounced, so you can enjoy drinking it at different temperatures depending on your mood. I imagine that this is an answer from a Niigata sake brewery that specializes in light, dry sake to the sweet and acidic styles that have become mainstream in recent years... I have my own imagination! Vector-wise, it is like a light Kabutomushi!

Recently, we have been seeing more and more names of KANKENBAI! This time, we welcomed Mr. Owl! Now, what does it taste like...? It has a grape-like sweetness with a sour and bitter aftertaste. Also, the sweetness stays for a rather long time. It tastes even better when the temperature is raised a little, as it seems that the various corners become mellow. It's good....after all....yummy! I'm not sure if this is a mistake or not. I deleted one of the two posts because they were the same... my apologies!

My devotion to Kouei Chrysanthemum went as far as it could go, and this is what I ended up with (smile). So here it is, a jar of Kouei Kiku sake! It's a very expensive sake, 4,500 yen for a 4-pack... I'm surprised you bought it. I'm going to have it with a straight collar! The sweetness, acidity, and a good amount of bitterness are all balanced to a high degree... this is delicious... I won't say any more boring things, it's really good!

Our company is not closed for Obon either! (blank stare) So, after a week of hard work, I... Let's have a toast with Urasato's Sakura Sho Sparkling! It's much lower alcohol content (6%). I think I can gobble this up! And the rice... Milky Queen! What kind of rice is that? How does it taste? Sweet! Sour! Light! Delicious! (Nicely done!) As you can imagine, it's just the way I like it! The sweetness that gives the taste of grape, the light sourness, and the carbonated sourness make it easy to drink! It is similar to Suzune and Mio, but the quality of sweetness is different from them. This is the one that can be emptied in one night - delicious!

YAT Safe Space Travel! (Greetings) So, here we are at the first Koroh, Planet No. 9! I wonder if it's called "Planet 9" because it uses Kumamoto yeast... I was expecting a spicy taste! It has a fruity, light sweetness and acidity, and the bitterness comes on rather strongly and is refreshingly crisp. It's not too bitter to drink even in hot weather! The alcohol content is low at 14 degrees, so there is no heaviness. The higher the temperature, the stronger the alcohol taste becomes. I prefer to drink it well chilled.

I bought it because it was recommended to me by my favorite shopkeeper! I haven't had Isokura since I drank Inari a long time ago... The clerk told me that the brewer said, "Even if you like this one, we don't make sake like this one because it's a test brew, so we'll recommend something else. Well, let's see what it tastes like...? First of all, without mixing the orikashi...oh...it has a strong lactic acidity! It has a sweetness and acidity that is not too much, and the alcohol content is a solid 16%, so it is very drinkable! When mixed with Ori, it gives a refreshing feeling, and at the same time, the sweetness in the back comes out a little bit, which is also very nice. Usually, the sweetness is reduced after mixing with ori, but this is the first time I have experienced this, and it is very interesting! It is not a good drink for summer, but I think it is a good drink for summer!

The first one in August is Prototype 5 in Urasato! I'm kind of looking forward to it since it's already out every year. w This time, they challenged the "Sanshoku Yuhi yeast yeast", which was discontinued in the early Meiji era... They brewed amazake with rice malt and steamed rice, and added lactic acid bacteria (U2 strain) with the brewery. Of course, it is a test brew! I'm looking forward to it! As the label says, it has a light sweetness with moderate acidity, and the alcohol content is 12%, which makes it seem quite easy to drink... but it has a strong aftertaste. The first impression is that it is light and easy to drink. It's rather interesting how it develops after making you think it's light and easy to drink. Whatever the case may be, it tastes good after all! That's all I can say... I'm looking forward to next year!

It's been a long time since I've been in the purple space! And what's more, isn't this cotton candy too cute...? By the way, I'm the type of person who likes things last (see the label on the back). The sweetness comes out a long time before the sourness, but it is a very sweet and sour sake with a soft acidity that has a Yakult-like taste. It's a very sweet and sour sake with a soft sourness that has a Yakult feel to it! I highly recommend this sake to sake beginners! However, this is a bit of a departure from what you might expect from a sake, so it might not be the best choice for you to base yourself on. Well...it's delicious!

Purchased at Showagura, a sake tasting place in Kawagoe! It was my favorite of all the sake I tried...well, I probably would have bought it without question even if I hadn't since it is made with wine yeast...w Basically, it's an acidity-centered assembly. The wine yeast flavor is sourness, followed by a light sweetness, and then the sourness finishes it off. The aftertaste is not that strong, which is also a nice touch. It's perfect for drinking in the summer! It is also good for beginners of sake. The sake is fire-aged, which makes it easy to carry and store, but I think it tastes better if you chill it thoroughly when you drink it!

It's not raining, so we have to pray for rain (mission statement). So it has been raining for a long time! SHUN_YO...? I wondered what it meant, but it was taken from the low-protein rice "Shunyo". The taste is more refreshing than I expected. The sweetness with a grape-like taste is followed by a slight effervescence, which is soon cut off by a bitter taste. I was expecting a bit of a bitter taste centered on the sweetness, but I was disappointed in a good way! The bitterness lingers in the aftertaste as well, but I have a feeling that this is not to everyone's liking... It is a good summer drink! Drink it well chilled!

There is no night that does not dawn! (true to form) So, the first event of July will be "Byakuya" in Koshi! Just like the midnight sun, which has no boundary between day and night, they want people to enjoy themselves without being bound by conventional rules, so they are not disclosing any information! Oh... this...! This is...! It's quite a light sake! The sweetness comes first, followed by a bit of sourness, then bitterness, and then it goes in very smoothly. The sweetness lingers for a long time in the aftertaste. It's too hot to drink much sake this time of year, but if you chill it well, it goes down smoothly! Personally, I would have been happy if it had a little more acidity...but it is more than enough to make a delicious sake!

I have already reviewed the old Kabutomushi, but I will review it again! As one might expect from a summer lemon squash, the sourness is quite pronounced. Sourness in the beginning, sourness in between, and sourness in the aftertaste! Sourness, sourness, sourness, sourness, sourness... Sake for sourness skiers is a must! However, it is still the best sake for summer! If you like acidity, this is a must!

Za "lu" sohourai! (as usual) So, please give me oringo! Actually, this was the first time I heard about Zanso Hourai... Anyway, Kuroshiba is cute! Oh... apple feeling indeed! From the sweetness, there is an acidity with a bitter taste, and it finishes dry... It is quite a profound taste! While most apple-based wines have a light sweet and sour taste, this one has a robust, dark apple flavor, almost like a wine in a sense! It tastes very caramelized when you drink it. It may be a bit tiring to drink... but this is quite interesting... it is delicious!

June starts with you! So I thought I'd start off June with some sake from my home prefecture of Ibaraki. Oh... this... The sweetness comes, then the sourness, then the light bitterness, and then the sweetness is quickly followed by the sourness, and then the bitterness is quickly followed by the bitterness. It's like a sweet, then an acid, then a bitter, each coming one after the other, but then the next one comes soon after, and the last one finishes easily, so it goes by in a flash...that's how I feel... What is this sake...amazing!
